Introduction

Congratulations on your purchase of an Intelbras product, known for its quality and security. The IVR 1070 HS video intercom system offers advanced features for enhanced home security and communication.

The IVR 1070 HS supports the installation of an additional camera, allowing for monitoring of a second area within the residence, and also enables the connection to a second gate (garage door). It is compatible with the 1010 EA audio extension for video and up to 3 audio extensions, providing convenient communication across different areas of the home. Furthermore, it can integrate with a Digital Video Recorder (DVR). The external module is equipped with infrared LEDs for clear visibility in low-light conditions and supports the connection of an electric lock, which can be activated by a push-button.

Note: Each video extension allows the installation of up to 3 audio extensions, for a total of 8 installation points. The video intercom integrates with analog cameras only; it does not support HDCVI, TVI, or AHD technologies.

Installation

Mounting the Indoor Module

  1. Remove the wall mount bracket by sliding it downwards.
  2. Fix the bracket to a 4x2 junction box or directly to the wall, and connect the cables to the product's connector as per item 7. Installation.
  3. Attach the connector to the product and secure it to the bracket by sliding the product downwards.

Mounting the Outdoor Module

  1. Remove the product's screw to release the front cover. Disconnect the microphone and speaker cables to remove the front cover.
  2. Pass the installation cable through the indicated location and attach the outdoor module directly to a 4x2 box or use the drilling template (at the end of this guide) to drill a hole in the wall.
  3. After installing the cables, as per item 7. Installation, reconnect the microphone and speaker cables. Then, attach the cover and secure it with the screw.

Attention: Ensure there are no excess cables inside the product to prevent mechanical issues during closure. Organize cables so they do not interfere with the activation switches or the speaker support.

Observation: Ensure the product cover is securely fastened to prevent the Tamper alarm from activating unintentionally. Install the product at an average height of 1.60 meters for satisfactory visitor visualization and communication.

Audio Configuration of the Outdoor Module

The reception (Rx) and transmission (Tx) levels of the outdoor module can be configured using jumpers JP1 and JP2 on the electronic board. Remove the outdoor module's cover to access these settings.

Observation: The product ships with Tx and Rx levels set to Medium. Opening the outdoor module while it is powered on will trigger a tamper alarm, which can be silenced by removing the handset or pressing a button on the indoor module. Always remove the handset before opening the outdoor module after installation to avoid triggering the tamper alarm.

Cabling

Choosing the Right Cable

Verify the maximum cabling distance between modules and select the appropriate cable. Avoid cable splices and use approved cables for optimal performance. The choice of cable ensures correct product operation.

Observation: Prefer installation in exclusive conduits for the video intercom to prevent unwanted noise induction.

Between Indoor and Outdoor Modules

Use the following table to select the correct cable for module installation based on distance:

Note: Use 6 wires (3 pairs) and reserve 2 wires (1 pair) for garage door or additional camera installation.

Between Indoor Module and Garage Door

When using UTP network cable, the remaining wire pair can be used for garage door installation (gate 2). If necessary, an additional UTP cable may be required for camera or garage door installation.

Between Indoor Module and Additional Camera

When using UTP network cable, the remaining wire pair can be used for additional camera installation (camera 2). If necessary, an additional UTP cable may be required for camera or garage door installation.

Between Outdoor Module and Electric Lock (Gate 1) and Buzzer

Use a pair of wires with a 1.5 mm² gauge for distances up to 50 meters from the outdoor module. For shorter distances, 0.5 mm² cables can be used.

Between Outdoor Module and Buzzer

Use a pair of wires with a minimum 1 mm² gauge for distances up to 30 meters. For shorter distances, 0.5 mm² cables can be used.

Installation

Connecting Indoor and Outdoor Modules

Interconnect the outdoor module's connector position 1 to the indoor module's connector position 1, and similarly for other positions, respecting the numbering order and cable type.

Attention: Make all product connections before applying power.

Installation with UTP Network Cable (up to 50 meters)

For UTP network cable, short the pairs as shown in the diagram. Follow the description for product installation.

