Product Overview

The MEE audio EB1 EarBoost earphones are Bluetooth wireless adaptive audio enhancement earphones designed for smart audio enhancement.

Key Components and Controls:

  • Volume Up / Skip Track Button: Used to increase volume or skip to the next track.
  • Multifunction Button: Used for power on/off, play/pause, answering/ending calls, rejecting calls, activating voice assistants (like Siri®), and redialing.
  • Volume Down / Previous Track Button: Used to decrease volume or go to the previous track.
  • Microphone: Integrated for calls and voice commands.
  • Status Indicator Light: Provides visual feedback on the earphone's status (e.g., charging, pairing).
  • Micro-USB Charging Port: Located on the earphones for charging the battery.

Step 1: Charging

Connect the included Micro-USB charging cable to the Micro-USB charging port on the EB1 earphones and to any powered USB port (e.g., computer or USB charger). The charging process takes approximately 2 hours. The status indicator light will turn blue once the earphones are fully charged and ready for use. For maximum sweat resistance, ensure the USB port cover is closed completely after charging.

Visual Description: A diagram shows the Micro-USB cable connecting to the earphone's charging port and a USB power source. A circular indicator shows "2 HRS" suggesting charging time.

  1. Press and hold the Multifunction button for approximately 5 seconds until you hear the headset announce “Pairing”.
  2. Open the Bluetooth menu on your device (typically found under Settings > Bluetooth).
  3. If necessary, select options like “search for devices”, “add new device”, or “refresh”.
  4. Select “MEE audio EB1” from the list of available devices.

Step 3: Selecting Eartips and Earfins

For the most secure fit and optimal sound quality, select the appropriate earfin size that provides a snug fit in your ear. Then, choose the eartips that offer the best sound and comfort for your ears.

Troubleshooting Sound Quality: If your music sounds tinny or lacks bass, try using different eartips to improve the seal and sound profile.

Visual Description: Diagrams illustrate different sizes of earfins and eartips, showing how to select the best fit for individual ears. Examples show earfins labeled 'L' and how eartips attach to the earphone nozzle.

Step 4: Wearing the Earphones

Identifying Left and Right Earpieces: The earphones are marked with 'L' for the left ear and 'R' for the right ear. Ensure you place them in the correct ears.

Wearing the Earphones:

  1. Place the cable behind your neck.
  2. Insert each earpiece into its corresponding ear.
  3. Adjust each earpiece until it fits flush in your ear and the eartip creates a seal in the ear canal.
  4. Tighten the sliding cable cinch (adjuster) to secure the cable and ensure a snug, stable fit.

Storage: When not in use, clip the earphones together using the built-in magnets to keep them tidy and prevent tangling.

Visual Description: A series of diagrams show the correct way to wear the earphones: identifying left and right, routing the cable behind the neck, inserting earpieces, adjusting the fit, tightening the cable cinch, and finally, clipping the earphones together with magnets.

  2. Alternatively, scan the appropriate QR code provided with the product.

  1. Press the “Hearing Test” button (labeled A in the app interface) to begin creating your initial adaptive audio profile. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the test.
  2. Once the test is finished, navigate back to the app's home page. Your custom EQ curve will be available under the “My EQ” preset (labeled B).

  1. Manually adjust the drag handles on individual frequencies (labeled A) to modify the EQ curve.
  2. Use the “Level” slider (labeled B) to change the overall severity of the audio enhancement.
  3. Once you are satisfied with your adjustments, select “Save Profile” (labeled C) to save your custom EQ curve to one of the two available profiles.
  4. These saved profiles can then be accessed and loaded into your EB1 earphones by using the “Profile 1” (labeled D) and “Profile 2” (labeled E) buttons within the app.

Visual Description: The EarBoost app interface shows advanced adjustment options. It highlights drag handles (A) for frequency adjustments, a "Level" slider (B), a "Save Profile" button (C), and buttons for "Profile 1" (D) and "Profile 2" (E).

Factory Reset

To perform a full reset of your EB1 earphones:

  1. Put the EB1 in standby mode (powered on but not connected to any devices).
  2. Ensure Bluetooth is turned off on your device, or delete the “MEE audio EB1” pairing from any previously connected devices.
  3. While in standby mode, press and hold both the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons simultaneously for approximately 8 seconds. You will hear two tones indicating the reset is complete.

After a factory reset, all previously paired devices will be cleared from the EB1's memory, and the earphones will enter pairing mode. A new pairing process will be required before you can use the EB1 again.
