Quick Connect Guide
Step 1: Download App
Download the 'Tuya Smart' app from your app store. You can find the app by searching or by scanning the provided QR code [QR code for app download]. You can only connect when you have Wi-Fi.
Step 2: Add Device
Install and register within the app. On the main page, tap 'Add Device'.
Step 3: Connect Device
Press and hold the network connection button on the device for 1 second. A buzzer will sound, and the Wi-Fi indicator light will flash rapidly. Wait approximately 5 seconds for the mobile app to detect the smart litter box, then tap 'Add'.
Step 4: Complete Binding
Follow the on-screen prompts within the app to finalize the device connection.
Connection Troubleshooting
Common Issues & Solutions
- Verify that your Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password are correct. Try restarting your phone and router, then attempt to rebind the device.
- This device exclusively supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks. If your router is configured for 5GHz only, please adjust your router settings to enable 2.4GHz or a dual-band network.
- Ensure the device is placed closer to your Wi-Fi router. Power cycle the device (unplug and plug back in), and try reconnecting using your phone.
Important Notes
- After adding cat litter, the unit requires a reset. This can be initiated via the app or by manually power cycling the device (unplugging and plugging it back in).
- This smart cat litter box is designed for cats weighing 2KG (approximately 4.4 lbs) or more. The recommended maximum weight capacity is 15KG (approximately 33 lbs).
Indicator Light Status
- Standby: Always on standby.
- Clean: Always on clean; flickering indicates cleaning is paused.
- Empty: Always on empty; flickering indicates emptying is paused.
- Abnormal: Always on abnormal; indicates drawer not reset or no reset.
- Wi-Fi: Always on indicates connection; fast flickering indicates configuration mode.
- Reset: Always on reset; flickering indicates reset pause.
- Auto: Always on auto mode.
- Manual: Always on manual mode.
Button Functions
Child Lock
To unlock the child lock, simultaneously press and hold the 'Emptying' and 'Network Settings' buttons for 3 seconds. A beep will confirm the unlock.
Device Operations
- Clean Button: Press for 1 second. A 'di' sound will play, and the cleaning indicator will illuminate. Release the button.
- Empty Button: Press and hold for 3 seconds. A 'di' sound will play, and the empty indicator will illuminate. Release to initiate emptying.
- Network Settings Button: Press for 1 second. A 'di' sound will play, and the Wi-Fi indicator will flash rapidly, indicating it is ready for configuration.
- Mode Switch: Press any button for 1 second. A 'di' sound will play, switching the device to another operational mode.
