Unboxing and Initial Setup
Unpack the TV and Accessories
Carefully remove the TV from its packaging. Ensure all accessories are present:
- Remote Control (AA batteries x2)
- Screws (M5 x L30) x6
- Cable Management clips
Do not use sharp objects to open the box. Do not place the TV face down on a hard surface without protection. Do not lift the TV by the screen.
Cable Management
Organize cables using the provided cable management clips to keep them tidy and secure.
TV Placement
Position the TV on a stable surface or prepare for wall mounting. Ensure adequate space around the TV for ventilation.
Stand Assembly (for 70UP77* and 75UP77* models)
Lay the TV face down on a soft, flat surface (e.g., a blanket or foam) to protect the screen.
Attach the stand components to the TV using the provided screws. Ensure they are securely fastened.
Carefully lift the TV upright and place it in its desired location.
Wall Mount Preparation
4-A: For 70UP77* Models
Remove the screws from the back of the TV where the wall mount bracket will be attached.
Attach the wall mount bracket (not included) to the TV using appropriate screws, ensuring it is securely fastened.
4-B: For 75UP77* Models
Remove the screws from the back of the TV where the wall mount bracket will be attached.
Attach the wall mount bracket (not included) to the TV using appropriate screws, ensuring it is securely fastened.
Cable Management for Wall Mounted TVs
5-A: For 70UP77* Models
Route cables neatly along the back of the TV and through the designated cable management areas.
5-B: For 75UP77* Models
Route cables neatly along the back of the TV and through the designated cable management areas, utilizing the specific design for larger models.
Connectivity
The LG UP77* series TVs offer various input and output ports:
- OPTICAL DIGITAL AUDIO OUT: For connecting to external audio systems.
- LAN: For wired network connection.
- ANTENNA/CABLE IN: For connecting an antenna or cable TV.
- SATELLITE IN: For connecting a satellite dish.
- HDMI IN (multiple ports): For connecting devices like Blu-ray players, game consoles, or set-top boxes. One HDMI port supports eARC/ARC for enhanced audio return channel functionality.
- COMMON INTERFACE: For inserting a CI module (e.g., for pay TV services).
- USB IN: For connecting USB storage devices.
Remote Control and Power
- Insert two AA batteries into the remote control, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- The TV operates on AC 100-240 V~50/60 Hz power.
