Connecting with Bluetooth for Use
Connecting the Smartphone to Earbuds via Bluetooth
- Turn on the Bluetooth function of your smartphone or device.
- Open the charging case with the earbuds attached. The blue battery status indicator blinks. If it does not blink, or to connect a different device, touch and hold the touch pad of either earbud for 3-5 seconds.
- When the Fast Pair connection pop-up appears on your smartphone, touch it to connect. (Requires Android 6.0 or higher, with Bluetooth and location settings enabled.)
- If the pop-up does not appear, select and connect [TONE-T90S] from your smartphone's Bluetooth menu. (For iOS or Android 5.0 or lower)
Note: To connect with another device, repeat these procedures.
Troubleshooting connection: If the earbuds model name displays abnormally on an Android device, change the model name in the device's Bluetooth settings.
Multiple Connections
The LG TONE Free app allows connection and use of two devices simultaneously (e.g., smartphone and PC).
- Activate Multi-Point & Multi-Pairing in the LG TONE Free app.
- Place earbuds in the charging case and follow the connection procedures.
- The existing connected device becomes the “main connection device,” and the newly connected device becomes the “auxiliary connection device.”
- Multi-connection can be managed more conveniently in the detailed Multi-Point & Multi-Pairing settings within the app.
- Audio playback will be from the device that was used last. (In Plug & Wireless mode with a USB-C™ to AUX cable, audio switches to the external device connected to the charging case if the main connection device is not playing or in a call.)
Note:
- When two devices are connected, the main function operates based on the “main connection device.”
- In some media players, audio may not switch automatically when content is played.
Automatic Reconnection
Opening the charging case automatically connects the earbuds to the last connected device. If the device is not found, it enters connectable mode.
If automatic reconnection fails, search for the earbuds on the device and connect manually.
Listening to Sound with Earbuds
Wearing Earbuds
- Remove the earbuds from the charging case by bending the inside outwards, then wear them snugly in your ears.
Note: Using an ear gel that fits your ears improves Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) performance and provides richer sound quality.
- Properly worn earbuds will produce a notification sound.
* To replace the ear gel: Align the ear gel's hole with the earbud's protrusion and fasten. Ensure the multi-function foam is securely inserted into the inner part of the ear gel.

Caution: When ambient sound mode is active, loud ambient sounds may be heard suddenly. Exercise caution for safety when using ANC outdoors.
Charging
Charging by Wire
Connect the USB Type-C™ Charging and Data cable. The charging status will be displayed on the charging case.
Note:
- The earbuds and charging case charge simultaneously.

Safety Information
Prevention of Hearing Loss
Listening at high volumes can cause permanent hearing loss. Set the volume to a safe level. Even if it sounds normal, prolonged exposure to high-pitch sounds can damage your hearing over time. If you experience ringing in your ears or muffled hearing, stop listening and get a hearing test. Higher volume levels cause faster hearing damage.
Protecting Your Hearing:
- Limit the time you use the headset at high volumes.
- Avoid turning up the volume to drown out surrounding noise.
- If you cannot hear people nearby, lower the volume.
- Refer to your connection device's user manual for setting the maximum volume limit.

- Using Bluetooth devices (TVs, laptops, etc.) other than mobile phones may affect sound quality based on their specifications and performance.
Battery Information
Rechargeable batteries have a long service life when properly maintained. New batteries or batteries not used for a long time may have reduced capacity initially. Avoid extreme temperatures: do not expose the battery to temperatures above +50°C or below -10°C. For maximum capacity, use the battery at room temperature. Battery capacity decreases in low temperatures. Charging is optimal between 0°C and +45°C.
