This document provides instructions for the MoesGo WiFi Smart Remote IR Controller, a device designed to control infrared-based home appliances through your WiFi network. It offers compatibility with voice assistants like Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant for enhanced convenience.
Preparation for Use
Download MOES App
To begin, download the MOES App from your device's app store or scan the provided QR code. The Moes application is highly recommended for its compatibility and features compared to other smart home applications.

Device Overview
The MoesGo WiFi Smart Remote IR Controller is a compact device with the following key features:
- Reset Button: Used for resetting the device.
- Power Outlet: Connection point for power.
- Network Configuration Indicator: Shows the status of the network connection.
Add Device
Method One: Scan QR Code
- Scan the QR code to configure the network guide. [QR code for network configuration]
- Follow the on-screen prompts within the MOES app. Screenshots show the 'Welcome Zone', 'All Devices', and 'Add Device' interfaces, guiding the user through the process.
Method Two: Manual Setup
- Ensure your phone is connected to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
- Reset: Press and hold the reset button for at least 5 seconds until the network configuration indicator blinks.
- Open the MOES App. The prompt page should appear automatically. Click 'Add', then select the device you want to add and click '+'. [Screenshot of the MOES app showing the 'Add Device' screen with a '+' icon.]
- Enter your Wi-Fi password and click 'Next'. Wait for the connection to complete. Once the device is successfully added, you can edit its name by clicking 'Done' on the device page. [Screenshot of the Wi-Fi password entry screen and the device configuration success screen.]

Add Remote Control
Choose Appliance and Add Remote
Select your existing appliance and add its remote control. This includes Air conditioners, TVs, STBs, TV boxes, and FANs, supporting over 4000 main brands.
Copy Button Operation
If you cannot find a remote for your appliance, you can learn its functions using the copy button feature. (Note: This function currently supports TV, STB, TV BOX, and FAN, but excludes Air conditioners).
- Click to enter the connected device.
- Click the edit button in the upper right corner.
- Select 'Copy button' from the popup menu.
- Click the on/off button.
- Press your original remote button; the APP will redirect to the next step automatically.
- After copying one button, press the corresponding button on the APP to check if it works fine.
DIY OPERATION
If your IR appliance is not found in the existing appliance list, you can use the DIY function.
- Click the DIY button.
- Click 'next step'.
- Press your original remote button; the APP will redirect to the next step automatically.
You can continuously copy more buttons or press 'Done' in the upper right corner to save.
Important Notes for Learning:
- The system supports learning of 38K carrier frequency. If instructions are not received from the original remote, it may be due to a carrier frequency mismatch.
- Ensure the MoesGo SMART IR receives instructions regularly. Avoid long-pressing the original remote; a short press should suffice.
Voice Control Setup
Set your Echo speaker by Alexa APP
- If you have installed MOES, open the Amazon Alexa App, sign in to your Alexa account, and enter your password.
- Click the menu on the left corner, then click 'Settings', and choose 'Set up a new device' (select 'Echo' as the device type).
- Note: When the following page appears, long-press the small dot on your Echo device until the light turns yellow. Then, click 'Continue' on the App.
- Note: At this moment, the mobile phone cannot open a variety of VPN software.
Enable MOES Skill in Alexa App
- Choose 'Skill' in the option bar, and then search for 'MOES' in the input box. [Screenshot of the Alexa app skills section, showing a search bar and results.]
- Select MOES from the search results and click 'Enable Skill'.
- Enter the username and password of your MOES APP account that you previously registered.
Control the device by voice (Alexa)
After successful setup, you can control devices via Echo.
1: Discover Device
Say to your Echo: 'Echo (or Alexa), discover my devices.' Echo will search for devices added in the MOES APP. This process takes about 20 seconds, after which Echo will announce the results. You can also click 'Discover devices' in the Alexa APP to see the found devices.
Note: 'Echo' is one of the wake-up names; you can also use 'Alexa' or 'Amazon'.
2: Control Device by Voice
Note: The device name must match the name used during MOES setup. You can group devices for simultaneous control.
3: Support Skill List
You can control devices using commands such as: 'Alexa (or Echo), turn on the [device name].' or 'Alexa (or Echo), turn off the [device name].'

Google Assistant – Activate Smart Life in Google Home App
Preparation
- Have downloaded the Google Home App (compatible with Android 4.2+ or iOS 8.0+ smartphones or tablets).
- Have registered your Google Account.
- Open the Google Home App; tap [Menu icon ☰] on the upper left corner; select 'More Settings' to enter the next interface. [Screenshots of Google Home app showing menu navigation to 'More Settings'.]
- Choose 'Services' in the options bar and select 'MOES' to enter the next interface. [Screenshot of Google Home app services list.]
- Tap 'MOES', then sign in your smart Life Account.
- Tap 'Link Now'. After your MOES account is linked to Google Assistant, the smart devices will automatically appear.
Command the Device through Your Voice (Google Assistant)
Firstly, say 'OK Google, talk to MOES' to wake up the MOES. Then you can control the device with commands like: 'Turn on the [device name]' / 'Turn off the [device name]'.
Note: After MOES is awakened, you can say 'Cancel' or 'Stop' to exit MOES, or say 'Nothing' when you hear 'What can I do for you?'. Then you can say 'OK Google, talk to MOES' to start voice control.

- Q: Built-in Battery included?
A: No built-in battery. Requires connection to power directly via USB Line only. - Q: 5G wifi supportable?
A: Only supports 2.4G wifi; 5G wifi is not acceptable. - Q: Is this IR universal works with internal code library?
A: The code library is cloud-based; you must connect to the internet. - Q: Appliance compatible?
A: Supports most major leading brands including TV, STB, AC, and DVD. - Q: Brand Applicable?

Troubleshooting Guide
Why MoesGo'S Smart Universal Remote can't control the appliance?
- Make sure the network is working well for the Smart IR. Touch any button on the smart app remote side; if the indicator light works fine, the network is okay.
- Check for obstacles between the remote and the appliance; the range is within 8 meters.
- Confirm if the original remote control uses Infrared (IR). Press the remote control after shielding its head with your hand or another object; if the appliance does not respond, it uses IR. If it doesn't work, it might use Bluetooth or radio frequency control.
Service
Thank you for your trust and support. MoesGo provides a two-year worry-free after-sales service (freight not included). Please do not alter this warranty service card to safeguard your rights. For service or questions, consult the distributor or contact MoesGo.
Product quality issues occurring within 24 months of receipt require the product and packaging for after-sales maintenance at the point of purchase. For damage due to personal reasons, a repair fee will be charged.
MoesGo reserves the right to refuse warranty service if:
- Products have damaged appearance, missing LOGO, or are beyond the service term.
- Products have been disassembled, injured, privately repaired, modified, or have missing parts.
- The circuit is burned, or the data cable or power interface is damaged.
- Products are damaged by foreign matter intrusion (e.g., fluids, sand, dust, soot).
Recycling Information
Products marked with the [WEEE symbol] for separate collection of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE Directive 2012/19 / EU) must be disposed of separately from unsorted municipal waste. To protect health and the environment, this equipment must be taken to designated collection points. Correct disposal and recycling help prevent negative environmental and health consequences. Contact your installer or local authority for information on collection points.
