IKEA NARRÖN Upholstered Bed Frame

Important Information

This document provides assembly instructions for the IKEA NARRÖN upholstered bed frame. Please read all instructions carefully before beginning assembly. Two people are recommended for assembly. Assemble on a soft surface, such as a rug, to avoid scratching the product. If you encounter any issues during assembly, consult this manual or contact IKEA customer support.

Required tools: Screwdriver, Allen key (included).

  • Part 100099: Screw (12x)
  • Part 128832: Dowel (8x)
  • Part 113117: Screw (6x)
  • Part 10079061: Spring clip (8x)

Assembly Steps

  1. Step 1

    Attach mounting brackets (part 10060638, 2x) to the side rails. Use 4x screws (part 10004072) and the Allen key (part 100092) for each bracket.

  2. Step 2

    Attach the headboard to the side rails. Use 8x screws (part 10004072) and the Allen key (part 100092) to secure the headboard to the side rails.

  3. Step 3

    Connect the footboard to one side rail. Use 2x screws (part 100118) and the Allen key (part 108490).

  4. Step 4

    Connect the footboard to the other side rail. Use 2x screws (part 100118) and the Allen key (part 108490).

  5. Step 5

    Insert spring clips (part 10079061, 8x) into the designated slots along the inner sides of the bed frame rails.

  6. Step 6

    Place the first two wooden slats onto the spring clips. Secure each slat end by inserting 1x screw (part 100099) through the slat and into the side rail using the Allen key (part 108490).

  7. Step 7

    Continue placing and securing the remaining wooden slats. Insert 1x screw (part 100099) for each slat end into the side rails using the Allen key (part 108490).

  8. Step 8

    Attach the headboard support brackets (part 10060637, 2x) to the headboard. Use 2x screws (part 100118) and the Allen key (part 108490).

  9. Step 9

    Insert dowels (part 128832, 8x) into the designated holes on the side rails, headboard, and footboard connections for alignment.

  10. Step 10

    Connect the headboard to the assembled frame. Align the dowels and screw holes, then secure with 2x screws (part 100099) and the Allen key (part 108490).

  11. Step 11

    Connect the footboard to the assembled frame. Align the dowels and screw holes, then secure with 2x screws (part 100099) and the Allen key (part 108490).

  12. Step 12

    Attach the central support legs. Use 2x screws (part 113117) and the Allen key (part 108490) for each leg. The diagram indicates three central legs are attached.

  13. Step 13

    Place the mattress support system (slatted base) onto the bed frame, aligning it with the frame structure.

  14. Step 14

    Perform a final check of the bed frame structure, ensuring all components are securely fastened and the frame is stable.

  15. Step 15

    Make any necessary final adjustments to ensure the bed frame is level and secure.

  16. Step 16

    The IKEA NARRÖN upholstered bed frame is now assembled and ready for use.
