Warranty Information
The Baby Trend® warranty covers workmanship defects within the first 180 days of purchase. Any product subjected to misuse, abuse, abnormal use, excessive wear and tear, improper assembly, negligence, environmental exposure, alteration, or accident, or with an altered/removed serial number, invalidates all claims against the manufacturer. Any damage to property during installation is the end user's sole responsibility. Warranty is valid only in North America. Return Authorizations are required prior to returning products to Baby Trend®. Customer Service can be contacted at 1 (800) 328-7363, Monday through Friday, between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM PST.
Important Safety Warnings and Precautions
⚠️ WARNING: Please follow all instructions carefully to ensure your child's safety. Failure to follow these instructions could result in serious injury or death.
- Avoid serious injury from falling or sliding out; always use the safety harness and ensure children are properly positioned according to these instructions.
- Never leave children unattended.
- Be careful when folding and unfolding the stroller to prevent finger entrapment.
General Precautions
- This stroller is designed for one child only. Using it with more than one child may cause instability and injure your child.
- Avoid placing items like purses, shopping bags, parcels, or diaper bags on the stroller, as they can alter its balance and create a hazardous, unstable condition.
- The storage basket has a maximum weight capacity of 3 lbs (1.36 kg). Excessive weight may cause a hazardous, unstable condition.
- Ensure the stroller is completely opened and locked in place before allowing a child near it.
- The maximum weight capacity for this stroller is up to 45 lbs (20.4 kg) or 40 inches (101.6 cm). Additional weight will cause excessive wear and stress on the stroller and may lead to a hazardous, unstable condition.
- NEVER use the stroller on stairways or escalators.
- NEVER use the stroller with roller skates, in-line skates, skateboards, or bicycles.
- NEVER allow your stroller to be used as a toy.
Cleaning and Maintenance
- To clean, use only mild household soap or detergent and warm water on a sponge or clean cloth.
- Regularly check your stroller for loose screws, worn parts, torn material, or stitching. Replace or repair parts as needed.
- Discontinue use if the stroller malfunctions or becomes damaged. Please contact customer service to arrange for repair or obtain replacement parts.
Parts Identification
Before assembly, verify you have all the parts for this model:
- Stroller Frame
- Canopy
- Front Wheels
- Rear Wheels (implied, as front wheels are installed first)
- Optional Accessories: Infant Car Seat, Base (refer to separate manual for these)
Note: Wheel styles may vary.
Assembly Instructions
Adult assembly is required. Follow all instructions carefully for safe operation. Before assembly and each use, inspect the product for damaged hardware, loose joints, missing parts, or sharp edges. NEVER use if any parts are missing or broken.
Attaching Front Wheels
(Refer to Figures 1a, 1b, 1c, 1d)
- Unlock the release lever (as shown in diagram).
- Pull the handle bars back to open the stroller frame.
- To lock the stroller frame into the open position, push down on the center pedal and then pull up on the locking lever.
- Lean the stroller back so it rests on the handle with the front and rear legs pointing upward.
- Position the front wheels over the front leg tubes, aligning the hole in the housing with the legs.
- Firmly push down until the wheels lock securely into place. Tug each wheel to ensure they are both securely attached.
Attaching Canopy
(Refer to Figures 2a, 2b, 3a, 3b)
- Attach the ends of the canopy to the stroller frame by pushing each hook end onto the frame. Secure the hook fasteners to the stroller frame.
- Attach the back canopy flap to the seat back with the hook fasteners provided.
- To open the canopy: Push forward on the front edge of the canopy. Push downward on the tensioners to secure.
- To fold the canopy: Pull upwards on the tensioners and then pull backwards on the front edge.
Safety and Usage
Brakes
(Refer to Figure 4)
- ⚠️ WARNING: Always set brakes when the stroller is not being pushed so that the stroller will not roll away. NEVER leave stroller unattended on a hill or incline as the stroller may slide down the hill.
- To engage brakes: Apply light downward pressure to the brake lever located on each rear wheel. The stroller may require slight forward or rearward movement to align the brake teeth with the wheel brake cluster. Check that the stroller will not move and that both brakes are properly applied.
- To release brakes: Gently lift up on the brake lever.
Securing the Child (5-Point Harness)
(Refer to Figures 5a, 5b)
- ⚠️ WARNING: Avoid serious injury from falling or sliding out. Always use the safety harness.
- ⚠️ STRANGULATION HAZARD: Child can strangle in loose straps. Never leave child in seat when straps are loose or undone.
- The shoulder straps of the 5-point harness have 3 attachment positions. Select the position that places the shoulder strap level with, or below the top of the child's shoulder.
- Carefully place the child in the stroller seat and bring the safety harness around the child's waist and over the shoulders.
- Place the crotch strap between the child's legs.
- Insert the male end of each shoulder/waist belt into the buckle on the crotch strap.
- Tighten the harness to be snug around the child's waist and over the child's shoulders.
Releasing the Harness
(Refer to Figure 6)
- To release: Apply pressure to both sides of each male clip until the clip is released. This process requires a moderate amount of effort to prevent an accidental release by your child.
Seat Back Position
(Refer to Figures 7a, 7b)
- ⚠️ WARNING: The upright position should be used only for a child that is at least 6 months old.
- The seat has a multiple-position recline controlled by a cord and spring-loaded adjuster behind the seat.
- To recline the seat: Pull back on the loop of the adjuster.
- To place the seat back in a more upright position: Grab the adjuster with one hand and pull the cord to the desired position with the other hand. The cord will lock automatically.
Folding and Unfolding
To Fold the Stroller
(Refer to Figures 8a, 8b, 8c)
- Close the canopy as described in the canopy section.
- Lift the center pedal up and push down on the locking lever on the right side of the stroller.
- Push the handles forward until the stroller completely closes.
- Lock the release lever to secure the stroller in the folded position.
To Unfold the Stroller
(Refer to Figures 9a, 9b)
- Unlock the release lever.
- Pull back on the handle bars to open the stroller frame.
- To lock the stroller frame into the open position, push down on the center pedal.
- ALWAYS ENSURE THAT THE REAR LOCKING MECHANISM IS SECURELY LOCKED BEFORE USING THE STROLLER.
Maintenance
Seat Pad Cleaning
To clean the seat pad, use only mild household soap or detergent and warm water on a sponge or clean cloth.
General Maintenance Checks
Regularly check your stroller for loose screws, worn parts, torn material, or stitching. Replace or repair parts as needed.
