Adding MoesGo Smart IR to Smart Life App

1. Download Smart Life APP: Download the "Smart Life" application.
2. Registration or Log In: Enter the Register/Login interface. Tap "[Register]" to create an account using your phone number to get a verification code and set a password. Choose "[Log in]" if you already have a Smart Life account.
3. Configure the APP to MoesGo Smart IR:
   • Preparation: Ensure the device is connected to electricity and your phone is connected to a Wi-Fi router (2.4GHz network only). Disconnect from 5GHz networks if necessary.
   • Tap the "[➕]" icon at the top right corner.
   • Select Device Type: Tap "[All]" and choose "[Infrared Universal Remote Control]".
   • On the Add Device interface, press and hold the reset button for at least 5 seconds until the network configuration indicator blinks.
   • Press "[Confirm indicator rapidly blink]".
   After successful device addition, it will appear on the "[My Family]" list.

Adding Remote Controls for Appliances

Choose your existing appliance (e.g., Air conditioner, TV, STB, TV box, FAN – supports over 4000+ brands) and add its remote control.

Copy Button Operation

If your appliance's remote is not found in the library, you can learn its functions using the copy button feature. (Note: This feature currently supports TV, STB, TV BOX, and FAN, but excludes Air conditioners.)

1. Click to enter the connected device.
2. Click the "[Edit]" button in the upper right corner.
3. Select "[Copy button]" from the popup menu.
4. Click the "[on/off button]" (or any button you wish to learn).
5. Press the corresponding button on your original remote control. The APP will automatically redirect to the next step.
6. Finish copying one button. Press the related button on the APP to check if it works correctly.

Note: You can continuously copy more buttons or press "[Done]" in the upper right corner to save settings.

DIY Operation

If you cannot find your IR appliance in the existing appliance list, you can use the DIY function.

Note: If you need to change or add more buttons, use the "[Edit]" button in the upper right corner.

Important Notes for DIY/Copy:

• Carrier Frequency: The device supports learning of 38K carrier frequency. If you cannot receive instructions from the original remote, it might be due to a mismatch in carrier frequency.
• Pressing Buttons: Ensure the MoesGo SMART IR receives instructions regularly. Please do not long-press the original remote; a short press should be sufficient.

1. Click the "[DIY button]".
2. Click "[next step]".
3. Press your original remote button; the APP will redirect to the next step automatically.

Integration with Amazon Alexa

1. Set up Echo Speaker: Open the Amazon Alexa App. Sign in to your Alexa account.
2. Navigate to the menu (left corner), click "[Settings]", then choose "[Set up a new device]" (select a device like Echo).
3. Echo Device Setup: When prompted, long-press the small dot on your Echo device until the light turns yellow. Then click "[Continue]" on the App. (Note: Ensure no VPN software is active on your phone during this process.)
4. Connect to your Wi-Fi. After an introduction video, click "[next step]". Your Echo should now be connected to Wi-Fi.
5. Enable Smart Life Skill:
   • In the Alexa App, choose "[Skill]" from the options bar.
   • Search for "SMART Life" in the input box.
   • Select Smart Life from the search results and click "[Enable Skill]".
   • Enter the username and password of your Smart Life APP account.
6. Control Device by Voice:
   • After successful setup, you can control devices via Echo.
   • First, say: "[Echo] (or [Alexa]), [discover my devices]". Echo will search for devices added to the Smart Life APP (this may take about 20 seconds).
   • Alternatively, click "[Discover devices]" in the Alexa APP.

Note: "Echo" is one of the wake-up words; you can also use "Alexa" or "Amazon" (configurable in Settings).

Integration with Google Assistant

Preparation:

• Download the Google Home App (compatible with Android 4.2+ or iOS 8.0+).
• Register your Google Account.

1. Activate Smart Life in Google Home App:
2. Open the Google Home App. Tap the "[➕]" icon on the upper left corner.
3. Select "[More Settings]" to enter the next interface.
4. Choose "[Services]" in the options bar and select "Smart Life".
5. Tap "[Link Account]", then sign in to your Smart Life Account.
6. Tap "[Link Now]". After your Smart Life account is linked, your smart devices will automatically appear.
7. Command the Device through Voice:
8. First, say "[OK Google], talk to Smart Life" to wake up Smart Life.
9. Then, you can control the device with commands like: "[turn on] the / [turn off] the `device name'".

Note: After Smart Life is awakened, you can say "[Cancel]" or "[Stop]" to exit. If you hear "[what can I do for you]", say "[Nothing]" to exit, or say "[OK Google], talk to Smart Life" again to start voice control.

Troubleshooting Guide

Why can't MoesGo's Smart Universal Remote control the appliance?

1. Step 1: Network Check: Ensure the network is working well for the Smart IR. (Touch any button on the smart app remote side; if the indicator light works fine, then the network is OK.)
2. Step 2: Obstacle Check: Check for obstacles between the remote and the appliance, within 8 meters.
3. Step 3: Control Type Confirmation: Confirm if the original remote control uses Infrared control. (Press the remote control after blocking the remote control head with your hand or another object. If the appliance does not work, it uses Infrared control. If it does not work, it should be Bluetooth or radio frequency control.)