Observations: The installation connector on the indoor module can be removed for wiring. The unused wire pair (brown and white/brown) can be used for additional camera or garage door installation (see section 7.3). The AC cable is not included. If the brown and white/brown wires are not used, it is recommended to connect them to position 3. Installations with the additional video extension using UTP cable must respect the maximum distance of 50 meters between the outdoor module and the last video extension.

Installation with Balun (up to 50 meters)

The use of passive baluns is recommended for installations prone to noise, even if all previous recommendations have been followed. Noise can be caused by old cables, non-Anatel approved cables, water in conduits, and electromagnetic induction from other equipment. Balun installation should follow the wiring diagram.

Attention: For installations with non-Anatel approved UTP cables, respect the maximum installation distance of 25 meters and connect the brown and white/brown pair to position 3. Prefer installation in exclusive conduits for the video intercom to prevent noise induction.

Installation with Coaxial Cable (up to 100 meters)

For installations exceeding 50 meters, up to 100 meters, coaxial cable installation is recommended.

Attention: The coaxial cable shield must be connected to position 3 (ground), and the center conductor (signal) must be connected to position 2 (Video). The coaxial cable must be properly insulated with electrical tape to prevent short circuits.

Operation

Connecting Outdoor Module and Gate 1 / Buzzer

To open gates individually, connect a 12V electric lock to the FA and FB (Lock) positions on the outdoor module. To activate gates via a buzzer, connect the buzzer to position 3 and the BOT position on the outdoor module.

Attention: Before closing the outdoor module cover, ensure that excess cables are neatly arranged inside the product to prevent damage or operational issues.

Connecting Indoor Module and Gate 2

The Gate 2 button is used to open garage doors (automatic openers) and as a control for magnetic lock activation.

Garage Door Installation

Connect the gate motor's buzzer wires to positions C and NA (pins 9 and 10) of the indoor module connector, as shown in the image.

Operation

When a visitor presses the Call button on the outdoor module, the video intercom's doorbell will ring, and the camera image will appear on the screen. To open the garage door, you have two options:

Observation: When the Gate 2 button is pressed to open the garage door, the screen will turn off for approximately 3 seconds. The video intercom is compatible with any garage door opener on the market.

Electro-magnetic Lock Installation

An electro-magnetic lock can be installed on the Gate 2 output. A charger power supply and a buzzer are required for installation. Connect the C and NA pins (pins 9 and 10) of the indoor module connector to the Button input of the charger power supply. Also, connect a buzzer to the same input, and then connect the charger power supply to the AC mains.

Operation

When a visitor presses the Call button on the outdoor module, the video intercom's doorbell will ring, and the camera image will appear on the screen. To activate the electro-magnetic lock, you have two options:

  1. Answer the call by picking up the handset and pressing the Gate 2 button; or
  2. If you recognize the visitor, press the Gate 2 button without answering the call.

Attention: It is crucial that the charger power supply has an internal battery to ensure the electro-magnetic lock functions during power outages. Always install a buzzer when using a charger power supply, so that in case of a power failure, the user can open the door by deactivating the electro-magnet.

Observation: When the electro-magnetic lock activation button is pressed, the screen will turn off for approximately 3 seconds. The charger power supply, lock, and buzzer are not included with the video intercom.

Between Indoor Module and DVR

The video intercom provides a video output connection for a DVR, replicating the screen image to the DVR. Connect pins 11 and 12 of the indoor module (SV- and SV+) to a DVR input, as illustrated.

Observation: The video output is always active and does not require any configuration to be enabled.

Installing an Additional Camera

Any analog (CVBS) camera can be installed, allowing the user to view another area besides the main entrance. Connect the camera to the indicated terminals (V2- and V2+) using passive baluns for this installation, as shown in the image.

Observations: Not using baluns will cause noise in the product's image. The camera's power supply is not included. The product is not compatible with AHD, HDCVI, or HDTVI technologies. If the user presses the Camera 2 button and no camera is installed, the monitor screen will be black. When an additional camera is installed, pressing the Camera 2 button will display the camera image on the product's screen for 30 seconds.

