BLÅKULLEN Bed Frame Assembly Instructions

This document provides step-by-step instructions for assembling the IKEA BLÅKULLEN bed frame.

Important Information

Please follow these guidelines during assembly:

Avoid using a hammer directly on wooden components (❌).
Assemble components on a soft surface, like a rug, to prevent damage (✔️).
If you encounter difficulties or have questions, contact IKEA customer support.

Assembly Steps

Step 1

Insert the vertical posts into the side rails. Secure using Connector Brackets (Part 10050800, 2x) and Rods (Part 130445, 2x).

Step 2

Attach the side rails to the headboard/footboard posts. Use Screws (Part 128574, 2x) and Washers (Part 130445, 2x).

Step 3

Repeat Step 1 for the other side rail.

Step 4

Repeat Step 2 for the other side rail.

Step 5

Attach the central support bar to the side rails. Use Screws (Part 106918, 2x) and Washers (Part 130445, 2x).

Step 6

Connect the upper vertical posts. Use Corner Brackets (Part 191315, 2x) and Screws (Part 112091, 2x). Exercise caution (⚠️) when joining parts.

Step 7

Attach the headboard panels to the vertical posts. Use Screws (Part 128574, 2x).

Step 8

Attach the Corner Brackets (Part 191315, 4x) to the frame corners using Screws (Part 105107, 4x).

Step 9

Slide the slatted bed base supports into the designated channels on the frame.

Step 10

Secure the slatted bed base supports. Use Screws (Part 128574, 6x) and Washers (Part 130445, 6x).

Step 11

Attach the side panels or headboard extensions. Use Screws (Part 150450, 4x), Screws (Part 110301, 4x), and Washers (Part 130445, 4x).

Step 12

Attach further extensions or components. Use Screws (Part 112091, 5x) and Washers (Part 130445, 5x).

Step 13

Perform final securing of components. Use Screw (Part 10073055, 1x).

Step 14

Attach the headboard panels to the frame.

Step 15

Secure the headboard panels. Use Screws (Part 128574, 6x) and Washers (Part 130445, 6x).

Step 16

Attach side panels or additional components. Use Screws (Part 112091, 4x) and Washers (Part 130445, 4x).

Step 17

Secure the bed base or related components. Use Washers (Part 130445, 8x).

Step 18

Perform final securing of components. Use Washers (Part 130445, 12x).

Step 19

Place the slatted bed base onto the assembled frame.
