Introduction
This user manual will help you assemble and operate your new GOTRAX electric scooter. Please read all information in this manual before riding.
Note to riders under 18 years of age: It is very important to get parental permission before riding your electric scooter.
Safety First: Before You Ride
Don't ride until you read this!
- ⛑️ ALWAYS wear a helmet when riding your electric scooter.
- Ensure your scooter has a full battery before riding.
- Be aware of and follow local road laws.
- Do not ride under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
- Always respect pedestrians.
- Do not ride under wet conditions. The scooter may slide, causing injury, and wet conditions may damage electronics and void the warranty.

Lithium-ion Batteries and/or products that contain Lithium-ion Batteries can expose you to chemicals including cobalt lithium nickel oxide, and nickel, which are known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. Important Warning Messages
- Avoid water: The scooter is not waterproof. Water damage is not covered by warranty. Riding in wet conditions is dangerous and may result in injury.
- Abuse: Physical damage due to negligent care and extreme riding is not covered.
- Riding the GOTRAX electric scooter carries risks of severe injury or death from loss of control, collisions, and falls. Use caution and ride at your own risk.
- Do not modify the product from its original design.
- Keep hands and all body parts away from moving parts while operating the scooter.
- Before riding: Check the scooter to ensure it is operating correctly.
- Before riding: Check that the braking system is functioning properly, all safety labels are in place, and understand safety warnings.
- Before riding: Ensure any axle guards, chain guards, or other covers supplied by the manufacturer are in place and in serviceable condition.
- Before riding: Check that the tires are in good condition, properly inflated, and have sufficient tread remaining.
- Never exceed the 264 lbs (120 kg) maximum load rating.
- The electric scooter should never be used by children under the age of 13.
- Maximum Speed: Your electric scooter's maximum speed is 20 mph (32 km/h).
Unpack Your Scooter
You should find the following items in your box:

- Tire Gauge Pipe
- Screws (x6)
Remove all packaging material and inspect each item for any accidental damage that may have occurred during shipping.
Get To Know Your Scooter
The electric scooter comes partially assembled.
- Accelerator: Controls speed.
- Handle bar: Steering component.
- Headlight: Front illumination.
- Tiller: Vertical steering column.
- Bell: Audible warning device.
- Handle Brake: Lever to activate brakes.
- Console: Display and control unit.
- Folding mechanism: Allows the scooter to be folded.
- Safety latch: Secures the folded scooter.
- Rear basket: For carrying items.
- Pedal: Foot platform.
- Kickstand: Supports the scooter when parked.
- Motor: Provides power for movement.
- Rear double shock absorber: For a smoother ride.
- Built-in battery: Powers the scooter.
- Charger port: For connecting the charging unit.
- Rear light/Brake light: Rear illumination and brake indicator.

