Franke Urban Fragranite Sinks: Installation and Service Guide

This document provides comprehensive instructions for the installation and maintenance of Franke Urban series sinks, made from durable Fragranite material.

Installation Guide

Follow these steps for proper installation:

  1. Preparation and Tools

    Gather necessary tools: tape measure, pencil, ruler, screwdriver, jigsaw, sealant gun, and drill. Ensure a clean and safe workspace.

  2. Unpacking and Inspection

    Carefully unpack the sink and all accessories. Check that all components are present and undamaged.

  3. Countertop Cutout

    Refer to the technical specifications for precise cutout dimensions (A, B, r1, r2). Mark these dimensions on your countertop. Note the required cutout depth (H 9.5 mm).

  4. Sealant Application (Inset Mount)

    For inset installations, apply a continuous bead of sealant around the edge of the countertop cutout to ensure a watertight seal.

  5. Sink Placement

    Carefully place the sink into the prepared countertop cutout.

  6. Securing the Sink

    From underneath the countertop, attach the provided mounting clips to secure the sink firmly in place. Ensure clips are tightened evenly.

  7. Faucet and Drain Installation

    Install the faucet and drain assembly according to their respective instructions. If required, drill a 35 mm hole in the sink or countertop for the faucet base.

  8. Plumbing Connections

    Connect the water supply lines and the waste pipe to the drain assembly.

  9. Final Checks

    Ensure all connections are tight and the sink is stable. Check for any leaks.

  10. Curing Time

    Allow the sealant to cure for at least 24 hours before using the sink or placing heavy objects on it.
