This document provides instructions and information for operating the Casio MRT-200 digital watch, module 2413.

Important Information

Battery

The battery is installed at the factory and should be replaced by an authorized CASIO dealer or distributor when it shows signs of weakness (e.g., backlight not turning on, dim display).

Water Resistance

Your watch is classified by its water resistance rating (Levels I to V). Refer to the table below for proper usage.

RatingMarking on CaseSplash, Rain, WashingSwimming, Machine WashingDivingScuba Diving
IWATER RESISTANTYesNoNoNo
II50M WATER RESISTANTYesYesNoNo
III100M WATER RESISTANTYesYesYesNo
IV200M WATER RESISTANTYesYesYesYes
V300M WATER RESISTANTYesYesYesYes

Notes for respective ratings:

  • I: Watch is not water resistant. Avoid all moisture.
  • II: Do not pull out the crown [⚙️] while the watch is wet. Do not press buttons [▶️] underwater.
  • III: If exposed to salt water, rinse thoroughly and dry.
  • V: Suitable for scuba diving (excluding depths requiring a helium-oxygen mixture).

Watches with leather straps are not suitable for swimming or activities where the strap will be submerged.

Care for Your Watch

  • Replace the gasket every 2-3 years for water and dust resistance.
  • If water enters the watch, have it checked by a CASIO dealer.
  • Avoid extreme temperatures.
  • Handle with care; avoid dropping [⬇️].
  • Do not wear the band too tightly; allow a finger's width between the band and your wrist.
  • Clean with a dry soft cloth or a soft cloth dampened with a mild detergent solution. Avoid volatile agents (e.g., benzine, solvents).
  • Store in a dry place when not in use.
  • Avoid contact with benzine, solvents, aerosols, adhesives, paint, etc., as these can damage gaskets, case, and finish.
  • Be careful when cleaning silk-screened designs on bands to avoid damage.

For Watches with Plastic Bands

  • White powdery substance on the band is harmless and can be wiped off.
  • Sweat or moisture, or high humidity can cause damage or cracking. Wipe clean regularly.

For Watches with Fluorescent Cases and Bands

  • Prolonged direct sunlight can cause fluorescent colors to fade.
  • Moisture can cause fluorescent colors to fade. Wipe off moisture immediately.
  • Contact with other wet surfaces can cause fading. Keep fluorescent surfaces dry.
  • Rubbing can transfer fluorescent color.

CASIO COMPUTER CO., LTD. is not liable for any damages arising from the use of this watch.

Atmospheric Pressure Monitoring (in Timekeeping Mode)

Pressure readings are automatically recorded every 3 hours (starting from noon) and displayed as a graph of pressure changes over the last 18 hours. A flashing cursor indicates the latest data.

Diagram Description: Shows a graphic indicator with hourly segments (3am to 9pm) and arrows indicating pressure change (Up ⬆️, No change ↔️, Down ⬇️). Also shows the Barometric Pressure Graph.

Measurements are taken every 9, 6, and 3 seconds, then averaged.

Press button "D" [D] in Timekeeping Mode to view the pressure graph.

Barometer Mode Operation

Barometer Graphical Indicator

The graphical indicator shows current atmospheric pressure by filling segments from left (low pressure) to right (high pressure).

Diagram Description: Shows pressure change indicators for different hPa/mb ranges (e.g., "more than 11hPa/mb down ⬇️", "4-5hPa/mb up ⬆️"). Also shows a graphic indicator with filled segments representing pressure.

Note: Sudden pressure changes may cause the graph to shift out of view. Readings resume when pressure normalizes.

Measurement saving may be skipped if:

Diagram Description: A graph showing atmospheric pressure changes over time (Noon, 3pm, 6pm).

Switching Barometer Scale (hPa – in.Hg)

  1. In Barometer Mode, press and hold button "A" [A] for 6 seconds until the pressure value flashes.
  2. Press button "C" [C] to switch between hPa and in.Hg.
  3. Press button "A" [A] to return to Barometer Mode.

Sensor Calibration

  1. In Barometer Mode, press and hold button "A" [A] until the pressure value flashes.
