- Disconnect the device when fully charged to prevent unnecessary energy consumption. Use an accessible power outlet.

Overview: Charging Case & Earbuds
Charging Case: Features a charging port, UVnano LED, Plug and Wireless Switch, and a mood light that activates when the cover is opened.
Earbuds: Each earbud includes UVnano LED (in the case), charging terminals, a battery status indicator, a UVnano indicator, a microphone, a speaker mesh, and a touchpad.
*Ensure charging terminals are clean. Product appearance and specifications may vary by model.
Pairing and Connecting
Fast Pair
This feature simplifies connecting to Android devices (6.0+ with Bluetooth and location services enabled).
- Turn on Bluetooth on your mobile phone or device.
- Open the charging case cover with earbuds inside. Press and hold the touchpad on either earbud for 3-5 seconds until the battery status indicator blinks blue.
- When the Fast Pair connection pop-up appears on your phone, tap it to connect.
- If the pop-up doesn't appear, manually select "[LG-TONE-FP9]" from your mobile phone's Bluetooth menu (for iOS or older Android versions).
⚠️ CAUTION: When connecting via Bluetooth, ensure you select "LG-TONE-FP9", not "LG-TONE-FP9_LE".
? NOTE: To connect to another device, repeat the pairing procedure.
Automatic Reconnection
The earbuds automatically reconnect when the charging case cover is opened. They disconnect when the case cover is closed with both earbuds inside.
Wearing Earbuds
- Separate the earbuds from the charging case and adjust them for a comfortable fit in your ears.
- You will hear a wearing detection alarm when the earbuds are properly worn.
? NOTE: Using ear gels that fit your ears can improve Active Noise Canceling (ANC) performance and music sound quality.

Listen to Ambient Sound (LAS) / Active Noise Cancellation (ANC)
Listen to the Ambient Sound (LAS): Allows you to hear surrounding sounds to stay aware of your environment and potential risks.
Active Noise Cancellation (ANC): Blocks most ambient sounds, enabling focused listening to music or videos with minimal interference.
You can switch between ANC and LAS modes by touching and holding either earbud. These functions can also be configured in the LG TONE Free app, where you can also set up Conversation mode.
Using LAS or ANC functions consumes battery faster, reducing usage time.
These functions can be used while idle, listening to music, or on a call.
*ANC is an acronym for Active Noise Cancellation.
⚠️ CAUTION: In LAS mode, ambient sound may suddenly become loud. When using ANC outdoors, be mindful of your surroundings for safety.
UVnano Charging
The charging case features a UVnano LED to keep your earbuds clean. When earbuds are charged in the case with the cover closed, the UVnano LED operates for 5 minutes.
*UVnano is a combination of UV and nanometer.
? NOTE: The UVnano indicator glows blue while the UVnano LED is active. The UVnano charging case eliminates up to 99.9% of harmful bacteria from the earbud holes. White products may show slight discoloration in the UVnano LED contact area, which does not affect functionality.
⚠️ CAUTION: Earbud temperature may rise while the UVnano LED is on.
Charging
Wired Charging
Connect the charging cable to the charging case. The charging status is displayed on the case. Both earbuds and the charging case charge simultaneously. The charging port on the case cannot be used to power other devices.
Plug and Wireless (External Device Connection Mode)
Connect the charging case to external audio devices like airplane stereo systems, treadmills, cassette players, radios, or TVs to listen via your earbuds.
- Push the Plug and Wireless switch on the charging case to the right to activate the mode. The battery status indicator will flash blue three times.
- Open the charging case cover to connect the case to the earbuds. The battery status indicator will turn blue for 3 seconds and then turn off once connected.
- Connect the USB Type-C™ end of the USB C to AUX cable to the charging case.
- Connect the AUX end of the cable to your desired audio device.
? NOTE: Deactivate Plug and Wireless mode to reconnect the earbuds to a previously paired Bluetooth device.
Checking the Battery Status
The battery status displayed depends on whether the earbuds are in the charging case. If earbuds are in the case and plugged in, the UVnano process runs for 5 minutes before the case battery status is shown.

? NOTE: When the charging case lid is closed, the case's battery status is displayed. If the case has no charge, it cannot function. It is recommended to keep the charging case charged at all times, as earbuds cannot be turned on/off independently.

Connectivity
Out of Range
If the connected device is out of the effective communication range, the signal weakens and connection is lost. The effective range can vary based on surroundings.
The product automatically reconnects when the device returns within range. If automatic reconnection fails, touch either earbud once to reconnect.
LG TONE Free App
Install the "LG TONE Free" app to access features like checking earbud battery, voice alerts, equalizer modes, last connected location, and finding your earbuds.
To install, search for "LG TONE Free" on the Google Play Store or App Store, or scan the provided QR codes.
Compatibility: Android 7.0 or higher, iOS 11 or higher.

If you encounter issues, recheck the following. Some symptoms may not indicate a malfunction.

Important Safety Information
Avoiding Hearing Damage
Using the headset at high volumes can cause permanent hearing loss. Set the volume to a safe level. If you experience ringing in your ears or muffled speech, stop use and have your hearing checked.
