Radio Operation
FM Radio
FM radio (Frequency Modulated) offers clear sound but can be obstructed by buildings or mountains. Frequency range: 87.5-108MHz.
Scanning FM Radio: Pull out the antenna, press the "FM" button. Hold the "SCAN" button for over 3 seconds to auto-scan channels. The display will show the scanning progress. Upon completion, it will play the first scanned channel.
AM (MW) Radio
AM (Medium Wave) is susceptible to electromagnetic interference from chargers, lights, and computers. It is recommended to scan in areas with less interference. AM has a longer wave that can bypass obstacles. Frequency range: 522 – 1710 KHz.
Scanning AM Radio: Press the "AM" button. Hold the "SCAN" button for over 3 seconds to auto-scan channels. The display will show the scanning progress. Upon completion, it will play the first scanned channel.
SW Radio
SW (Short Wave) signal reception is dependent on weather conditions; it is often better to receive SW signals at night. Frequency range: 2300-21950 KHz.
Scanning SW Radio: Press the "SW" button. Hold the "SCAN" button for over 3 seconds to auto-scan channels. The display will show the scanning progress. Upon completion, it will play the first scanned channel.
After scanning, use the [previous-button] or [next-button] to switch channels, or use the number buttons (0-9) to select a specific channel by its number or frequency.
Memory Radio Channels and Delete Radio Channels Manually
Memory Radio Channels Manually
If a desired radio channel has a weak signal and is not captured by auto-scan, you can save it manually:
- By Frequency: Enter the channel frequency using the number buttons (0-9), then press the Memory/Delete button (20). The display will show "SAVE". You can then select the saved channel using its number or by tuning.
- By Tuning: Tune to the desired channel using the [tuning-knob], then shortly press the Memory/Delete button (20) to save it.
Delete Radio Channels Manually
To delete unwanted or noisy channels:
- Select the channel you wish to delete using the [previous-button] or [next-button].
- Hold the Memory/Delete button (20) for 3 seconds. The display will show "DEL", indicating the channel has been deleted.
The Battery Charging Method
- If the USB/TF playback is intermittent or the display screen flashes, the battery voltage is low. Connect the device to a power source using the USB charging cable (connect the large end to a computer USB port or power adapter, and the small end to the DC 5V charging jack). The LED charging indicator will turn red while charging.
- Charging time is 3-5 hours. The LED charging indicator turns green when fully charged.
