Rear Panel Controls and Connections
The rear panel features the following controls and connections, numbered from left to right:
- Power Cable Input: For connecting to the electricity network (90-240 VAC).
- ON/OFF Switch: A toggle switch to put the product in standby mode.
- DIRECT ON / AUDIO ON Switch: A selector for two power-on modes:
DIRECT ON: Subwoofer powers on/off with the main switch.
AUDIO ON: Subwoofer automatically powers on when an audio signal is detected and powers off after approximately 10 minutes of inactivity. - SPEAKER OUT: An output terminal for connecting a 4-ohm passive speaker.
- 0° / 180° Phase Switch: A toggle switch to invert the audio signal phase by 180°, useful for correcting phase cancellation issues.
- LPF (Low Pass Filter) Control: A rotary knob to adjust the cutoff frequency from 50Hz to 250Hz. A 'Home theater' marking indicates a suggested setting for cinema use.
- Volume Control: A rotary knob to adjust the input sensitivity, allowing for optimal signal matching with audio sources.
- INPUT (RCA): Stereo RCA audio input jacks. Connect to the RCA outputs of your audio system. For mono or LFE (Low-Frequency Effects) connections, use the right (R) input jack.
Starting the Subwoofer
To connect the subwoofer, use appropriate shielded RCA cables to link the 'OUT' (L and R) ports from your receiver or pre-amplifier to the 'INPUT' (L and R) ports on the subwoofer. For mono or LFE signals, connect the receiver's LFE or mono output to the 'R' input on the subwoofer.
