Product Overview

The Fiamma Carry-Bike CL is a universal, short-version bicycle carrier designed for motorhomes with flat rear walls. It is supplied as standard for transporting 2 bicycles and can be upgraded to carry up to 3 bikes by adding specific accessories (Bike-Block system and Rail Quick/Premium rails). The maximum load capacity is 55 kg.

Installation Instructions

Before you begin:

• Inspect all parts for damage incurred during transport. Contact your dealer if any parts are damaged or deformed.
• Read the entire manual carefully before installation and keep it for future reference.
• Step 1: Vehicle Wall Mounting Points
• Identify reinforced points on the vehicle's rear wall for secure bracket attachment. Ensure a minimum distance of 40 cm and a maximum of 50 cm between mounting points, with a typical spacing of 60 cm. Use silicone sealant for protection.
• Step 2: Frame Assembly
• Assemble the main frame components (B, C, D) using the provided screws and nuts (e.g., P, N, X, O).
• Step 3: Attaching Frame to Vehicle
• Attach the assembled frame to the vehicle wall using brackets (K, F, R, S) and screws/nuts (e.g., M6x50, M6, M6x45, M6x55, Q, Y, T, U, V, W, X). Ensure secure fastening.
• Step 4: Rail Attachment (Refer to diagram on page 5)
• Attach the rails to the frame using appropriate components (e.g., L, Q, Y).
• Step 5: Securing Rails and Forks
• Attach the upper rails and support arms (U, E, A). WARNING: Do not fully tighten the fork to the tube; leave a 2 mm space.
• Step 6: Bike Support Assembly
• Assemble and attach the bike support components (H, I, E, A, B, C, D, F).
• Step 7: Final Assembly
• Complete the assembly using the remaining parts (I, A, B, C, D, E, F).
• Step 8: Securing the Rack and Load
• Secure the rack using the strap (G).

Safety Warnings and Load Capacity

Maximum Load:

• Maximum load per rail: 6.5 kg
• Total maximum load: 60 kg
• Important: The total load must be distributed evenly over the rails. For example, a 60 kg load means 15 kg per rail.

Driving Conditions:

• ⚠️ Observe maximum angles: 30° (left/right), 15° (up/down).
• ?? Recommended maximum speed: 90 km/h. Reduce speed in adverse conditions (hairpin bends, wind gusts, dangerous roads, garage entrances).
• ?️ Additional rear-view mirrors may be required for reduced visibility.
• Be aware that increased load can increase braking distance. Check before departure.
• The installation of the carrier on the rear axle can alter the vehicle's weight distribution. Ensure this does not exceed the maximum permitted load per axle (refer to vehicle registration document).
• Never exceed the vehicle's maximum permitted length and total weight when fully loaded.
• Do not cover the vehicle's number plate or lights. If the carrier obstructs them, use a trailer board to repeat the lights and plate signals.

Usage and Maintenance

• Mounting: Before installation, clean the mounting area thoroughly and use rubber protectors to prevent friction and damage to the vehicle's body/paint. Periodically check rubber parts and replace if porous or worn.
• Bracket Placement: Ensure support brackets are positioned securely, cannot move sideways, and do not touch the vehicle's roof, hinges, bolts, or screws.
• Periodic Checks: Regularly check the bicycle carrier's attachment, especially within the first 10 km after installation and before/after each long journey. Ensure belts are not loose and holding brackets have not shifted.
• Bike Securing: Bicycles must be secured with two Quick-Safe devices (one per wheel) and a Security Strip on the frame. Periodically check both Quick-Safe and Security Strip for damage and replace immediately if necessary.
• Load Distribution: Distribute the load evenly. Place the heaviest bikes closest to the vehicle wall for greater stability.
• Detachable Parts: Detachable items like child seats, bags, or air compressors must be uncoupled and stowed inside the vehicle.
• Storage: If the carrier is not used for extended periods, it is recommended to remove it from the vehicle.
• Anti-theft: For added security, a steel cable anti-theft device is recommended.
• Clearance: Ensure sufficient distance between handlebars/pedals and the vehicle wall to avoid paint damage.

Troubleshooting and Environmental Information

Problems: If you encounter issues, please quote the serial number (FP: 999999, S/N: N 2000001, M00) when contacting Fiamma or your dealer.

Environmental Protection:

• Packaging material is 100% recyclable. Dispose of packaging materials according to local regulations, not with household waste.

Warranty Information

In case of defects related to materials and manufacturing, the customer is entitled to warranty service in accordance with local laws and regulations of the country where the product was purchased. Conditions for recourse must be met.