Installing Video Extensions

In addition to the main indoor module, an additional video indoor module can be connected. Connect the video extension from the main indoor module following the connection instructions shown in the image, according to the video extension model.

Video Extension IVR 1070

Interconnect the main monitor with the video extension following the connection instructions in the image below.

Operation: When the visitor presses the Call button on the outdoor module, the doorbell of both indoor video modules will ring. To answer, pick up the handset. To grant access, press the button corresponding to the gate you wish to open.

Observations: Respect the maximum installation distance as described in item 6. Cabling. The cable connection mode must follow item 7. Installation, according to the cable type used. When using the IVR 1010 model as a video extension, the user must choose between viewing camera 2 or activating the garage door. For more information, consult the complete manual for this product on the Intelbras website. When answering on one of the indoor modules, the second module will remain inactive, meaning you cannot answer or activate locks/garage doors from it. Distinct garage door activations can be used for each indoor module by connecting each device to a separate indoor video module and configuring its settings. To activate a single garage door from both monitors, connect the C-NA pins in parallel between the indoor modules, allowing either monitor to activate the same garage door. Separate extra cameras can be used for each monitor by connecting them to individual indoor video modules according to their configuration. To view the same camera on both monitors, connect the V2- and V2+ pins of the IVR 1070 in parallel with the corresponding pins on the IVR 1010, allowing both monitors to display the same camera. The IVR 1070 can use both camera 2 and gate 2, as their outputs are independent.

Video Extension IVR 1010

Interconnect the main monitor with the video extension following the connection instructions in the image below.

Attention: Respect the maximum installation distance as described in item 6. Cabling. The cable connection mode must follow item 7. Installation, according to the cable type used. When using the IVR 1010 model as a video extension, the user must choose between viewing camera 2 or activating the garage door. For more information, consult the complete manual for this product on the Intelbras website. When answering on one of the indoor modules, the second module will remain inactive, meaning you cannot answer or activate locks/garage doors from it. Distinct garage door activations can be used for each indoor module by connecting each device to a separate indoor video module and configuring its settings. To activate a single garage door from both monitors, connect the C-NA pins in parallel between the indoor modules, allowing either monitor to activate the same garage door. Separate extra cameras can be used for each monitor by connecting them to individual indoor video modules according to their configuration. To view the same camera on both monitors, connect the V2- and V2+ pins of the IVR 1070 in parallel with the corresponding pins on the IVR 1010, allowing both monitors to display the same camera. The IVR 1070 can use both camera 2 and gate 2, as their outputs are independent.

Installing Audio Extensions

Up to 3 audio extensions can be installed with the video intercom kit in each indoor video module. Installation is done using only 2 wires, connecting position 5 and 6 of the indoor video module to position 5 and 6 of the audio extension, as shown in the image.

When connecting 2 audio extensions, link them via positions 5 and 6.

Observation: The maximum distance between the indoor video module and the last audio extension should not exceed 50 meters. For more details on audio extension installation, refer to the complete extension manual on the Intelbras website.

Programming

Adjusting Brightness and/or Color

This function allows the user to adjust the brightness and/or color of the image displayed on the screen (camera 1 or camera 2) to improve the view of the external environment and the visitor. Follow the procedure below:

  1. With the screen off (no image) and the handset on the hook, select the camera for adjustment (Camera 1 or Camera 2).
  2. After the camera image appears on the screen, press the "brightness" button for the corresponding camera to adjust brightness, and press the Portão2 / color button to adjust the image color.

Observations: If the user is adjusting camera 1 and selects camera 2, the adjustment will apply to camera 2. The same applies in the opposite case. Pressing one of the buttons will display the brightness or color percentage for that camera on the screen. After finishing the adjustment, remove the handset from the hook, or press the camera button being adjusted for 3 seconds; a beep will indicate the operation is complete. If no user interaction occurs within 5 seconds, the product will automatically exit this function and retain the previously adjusted brightness and color settings.

Attention: Brightness and color cannot be adjusted during a call.

