Instructions for Use
Before Using the Window Cleaning Vacuum
- Before using the Window Cleaning Vacuum for the first time, wipe the main body and squeegee vacuum head with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
- Do not immerse the Window Cleaning Vacuum in water or any other liquid.
- Check that the squeegee vacuum head is free from any debris (e.g. hair), as this could ruin the streak-free finish or damage the surface of the glass.
Assembling the Window Cleaning Vacuum
- Attach the squeegee vacuum head by inserting it onto the top of the Window Cleaning Vacuum main body, until it locks into position. The screws on the underside of the squeegee vacuum head should be facing downwards.
- Check that the water tank is secure, with the water tank plug firmly in position. Failure to do so will result in water leaking from the main body, which could result in damage to the Window Cleaning Vacuum or injury to the user.
The squeegee vacuum head will only clip onto the Window Cleaning Vacuum main body one way. The water tank and the main body of the Window Cleaning Vacuum will come assembled but can be dismantled for cleaning following the instructions in the section entitled 'Care and Maintenance'.
Charging the Window Cleaning Vacuum
Before first use, the Window Cleaning Vacuum must be charged fully. This will take approx. 3–4 hours.
- Connect the lead from the mains power adapter to the charging port on the Window Cleaning Vacuum.
- Plug the mains power adaptor into the mains power supply; the indicator light will flash to confirm that the battery is charging. Once the battery is fully charged, the indicator light will illuminate fully.
Whilst charging, the Window Cleaning Vacuum may become warm.
Caution: Exercise caution when charging the Window Cleaning Vacuum; stand it upright on a dry, stable surface away from other appliances.
Warning: Do not leave the Window Cleaning Vacuum unattended whilst it is charging. In the case of abnormal operation (e.g. it begins to emit smoke), switch off and unplug the Window Cleaning Vacuum from the mains power supply immediately. Do not use any mains power adaptor other than that supplied, as this could cause a hazard.
Using the Window Cleaning Vacuum
- Switch off and unplug the Window Cleaning Vacuum from the mains power supply and then disconnect the mains power adaptor from the Window Cleaning Vacuum main body.
- Dilute some window cleaning concentrate following the manufacturer's instructions, apply to the window and loosen the dirt using the spray bottle and microfibre wipe pad.
- To turn on the Window Cleaning Vacuum, press the power button.
- Place the squeegee vacuum head against the window surface in a vertical position.
- Clean the window from the top to bottom using long, straight, downward movements. This will avoid leaving drip marks or smears, and will leave the window with a streak-free finish.
- The Window Cleaning Vacuum can now be used to remove any excess water which remains on the window surface. Whilst switched on, hold the Window Cleaning Vacuum vertically where the excess water has collected and allow it to suck up the liquid.
- Turn off the Window Cleaning Vacuum by pressing the power button.
Check that the water tank plug is securely fitted to avoid leakage from the water tank.
Warning: Do not use the Window Cleaning Vacuum to pick up anything other than water or diluted window cleaning concentrate. It is recommended to use conventional window cleaning concentrate as opposed to spirit or foam detergents as these can damage the Window Cleaning Vacuum and could result in injury to the user. Window cleaning concentrate is available at most leading retailers.
Emptying the Water Tank
- Switch off and unplug the Window Cleaning Vacuum from the mains power supply.
- Remove the water tank by pressing the water tank release button and then pulling it out and away from the Window Cleaning Vacuum main body.
- Unplug the water tank plug from the front of the water tank and tilt to drain away the water.
- Reattach the water tank plug and then reinsert the water tank into the Window Cleaning Vacuum main body, until it clicks into position. Always check that the water tank plug is secured back into position after emptying the water tank.
The water tank should be emptied after each use.
Warning: Do not allow the water tank to fill beyond the 200 ml Max. fill level as this could cause water to leak from the unit.
Storage
Empty the water tank and check that the Window Cleaning Vacuum is cool, clean and dry before storing in a cool, dry place.
If the battery is exhausted, it is recommended to charge the Window Cleaning Vacuum slightly before storage. This will help to prolong the life of the battery. The Window Cleaning Vacuum may need to be recharged after storage, before the next use.