Assemble Your Scooter
Tool Requirements: 4mm Allen Wrench (in the package).
- Take out the scooter, console, and assembly tools (wrench and screws) from the box. Check the parts list to confirm that the parts are not damaged or lost during transportation.
- Lift the tiller upright. Once the scooter is locked in the upright position, verify by gently trying to fold.
- Pull the handbrake towards you and insert the round metal piece into the opening. String the small silver cord through the solid piece of the handbrake. Make sure the metal piece on the brake cord is pushed fully into the handbrake.
- Connect the power cord between the tiller and the console, then insert the console above the tiller until the screw holes on the tiller and console are aligned. Install the screws on the screw holes of the tiller and tighten with a wrench.
Charge Your Scooter
Before using the scooter, you must fully charge the battery.
- Open the rubber charging port cover.
- Insert the charging plug into the port.
- The charger box will have a green light when fully charged and a red light when charging.
- When charging is done, ensure the charging port is covered to keep it clear of dust and debris.
- Charging Time: About 6.5 hours.
Charging Requirement: Charge your scooter in conditions that do not exceed 104°F (40°C) or go below 32°F (0°C). Use only the original charger.
Scooter Console Functions
- On/OFF Machine: Long press the power button for 3 seconds to turn on/off. The buzzer will sound "di", and the scooter will shut down automatically after 5 minutes without operation.
- Shift Gears: Press the power button to change gears. Speeds are: 0-3 MPH in pedestrian mode (1st gear), 0-15.5 MPH in 2nd gear, and 0-20 MPH in 3rd gear.
- Light: Press the power button twice continuously to turn on/off the headlights and taillights. Taillights are slightly bright, highly bright when braking, and the atmosphere lights are automatically lit when starting (breathing light).
- Display Switch: Press the power button three times to switch display modes.
- Fixed Cruise: Keep the throttle at the same speed for 8-10 seconds. The buzzer will sound "di", and the cruise icon will light up. You can exit cruise mode by twisting the throttle, brake, or changing gears.
Password Lock Function:
- After starting the scooter, press the throttle once to increase the password figure, and brake the handlebar once to decrease the password figure. Click the power button to switch the password number. Double-click the power button to confirm. The standard password is 000.
- To enter password change mode, turn the scooter on, enter the correct password, and press the power button 4 times within 10 seconds. In change mode, pressing the power button 4 times or 1 minute of inactivity will save the new password and exit.
- To enable the password function, press the power button 6 times in password-off mode. To disable, press the power button 6 times in password-on mode.
Console Display:
- Driving speed: Displays current speed.
- Speed units: MPH/KM/H toggle.
- Headlights icon: Indicates headlight status.
- PRNDS: Gear indicator (P-Park, R-Reverse (if applicable), N-Neutral (if applicable), D-Drive, S-Sport).
- The Brake Logo: Indicates brake activation.
- Cruise Control: Icon indicates cruise control is active.
- Mileage: Displays total distance traveled.
- Top Battery: Shows remaining battery level.
- Power Switch: Button to turn the scooter on/off.
Riding Tips
- Start riding with one foot on the platform and one foot on the ground. Use your ground foot to push off, and simultaneously press the throttle to begin movement.
- Press the handbrake to slow down or stop.
- The scooter performs best on smooth surfaces like carparks, smooth roads, footpaths, and bike lanes.
- Always clean your scooter (wheels, platform, etc.). It is a machine and requires maintenance.
- Do not press the throttle while walking with the scooter beside you.
- Be aware of the terrain; watch out for curbs and obstacles.
- Cruise Control: To activate, press the right-hand throttle down for 8 seconds. To deactivate, press either the right-hand throttle or brake button.
- Brake Light Status: The taillight also functions as a brake light. When the headlight is on, the brake light is steady. When the handbrake is engaged, the taillight becomes brighter, alerting vehicles and pedestrians behind.
Putting Your Scooter Away/Folding
Before folding the scooter, ensure it is powered off.
Folding: Ensure the electric scooter is powered off. Press the lock buckle and pull down the lever. Fold the tiller down towards the rear fender and lock the tiller hook to the fender hook buckle.
Unfolding: Disconnect the tiller hook from the fender hook. Pull the tiller upwards and lock the locking device on the bottom of the tiller by pulling the clamp towards the tiller. Test the tiller to ensure it is locked into place before riding.
Maintenance & Repair
Regular cleaning and maintenance will extend the life of your electric scooter.
Cleaning and storage: If the scooter is dirty, wipe it clean with a soft damp cloth.
Brake Adjustments & Service: If you need brake adjustments or any service, contact GOTRAX customer service. Do not attempt to repair the scooter yourself, as this can void your warranty and risk damaging the scooter.
Tire Pressure: If the tire pressure is low, fill to the recommended PSI on the side of the tire. Recommended PSI: 50.
DO NOT use alcohol, gasoline, kerosene, or other corrosive chemical solvents to clean the scooter, as they can severely damage its appearance and structure. Do not use a pressure washer, as it may also damage the electronics.
Storage: When not in use, store your scooter in a dry and cool location. Avoid storing outdoors, as sun exposure can damage its appearance and shorten the life of the battery and tires.
Tightening the Tiller: If the tiller is loose or wiggles while riding, tighten the screws. Open the plastic cover and use the Allen wrench to tighten the screws as shown in Figure 1.
Brake adjustment: If the brake is too tight, turn the brake cable nut counterclockwise to loosen it. If the brake is too loose, turn the brake cable nut clockwise to tighten it (Figure 2).
Battery Information
- Only use the approved GOTRAX power adapter to charge your scooter; others may cause a risk of fire and equipment damage.
- Improper disposal of used batteries can pollute the environment. Please comply with local disposal regulations.
- Store your scooter and power adapter in conditions that do not exceed 122°F (50°C) or go below -4°F (-20°C).
- Warning - Risk of Fire: No User Serviceable Parts. Prolonged exposure to UV rays, rain, and the elements can damage enclosed materials. Store indoors when not in use.

- Users should operate in accordance with the product manual. In case of any performance fault caused by production quality, GOTRAX shall perform its obligations under the three guarantees in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
- GOTRAX remains responsible for after-sales service for faults beyond the three guarantees and for major components within the three guarantees, though a cost for repair may apply.
- If battery replacement is needed after the warranty period, GOTRAX will supply the battery at factory price to ensure safety and avoid pollution.
- Physical damage due to negligent care and extreme riding is not covered.
