NOTE: Touch and keyboard functions are not available when connecting to game devices.

To enable keyboard and touch functionality when using the Mini HDMI port, a USB A-C cable must be connected from the laptop to the lapdock's Type-C OTG port.

Note: If your device's Type-C port is not full-featured, or if it's a micro USB or Lightning port, you may need an adapter. Contact customer support for assistance.

Note: If an adapter is used to connect the monitor to other devices, touch and keyboard functions may not work. Connecting to the OTG port can enable keyboard functionality for some devices.

  • 3D Sound Effects: Adjusts sound profiles.

Save Settings

To save your monitor settings:

  1. If using an HDMI signal source, monitor settings are saved automatically.
  2. If using a Type-C signal source, the monitor needs to be connected to an external power supply (via the PD port) before you can save the settings. This ensures settings are retained after power cycles.

Chapter 06 Q&A

Q: The monitor keeps switching and flickering, although it is connected to an outlet for extra power supply.

A: This is often caused by insufficient voltage. Please check if the factory-packed cables are used and if an external PD power supply is connected. The power consumption of a 4K monitor is higher, requiring an adequate external PD power supply.

Q: Can we supply energy from a power bank without using a self-power adapter?

A: This depends on the power bank's output. The monitor requires at least 15W power supply. If your power bank outputs only 10W, it may not provide enough energy. The provided power adapter is 30W, so a power bank with an output above 30W is recommended.

Q: Is it possible to set the default contrast? I have to adjust it each time from 10% to 70% when connecting to my Macbook Pro laptop.

A: Settings like brightness and volume are saved automatically when using the HDMI port with PD power. However, when using the Type-C port without external power, these settings may reset after the monitor powers off. This is a design to prevent issues with devices that cannot supply sufficient power for high brightness settings. To ensure settings are retained, connect the monitor to an external power supply via the PD port and do not cut off the power. This behavior is common in portable monitors.

Q: Does the monitor support Free Sync function?

A: Yes, it does. This feature requires the monitor to be in "Game Mode". Please refer to the "Introduction to OSD" section in this manual and set the display to "Game" mode.

Q: The output resolution of the monitor is less than 4k 60hz, what is the reason?

A: 1. Check the display settings on your device and adjust the resolution to 4K. 2. Connect to another device and verify its output resolution is 4K. 3. If the resolution cannot be adjusted, check if your device's graphics card supports 4K. If not, the monitor's output resolution will be limited. 4. If these steps do not resolve the issue, please contact our professional team for assistance.

Q: The power indicator is on, but the screen is black or the screen is fixed.

A: 1. Use the factory-packed cables. 2. Check for video signal transmission. 3. Ensure the monitor is not in a default extended mode; try changing to duplicated or mirror mode. 4. If possible, try connecting to another device. 5. If the problem persists, please contact our professional team for assistance.

Q: Touchscreen isn't responsive or not working.

A: For mobile phones:

  • If the touchscreen is not working when connected to a mobile phone supporting USB3.1, please contact us to upgrade the display program.
  • If the phone does not support USB3.1, the touchscreen may be unresponsive. Verify your phone model supports USB3.1.

For game devices (Nintendo, XBOX, PS4, etc.): The touch function is typically unresponsive.

For Computer/Micro-host: Please check the connection, ensuring the genuine cable is used. Incorrect connections can cause touch-function issues. [Image: Comparison of correct vs. incorrect cable connections for touch functionality.] If the connection is correct and touch is still unresponsive, try another computer. If the issue persists, please contact us for a replacement touch cable.
