2. Quick Start Guide

1. Press and hold the power button (MODE / ) to turn on the device.

2. Go to the PT pressure and temperature measurement screen and briefly press (< / ►) to select the refrigerant.

3. Connect the high and low pressure sides of the product to the system under test.

4. Temperature clamps are attached to the product at one end and to the system pipe being measured at the other.

5. The system being tested is turned on, at which point real-time changes in parameters such as system pressure, temperature, and saturation temperature can be monitored.

3. Operation Steps

3.1 Preparation for Measurement

1. Connect the temperature probe. The temperature probe must be connected to the product before measurement and will be identified automatically after power-on.

2. Press the power button to turn on the machine and enter the main interface (Figure 1).

3. Zero the pressure sensor (long press ZERO to zero it). Zero the pressure sensor before each measurement. Always disconnect the instrument from any pressure source and equalize it to external pressure before zeroing.

4. Connect the refrigerant tubes. The refrigerant tube on the low-pressure side (blue) and the refrigerant tube on the high-pressure side (red) are each connected to the instrument and to the system under test.

5. Adjust the refrigerant (briefly press < / ►) to select the required refrigerant. Refrigerant can only be switched in the saturation temperature sub-mode (EV CO).

3.2 Pressure-Temperature Measurement Mode (PT)

3.2.1 Saturation Temperature Sub-mode (EV CO)

After adjusting the refrigerant, the data is read, and the interface (Figure 1) displays the measured pressure, temperature, saturation temperature, and evaporation temperature values on the high and low-pressure sides.

Figure 1 Interface diagram of the saturation temperature sub-mode

3.2.2 Superheat-Subcooling Measurement Mode (SH SC)

Press the MODE button to enter the superheat and subcooling mode. The interface (Figure 2) displays the measured pressure, temperature, superheat, and subcooling values on the high and low-pressure sides.

Figure 2 Interface diagram of the superheat and subcooling degree sub-mode

3.2.3 Temperature Difference Sub-mode (AT)

Briefly press the MODE button to enter the temperature difference sub-mode. The interface (Figure 3) displays the measured pressure, temperature, and temperature difference values on the high and low-pressure sides.

Figure 3 Interface diagram of the temperature difference sub-mode

3.3 Evacuation Measurement Mode (VAC)

1. Connect the system to the high-pressure side and open the high-pressure side valve. The high-voltage side channel is the vacuum test port of the system.

2. Briefly press MODE + < / ► at the same time in the PT mode to enter the vacuum test VAC interface.

3. The product is connected to the vacuum pump and the system under test.

4. Turn on the vacuum pump and extract the system pressure. System vacuum is displayed when system pressure is lower than atmospheric pressure (i.e., pressure indication is less than 0); otherwise, - - - is displayed.

5. The interface (Figure 4) displays the current system pressure value, system vacuum level, and the timer to enter this interface.

Figure 4 Vacuum test interface

Tip: This vacuum function uses a non-professional vacuum sensor and can only be used to observe the approximate vacuum state of the system. If you need to accurately measure the system vacuum value, it is not recommended to use this instrument; please use a professional vacuum gauge.

3.4 Pressure Measurement Mode (HOLD)

1. Connect the refrigerant tube of the high-pressure side to the system under test and close the high-pressure valve. The high-voltage side channel is the system pressure holding test terminal.

2. To enter the pressure holding test: briefly press MODE + ► simultaneously.

3. To start the leak test: Briefly press the ► button, the ■ icon is displayed, and the timer starts (Figure 5). The timer counts every minute. After starting pressure holding, the initial value is displayed in the low-pressure zone and the current value in the high-pressure zone.

4. To end the leak test: Briefly press the ► button for the icon to appear (Figure 6).

5. View the test data and analyze the system's leak condition.

Figure 5 Start interface of the pressure holding test

Figure 6 End interface of the pressure holding test

Tip: The instrument comes with temperature compensation and is capable of performing gas tightness tests on compression systems. Leak analysis is performed by measuring system pressure and ambient temperature over a period of time. If the temperature compensation function is not needed, it can be disabled in the settings.

3.5 Setting Mode (SET)

3.5.1 Unit Setting

Temperature Unit

1. Long press the MODE button in any mode interface to enter the unit setting interface.

2. Briefly press < / ► to change the temperature units (Figure 7). If you only need to adjust the temperature unit, you can exit the setting by long pressing MODE after step 2.

Pressure Unit

1. Briefly press MODE in the setting interface to adjust the pressure unit.

2. Select the pressure unit by pressing < / ► (Figure 8). If you only need to adjust the pressure unit, you can exit the setting by long pressing MODE after step 2.
