⚠ WARNING: Furniture tip-over can cause serious or fatal crushing injuries. Always secure this furniture to the wall using the provided tip-over restraints. To further reduce the risk of serious injury and death from tip-overs:
- Place heaviest items in the lower drawer.
- Do not set TVs or other heavy objects on top of this product.
- Never let children climb or hang on drawers, doors, or shelves.
Tools and Parts Required
Tools:
- Screwdriver (Phillips head)
- Screwdriver (Flat head)
- Hammer
- Drill with drill bits (Ø 8 mm / 5/16" and Ø 3 mm / 1/8")
- Measuring tape
Hardware:
Various screws, dowels, cam locks, cam lock posts, drawer runners, wall brackets, and wall anchors are provided. Refer to the diagrams for specific quantities and part identification.
Assembly Steps
Step 1-2: Prepare Side Panels
Attach drawer runners to the inner sides of the left (L) and right (R) main panels using screws and cam lock posts.
Step 3-5: Assemble Main Frame
Insert wooden dowels into one side panel. Attach the back panel and then the other side panel to form the basic frame. Secure the frame using cam locks.
Step 6-7: Attach Top and Base
Secure the top panels to the frame using cam locks. Ensure the frame is stable.
Step 8-11: Prepare and Insert Drawer Bases
Insert dowels into drawer base panels. Slide these panels into the grooves of the main frame. Attach front support pieces using screws and dowels.
Step 12-18: Assemble Drawer Boxes
Assemble the individual drawer boxes by connecting the sides, front, back, and base panels. Secure these connections using cam locks and screws as indicated in the diagrams.
Step 19: Attach Anti-Tip Bracket
Attach the anti-tip restraint bracket to the top rear of the main unit using screws.
Step 20-21: Attach Drawer Fronts and Insert Drawers
Attach the drawer front panels to the assembled drawer boxes. Insert the completed drawer boxes into the main unit, ensuring they slide smoothly on the runners.
Step 22: Wall Mounting (Crucial Safety Step)
⚠ IMPORTANT: This furniture MUST be secured to the wall using the provided anti-tip restraints to prevent serious injury or death from tip-over.
The supplied screws and plugs are suitable for most solid (A) and hollow (B) walls. For solid wood (C), use screws without plugs. If you are uncertain about your wall type or the correct fasteners, seek professional advice.
Wall Type A (Solid Wall):
Drill a Ø 8 mm (5/16") hole. Insert the wall plug. Secure the bracket with a screw.
Wall Type B (Hollow Wall):
Drill a Ø 8 mm (5/16") hole. Insert the wall plug. Secure the bracket with a screw.
Wall Type C (Solid Wood):
Drill a Ø 3 mm (1/8") hole. Secure the bracket directly with a screw.
Step 23-27: Final Drawer Runner and Box Assembly
Attach the remaining drawer runners to the inside of the main unit. Assemble the drawer boxes, including attaching drawer fronts and securing with cam locks and screws.
Step 28-34: Final Drawer Insertion and Adjustment
Insert the assembled drawers into the unit. The diagrams show how to align and secure the drawers, often with a click mechanism, and make any necessary adjustments for smooth operation.
