Installation Steps
Step 1: Locating Mounting Points
Identify the designated mounting locations on your vehicle's roof rails. The diagram indicates four specific points, two on each side of the vehicle, where the support kit will be attached.
Diagram Description: A schematic top-down view of a vehicle roof highlights four circular markers. Each marker signifies a mounting position and is associated with the central mounting plate (865) and the main support bracket (813-073).
Step 2: Assembling the Support Brackets
Assemble the main support brackets by attaching the central mounting plates (865) to the primary bracket components (012-064). Use the provided screws and washers. Ensure correct orientation as depicted.
Diagram Description: An exploded view illustrates the assembly of a bracket. The central plate (865) is shown aligning with the main bracket (012-064). Screws and washers are used for connection. A torque specification of 6 Nm is indicated for these fasteners. A general warning symbol ⚠️ is displayed next to a vehicle icon ?, advising caution.
Step 3: Positioning Brackets on Roof Rails
Carefully place the assembled support bracket onto the vehicle's roof rail. Align the bracket with the pre-determined mounting points.
Diagram Description: The diagram shows the assembled bracket being positioned onto the vehicle's roof rail. Arrow A indicates the direction of placement. Hand icon ? (Label B) suggests manual handling or initial hand-tightening of components.
Step 4: Attaching the Roof Bar
Slide the main roof bar into the assembled bracket. The roof bar is made of Aluminium and has dimensions of 50x30 mm and 52x35 mm (cross-section). Ensure the bar is fully seated.
Diagram Description: The main roof bar, specified as Aluminium with dimensions 50x30 mm and 52x35 mm, is shown being attached to the bracket. Arrow A indicates the insertion direction. Hand icon ? (Label B) suggests manual tightening. Scissors icon ✂️ (Label D) indicates a step where a small piece of trim or plastic may need to be cut for proper fitment.
Step 5: Securing the Roof Bar
Fasten the roof bar to the bracket using the provided screws and washers. Apply the specified torque to ensure a secure connection.
Diagram Description: The roof bar is shown secured to the bracket. Arrow A indicates the direction of attachment. Hand icon ? (Label B) is shown with a wrench icon ? and the torque value 5 Nm, indicating the required tightening force for the screws and washers.
Step 6: Final Assembly and Checks
Complete the installation by repeating the process for all mounting points. Ensure all roof bars are correctly aligned and securely fastened. Install any protective covers or trim pieces.
Diagram Description: A view of the completed roof bar installation on the vehicle. Arrow C indicates the direction for sliding a trim piece or cover into place. Bracket attachment is shown (Label D). Hand icon ? (Label E) suggests final manual adjustments or tightening. Measurement A indicates a reference point, possibly for alignment. Wrench icon ? with 5 Nm (Label B) reinforces the torque specification for final securing.
