The Armatura EP20 series offers intelligent, multi-technology RFID readers designed for advanced security and resilience in outdoor environments. These compact readers are compatible with over 100 types of RFID credentials and feature a touch keypad and QR code scanner.

Mobile Credential Capability
The Armatura ID mobile application provides a consistent user experience across iOS and Android platforms. Users can present their smartphone to the reader or scan a QR code ? for access. Enhanced security is available through phone Face ID and Touch ID features. Support for NFC (Android only) and Bluetooth expands mobile access to nearly all smartphone users.
Mobile Identification Modes:
- Card Mode: Present your smartphone to the reader like an access card.
- Remote Mode: Authenticate via a button click in the Armatura ID app.
- QR Code Mode: Present your QR code ? for access.
- Express Mode: Activated and paired with the reader for fully automated door access.

Compact Design
Compatible with simple mounting boxes, including European and Asian styles, fitting most interior designs. Optional touch keypad for password authentication and an integrated QR code scanner ? for static/dynamic QR codes.
Enhanced Security
Supports Open Supervised Device Protocol (OSDP ?) for secure communication between readers and control panels. Features AES-128 end-to-end encryption for RS-485 communication and AES256 encryption for mobile communication (NFC/Bluetooth). Secure data storage is provided by EAL6+ certified cryptographic chips.
Ultimate Protection
IP68 Rating: Certified resistance to water and dust ?, allowing operation in harsh environments. The readers can withstand immersion in water up to 3.3 feet (1.5 meters) for thirty minutes.
IK10 Vandal Resistance: Certified vandal resistance ? protects against malicious physical attacks.
UL94-V0 Flame Retardancy: Housing materials comply with UL94-V0 standards ?, ensuring combustion does not sustain for more than 10 seconds after a controlled flame is applied.
Environmental Resilience: Designed to operate in extreme temperatures from -22°F to 158°F (-30°C to 70°C) and resistant to UV degradation.
