- 5 Tonne Chassis Cab Only: Remove the four existing bolts each side bolting the under-run beam to the vehicles chassis members and remove the beam. (No longer required).
- All Models: Locate and clean all Towbar mounting point faces on vehicle, ensure both sides of chassis are clean and free from any under seal.
- Using Item G with Item J loosely bolt Item B (Side Arms) to the existing holes in each chassis member with Item C (Chassis Clamp Plate) on the outside face. Note: Item C must be fitted with Towbar on MWB and LWB only.
- Using Item H with Item K loosely bolt Item A (Crossmember) to Item B (Side Arms).
- Using Item F or Item L bolt the chosen coupling to the mounting plate Item D (Slider Frame). (When fitting to 5 tonne vehicles with the 4 bolt coupling (E100TC) please ensure 12 x 30 flat washers supplied with coupling are behind Item D).

- Fit Item D (Slider Frame) to Item A (Crossmember) using Item E (Slider Frame Pins and clips). SEE SKETCH ? for orientation of clips.
Diagram Descriptions
The primary diagram illustrates the assembly of the towbar system onto a vehicle chassis. It shows the central Crossmember (A) connecting to two Side Arms (B). The Side Arms (B) are designed to attach to the vehicle's chassis members using Chassis Clamp Plates (C) and various bolts and nuts (G, J, H, K). The Slider Frame (D), which holds the tow coupling, is shown attached to the Crossmember (A) via pins and clips (E). The diagram also includes a detailed view of the chassis connection points, highlighting how the clamp plates and bolts align with the chassis holes. A close-up view of the coupling attachment point shows the use of linch pins and R clips to secure the Slider Frame (D).
A specific detail for 5 Tonne Chassis Cab models shows the removal of an under-run beam, indicated by a yellow highlight on the beam and a note that it is no longer required. This implies the towbar mounts directly to the chassis frame in these instances.
