Water Resistance

For all watch categories, it is prohibited to: press buttons underwater; set hands underwater; unscrew the crown underwater.

If the watch has been exposed to salt water, rinse it thoroughly and dry it. Do not wear watches with leather straps while swimming. Avoid prolonged contact of leather straps with water.

Watches are classified by rating (from I to V) according to their water resistance. Check your watch's rating using the table below to determine correct usage.

Rating Case Marking Splash, Rain, Washing Machine, etc. Swimming, Snorkeling Scuba Diving Saturation Diving
INo markingYesNoNoNo
IIWATER RESISTANTYesNoNoNo
III50 M WATER RESISTANTYesYesNoNo
IV100 M WATER RESISTANTYesYesYesNo
V200 M WATER RESISTANTYesYesYesYes
V300 M WATER RESISTANTYesYesYesYes

Notes:

  1. Watches are not water-resistant. Avoid any moisture.
  2. WR (Water Resistant) means the model is water-resistant according to ISO 2281. Brief contact with water will not cause problems.
  3. With 5 Bar (50 meters) water resistance, the watch can withstand water pressure of the specified value and can be used while showering and brief swimming.
  4. 10 Bar (100 meters) water resistance means the watch can be used during normal swimming and snorkeling.
  5. 20 Bar (200 meters) water resistance means the watch can be used for scuba diving (except for depths requiring helium-oxygen mixtures).

When using the product in conditions of rapid temperature changes, slight condensation may form on the inside of the glass. This phenomenon is due to the laws of physics and is not a defect.

CASIO COMPUTER CO., LTD. is not responsible for any damage that may occur during the use of these watches, nor does it accept any claims from third parties.

Your watch may differ slightly from the illustrations in this manual.

Screw-Lock Crown

Some water-resistant watch models are equipped with a screw-lock crown. To pull out such a crown, you must unlock it by turning it in the direction shown in the figure [crown-unlock-arrow]. Do not apply excessive force when pulling out the crown. This may cause damage.

Please note that the watch is no longer protected from water and moisture when the crown is pulled out. After completing all operations with the crown, return it to its original position and lock it.

Watch Features

Watches with Backlight

Press and hold button [L] to illuminate the watch face. Depending on the watch model, the backlight duration is 2 to 3 seconds or 1 second.

The watch backlight uses electroluminescent (EL) elements, which lose power after prolonged use. Frequent use of the backlight reduces battery life. Activating the backlight for extended periods or when the battery is low may cause the watch hands to stop moving for a while.

Watches with Rotating Bezel

Turn the bezel to align the V marker with the minute hand. After some time, you can tell how much time has passed since you aligned the marker with the minute hand.
