LED Strip Light Installation Instruction

PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY AND SAVE THEM. AS YOU MAY NEED THEM AT A LATER DATE.

WARNING: Failure to install and wire fixture in accordance with the National Electrical Codes (NEC), all applicable Federal, State and Local electrical codes, as well as specific ETL safety standards for the intended working environment (location/application), may cause serious personal injury, death and/or property damage. This product must be installed by a person familiar with the construction and operation of the product and the hazards involved.

CAUTION: TURN OFF POWER FROM THE MAIN CIRCUIT BEFORE INSTALLING FIXTURE. Make sure fixture is grounded per National Electrical Codes (NEC).

IMPORTANT NOTE: The safeguards and instructions appearing on this page, are not meant to cover all possible conditions and situations that may occur. It may be understood that common sense, cautions, and care are factors which cannot be built into any product. The person(s) installing, operating and responsible for the light fixture, must execute these factors.

WARNING: Risk of fire and electrical shock. Most dwellings built before 1985 have supply wires rated 60°C. Consult a qualified electrician before installing. If supply wires are located within 3 inches of the drivers, use wires rated at least 90°C.

SETTING (HT40V-I)

By selecting the combination on the DIP switch, sensor data can be precisely set for each specific application.

Detection area

Detection area can be reduced by selecting the combination on the DIP switches to fit precisely each application.

Hold time

Refers to the time period the lamp remains at 100% illumination after no motion detected.

Daylight sensor

The sensor can be set to only allow the lamp to illuminate below a defined ambient brightness threshold. When set to Disable mode, the daylight sensor will switch on the lamp when motion is detected regardless of ambient light level. 100lux, 100lux, 50lux: twilight operation, 10lux, 2lux: darkness operation only. Note that daylight sensor is active only when lamp totally switches off.

Stand-by period

Refers to the time period the lamp remains at a low light level before it completely switches off in the long absence of people. When set to Disable mode, the low light is maintained until motion is detected.

Stand-by dimming level

The low light level you would like to have after the hold time in the long absence of people.

Sensor Selection

Microwave induction on and off.

Diagram Descriptions

Installation Diagram

This diagram illustrates the basic installation setup for the LED strip light. It shows the fixture's housing channel and cover. Electrical connections are indicated: a 'Hot' terminal connected to a black wire, a 'Neutral' terminal connected to a white wire, and a 'Ground' terminal connected to a green wire (labeled P2). A 'Connector' is shown where wires enter the fixture. A 'Lens' covers the LED module.

Wiring Diagram with Sensor

This diagram details the wiring for a sensor-equipped fixture. It shows a 'Driver' unit connected to a 'Sensor' and an 'LED Module'. The connections include: Line (L) and Neutral (N) from the power source, Dim+ (Purple wire) and Dim- (Grey wire) for dimming control, and Ground Wire. A 'Luminaire Disconnect' is present for safe disconnection. The power source is specified as 120V~277V SERVICE. Wire connectors are used for connections.

0-10V Dimming Wiring Diagram

This diagram illustrates the wiring for 0-10V dimming. It shows a 'Driver' unit connected to an 'LED Module'. The connections are similar to the sensor diagram: Line (L) and Neutral (N) from the power source, Dim+ (Purple wire) and Dim- (Grey wire) for dimming control, and Ground Wire. It also explicitly shows the 1-10V dimming connections (V-, V+) from the driver. A 'Luminaire Disconnect' and 120V~277V SERVICE connection are also depicted.

Wiring Diagram with Emergency Battery

This diagram outlines the wiring for a system including an emergency battery backup. It shows connections for AC-L (Live) and AC-N (Neutral) power input, a 'Switch', a 'LED DRIVER', and a 'DIMMER' (to be purchased separately). The 'EMERGENCY LED DRIVER WITH BATTERY' is connected to the main driver and has its own power input (EM "L"). The LED Array is connected to the driver's LED+ and LED- outputs. An 'INDICATOR LIGHT' and 'TEST SWITCH' are also shown for the emergency driver.

ASSEMBLY AND INSTALLATION

Turn Off Power From The Main Circuit Before Installing Fixture.

  1. To help prevent the possibility of electrical shock, the use for rubber sole shoes is recommended.
  2. Exercise care, use work gloves when handling the fixture to avoid cuts or abrasions.
  3. Press channel and remove channel cover. Inside you will find quick connector that link with driver and module, remove the connector before installation.
  4. Install fixture: Locate ceiling joints and screw in fixtures using wood screws of appropriate length (screws not included). Use toggle bolts for drywall mounting.
  5. Electrical Connections: Connect green/or bare copper wire to the green ground wire of fixture. (Ground wire must be properly attached.).
  6. If quick connector not provided:
    • Connect white supply wire to the white fixture wire, cover them with a wire nut/or twist together and cover well with Electrical tape.
    • Connect the black supplier wire to the black fixture wire, cover them with a wire nut/or twist together and cover well with Electrical tape.
