General Information
This guide provides operating instructions for the Danfoss AB-PM DN 40-100 valve.
Pressure Rating: pmax 400 kPa (4 bar)
Operating Temperature Range: -10 °C to 120 °C
1. Mounting of Handle
Follow these steps to mount the handle:
Attach the handle components as shown in the diagram. Ensure correct orientation of parts.
Diagram shows assembly of handle parts, including a connection point labeled G 1/16 thread, and part numbers 003Z0690, 003L8151, 003Z0695.Connect the handle assembly to the valve stem.
Diagram shows the handle assembly being fitted onto the valve stem.Tighten the handle securing mechanism.
Diagram indicates a torque of maximum 2 Nm for securing the handle.
2. Installation
Ensure correct installation of the impulse tube:
Impulse tube connection to flow: Connect the impulse tube to the designated flow port on the valve body.
Diagram shows an impulse tube connected to the 'Flow' port, labeled 003L8151.Impulse tube connection to return: Connect the impulse tube to the designated return port on the valve body.
Diagram shows an impulse tube connected to the 'Return' port, labeled 003L8151.Alternative connection: An alternative connection method is also illustrated.
Diagram shows an alternative impulse tube connection setup.
Note: It is recommended to perform these steps before pressurizing the system.
3. Setting: Flow %
This setting is best performed before pressurizing the system.
The valve allows setting the flow percentage from 40% to 100%.
Note: 1 turn of the setting knob corresponds to a 10% change in flow.
DN | Factory Setting (Ap setting) | Min. Setting | Max. Setting |
---|---|---|---|
40-50 | 80 | 40 | 100 |
65-100 | 60 | 40 | 100 |
4. Setting: Ap Setting
This setting is best performed before pressurizing the system.
The Ap (pressure differential) setting adjusts the valve's operating characteristics.
DN | n (turns) | Ap Setting |
---|---|---|
40, 50 | 0 turns | Min. setting (factory setting) |
40, 50 | Up to 20 turns | Max. setting |
65, 80, 100 | 0 turns | Min. setting (factory setting) |
65, 80, 100 | Up to 40 turns | Max. setting |
5. Manual Shut-off
To manually shut off the valve:
- Turn the handle clockwise to close the valve.
- Turn the handle counter-clockwise to open the valve.
6. Measuring
The valve allows for pressure measurements at various points:
- P1-P3: Measure the pressure differential across the flow path.
- P1-P2: Measure the pressure differential across the actuator.
- P0-P1: Measure the pressure differential across the valve body.
7. Mounting Actuator
This section describes how to mount an actuator to the valve.
Actuator Model Example: AME 435 QM.
Follow the specific instructions for the actuator being used.
Note: Ensure the actuator is securely mounted. Maximum torque for actuator mounting is 25 Nm.
Diagram shows the process of mounting an actuator (e.g., AME 435 QM) onto the AB-PM valve body. Part numbers BV.I.046.6/01 and BV.I.047.2/01 are referenced.Contact Information