Mute Function

The Mute function, when activated, cancels the product's doorbell sound. When the visitor presses the call button on the outdoor module, only the camera image will appear on the screen. The Mute function lasts approximately 12 hours or until it is manually canceled.

To program the Mute function:

  1. With the screen off (no image) and the handset on the hook, press and hold the Portão 1/Silenciar button for 3 seconds. Audible signals (3 beeps) will confirm activation.
  2. The red LED will remain lit, indicating that the Mute function is active.

To cancel the Mute function:

  1. With the screen off (no image) and the handset on the hook, press and hold the Silenciar button for 3 seconds. Audible signals (2 beeps) will confirm cancellation.
  2. Answering a call by picking up the handset also cancels the function.

Attention: The Mute function operates locally. To prevent the doorbell from ringing on all indoor modules, this function must be enabled on each video extension.

Reset Function

The product can be reset to factory settings. Follow the procedure below:

  1. Keep the handset on the hook.
  2. Press and hold the Câmera 1 button for 3 seconds. Audible signals (3 beeps) will confirm.
  3. Then, press and hold the Portão 1 button for 3 seconds. Audible signals (3 beeps) will confirm.

Usability

Observation: If the outdoor module is opened/tampered with, the product will emit an alarm signal that will be deactivated under the following conditions:

Question Solution
I have a 12V lock from another brand. Can I install it with the IVR 1070 HS? Yes. The IVR 1070 HS is compatible with any 12V lock from any brand on the market.
Can I install the output (NA-C) in any electronic gate control that has a buzzer input? Yes. Check your gate control's manual for the correct connection to the electronic gate control's buzzer input.
Can I use any camera on the market for Camera 2? No. Only analog cameras can be connected to the product.
Can I install two outdoor modules in the same system? No. The IVR 1070 HS allows the installation of only one outdoor module.
Can I install a buzzer to open my lock? Yes. Install a normally open (NA) buzzer between terminals 3 and Bot on the outdoor module. Note: The buzzer only activates the electric lock output.
Can I power the product through the outdoor module? No. The IVR 1070 HS must be powered only through the indoor module.
Can I install audio extensions from other brands with my IVR 1070 HS? No. Always use the 1010 EA audio extension model from Intelbras for audio extension installations.
How many rings will I hear from the indoor module when the call button is pressed? If pressed quickly, the doorbell will ring for 1 second. If the Call button is held down, the doorbell will ring for 3 seconds.

Drilling Template

The drilling template increases installation precision. Use it to ensure accurate mounting. The included wall plugs and screws are 6 mm. Note: This drilling template refers to the outdoor module of the IVR 1070 HS product.

Warranty Terms

This contractual warranty is provided under the following conditions:

1. All parts, pieces, and components are guaranteed against manufacturing defects for a period of 1 year (3 months legal warranty + 9 months contractual warranty), starting from the purchase date, as stated on the purchase invoice, which is an integral part of this Term. This warranty covers free replacement of parts and components with manufacturing defects, including labor costs for repair. If no manufacturing defect is found, but rather a defect due to improper use, the customer will bear the costs.

2. Product installation must be performed according to the Product Manual and/or Installation Guide. If professional installation is required, seek a qualified and specialized technician; these costs are not included.

3. In case of defects, the customer must immediately contact the nearest Authorized Service Center listed by the manufacturer. Only these centers are authorized to diagnose and repair defects during the warranty period. Failure to comply will void the warranty.

4. For in-home service requests, consult the nearest Authorized Service Center for their technical visit fee. If product removal is necessary, the customer is responsible for transportation and safety costs.

6. This warranty does not cover data loss. Customers are advised to regularly back up their data.

7. Intelbras is not responsible for product installation or attempts at fraud/sabotage. Keep software and applications updated and maintain necessary network security measures against intrusions (hackers). The equipment is guaranteed under normal usage conditions; however, electronic equipment is susceptible to fraud and bypasses that may interfere with its proper functioning.

8. At the end of its useful life, the product should be delivered to an authorized Intelbras technical assistance center or disposed of properly to avoid environmental and health impacts. Alternatively, Intelbras brand batteries and electronics can be discarded at Green Electron collection points.
