This user manual will help you assemble and operate your new electric scooter. Be sure to read ALL OF THE INFORMATION in this manual before riding.

NOTE TO ALL RIDERS UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE: It's very important that you get parental permission before riding your electric scooter.

Don't Ride Until You Read This:

? ALWAYS wear a helmet when riding your electric scooter.

Make sure your scooter has a full battery before taking it out to ride.

⚠️ Always be aware of local road laws, and follow them.

Do not ride the scooter under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Always respect pedestrians.

Do not ride under wet conditions. The scooter may slide from under your feet causing injury. Wet conditions may damage the electronics and void the warranty.

Warning Message

  1. Avoid water: The scooter is not waterproof. The electronics may be damaged due to water and water damage is not covered by our warranty. Riding in wet conditions is also very dangerous and may result in injury.
  2. Abuse: We do not cover physical damage due to negligent care and extreme riding.
  3. Whenever you ride the GOTRAX scooter, you risk severe injury or even death from loss of control, collisions, and falls. Use caution and ride at your own risk.
  4. Do not modify the product from the manufacturer's original design.
  5. Keep hands and all body parts away from moving parts while operating the scooter.
  6. Before riding - be sure to check the scooter over and make sure the scooter is operating correctly before each use.
  7. Before riding - be sure to check that the braking system is functioning properly; also be sure to check that all safety labels are in place and you understand the safety warnings.
  8. Before riding - be sure that any and all axle guards, chain guards, or other covers or guards supplied by the manufacturer are in place and in serviceable condition.
  9. Before riding - be sure to check that the tires are in good condition, inflated properly, and have sufficient tread remaining.
  10. Never exceed the 220 lb (100 kg) maximum load rating.
  11. The electric scooter should never be used by children under the age of 13.
  12. Maximum Speed - Your electric scooter goes the maximum speed of 20 mph.

Unpack

? You should find each of these items in your box:

  • Electric Scooter
  • 4 Screws
  • 4 mm Allen Wrench
  • Approved Power Adapter / Charging Unit
  • Tire pump extender

Remove all packaging material, then inspect each item for any accidental damage that may have occurred during shipping.

Get To Know Your Scooter

Assemble Your Scooter

? Follow these steps to assemble your scooter:

  1. Straighten the tiller and lift the tiller upright (as shown in the figure).
  2. Press the folding lever as the figure shows to lock the tiller.
  3. Insert the exposed cable into the tiller and then insert the console into the tiller. Use the tool and screws to lock the console into place (as shown in the figure).

Charge Your Scooter

?? Before using the scooter, you must fully charge the battery.

  1. Open the rubber charging port cover.
  2. Insert the charging plug into the port.
  3. The charger box will have a green light when fully charged and a red light when charging.
  4. When you are done charging, be sure to cover the charging port to keep it clear of dust and debris.
  5. Charging Time: About 6 hours

Charging Requirement: Make sure to charge your scooter in conditions that do not exceed 104 degrees Fahrenheit or below 32 degrees Fahrenheit.

Scooter Console Functions

? Control your scooter with the console:

  • Power: Long press the power button to turn on and off.
  • Headlight: Hold "+" button for 3 seconds to power the headlight on/off. The taillight functions as a braking light.
  • Display Lock: To unlock the display, the default password is 000. Press "+" to input 0, then press the power button to confirm. Repeat for all three digits (000). Press the power button twice to unlock.
  • Set Custom Code: Press the "-" button and the "Power button" together for 10 seconds. Use the "+" button to input the first number of your code, then press the power button to set. Repeat for all three numbers. Press the power button twice to unlock. (Note: Please shoot a photo after you set your own code.)
  • Gear Selection: The default gear is Gear 1 (display L1), max speed 15.5 MPH. Press "+" to switch to Gear 2, max speed 20 MPH.
  • Cruise Control: Press the throttle for 8 seconds to activate. Deactivate by holding the hand brake.
  • Push Assist Mode: Hold "-" button while walking to activate. The scooter moves at 3 KM/H for easier pushing.
  • Cancel Display Lock: Long press "+" and "Power button" together for 10 seconds. An alarm sound indicates success.
  • Speed Unit: Default is MPH. Press "+" and "-" simultaneously for 10 seconds to switch to Km/h.
  • Clear Total Mileage: When powered on, press "Power button" and "+" and "-" simultaneously for 10 seconds to reset accumulated mileage to 0.

Using the Anti-Theft Device

? The scooter features a built-in anti-theft device with a numerical code.

Device Components:

  • 1. Locking head
  • 2. Anti-theft cable
  • 3. Anti-theft cable storage space
  • 4. Lock
  • 5. Locking button
  • 6. Dials
  • 7. Code reset button

How to Unlock:

  1. Unlock with default code 0000.
  2. Slide the reset button to the right (SET mode).
  3. Set a new code by turning the dials (Please shoot a photo).
  4. Slide the reset button to the left.

To Attach to a Fixed Support:

  1. Enter the safety code.
  2. Pull out the anti-theft cable.
  3. Insert the cable head into the lock hole.
  4. Turn the dials to lock the anti-theft device.

To Remove from a Fixed Support:

  1. Enter the safety code.
  2. Press the unlock button.
  3. Pull the cable head out of the lock.
  4. Pull the cable back to the stem tube.

After use, push the cable into the stem tube and secure the cable head in the storage bracket to prevent it from hanging down and getting caught in the wheel.

Riding Tips

? Follow these tips for a better riding experience:

  1. Start riding with one foot on the platform and one foot on the ground. Push off with the ground foot and press the throttle to begin movement.
  2. Press the brake handbrake to slow down or stop.
  3. The scooters perform best on smooth surfaces like carparks, smooth roads, footpaths, and bike lanes.
  4. Always clean your scooter (wheels, platform, etc.) as it requires maintenance.
  5. Do not press the throttle while walking with the scooter beside you.
  6. Be aware of the terrain you are riding on, watch out for curbs and obstacles!

Putting Your Scooter Away/Folding

? Before folding, ensure the scooter is powered off.

Folding: Press the lock buckle, pull down the lever, and fold the tiller towards the rear fender. Lock the tiller hook to the fender hook buckle.

Unfolding: Disconnect the tiller hook from the fender hook. Pull the tiller upwards and lock the locking device on the bottom of the tiller by pulling the clamp. Test the tiller to ensure it is locked.

Maintenance & Repair

? Regularly cleaning and maintaining your electric scooter will extend its life.

  • Cleaning and storage: Wipe clean with a soft damp cloth.
  • Disc Brake Adjustments: If the brake is too tight, use a 4mm Allen wrench to loosen screws counterclockwise. Push the brake wire to shorten and lock the screw. If too loose, loosen screws and pull brake wire to extend and lock.
  • Tiller Adjustments: If the tiller wiggles, check the folding mechanism and tighten screws with an Allen wrench.
  • Tires: Recommended PSI: 36. Fill to recommended PSI if low.
  • Cleaning Solvents: DO NOT use alcohol, gasoline, kerosene, or other corrosive chemical solvents. Do not use a pressure washer.
  • Storage: Store in a dry, cool location. Avoid outdoor storage due to sun exposure damage.

Battery Information

? Only use the approved GOTRAX power adapter. Others may cause fire risk or damage.

Dispose of used batteries according to local regulations to prevent environmental pollution.

Store scooter and adapter between -4°F and 122°F (-20°C and 50°C).

Warning: Risk of Fire. No User Serviceable Parts. Prolonged exposure to UV rays, rain, and elements may damage enclosed materials. Store indoors when not in use.
