Using the RoboVac Robot Vacuum
Before Use - Important Tips
- Clear power cords and small objects from the floor that the RoboVac robot vacuum may get stuck/tangled in.
- Tuck rug fringes under the rug to prevent the RoboVac robot vacuum from getting tangled. Do not use the robot vacuum on very dark carpets with high pile or rugs thicker than 1.02 inches / 26 mm, as this may cause the RoboVac robot vacuum to malfunction.
- Keep the RoboVac robot vacuum at least 2.87 inches / 73 mm away from spaces to avoid the RoboVac robot vacuum getting stuck. If necessary, install a physical barrier to block areas that are difficult for the RoboVac robot vacuum.
- Keep the RoboVac robot vacuum away from wet areas.
- The RoboVac robot vacuum may climb over objects less than 0.63 inches / 16 mm high. Remove such objects from the cleaning area if possible.
- Drop sensors prevent the RoboVac robot vacuum from falling down stairs and steep slopes. Sensors are less effective if they are dirty or used on carpets/reflective/very dark floors. It is recommended to install physical barriers to block areas where the RoboVac robot vacuum may fall.
- Place physical barriers in front of fireplaces and areas where the RoboVac robot vacuum may be damaged.
Preparation
- Attach the side brushes before use.
- Turn on the vacuum cleaner (main power switch in the "ON" position, located on the bottom of the RoboVac robot vacuum).
- Remove the Velcro strip near the power switch and the foam blocks near the bumper.
- Position the charging station against a wall on a hard, level surface, not on carpet.
Charging the RoboVac Robot Vacuum
The RoboVac robot vacuum is equipped with a rechargeable battery (already installed) that needs to be fully charged before use.

Method 1: Dock the RoboVac robot vacuum with the charging station by aligning its charging contacts with the station's charging contacts.
Method 2: Press the button on the remote control of the robot vacuum to return the RoboVac robot vacuum to the charging station.
Turn off the power if you do not plan to use the RoboVac robot vacuum for an extended period. To prolong battery life, charge at least once every 6 months.
Starting/Ending a Cleaning Session
- Ensure the main power switch on the bottom of the RoboVac robot vacuum is turned ON before use.
- Press the button on the RoboVac robot vacuum body or on the remote control to start cleaning in automatic mode.
- Press the button on the RoboVac robot vacuum body or on the remote control to end the cleaning session.
Choosing a Cleaning Mode
1. Auto Cleaning
The RoboVac robot vacuum selects the optimal cleaning route, automatically switching between cleaning modes until the entire cleaning is completed. This cleaning mode is used most often.
Press the button on the RoboVac robot vacuum body or on the remote control to start cleaning in automatic mode.
- The RoboVac robot vacuum automatically returns to the charging station when the battery level is low or when cleaning is completed.
- When turned on, the RoboVac robot vacuum starts in Auto cleaning mode by default.
BoostIQ™ Function
When the BoostIQ™ function is activated, the suction power of the RoboVac robot vacuum automatically increases when the device detects that higher power is required for optimal cleaning. The BoostIQ™ function is ideal for cleaning thick carpets and soiled surfaces, reducing overall cleaning time but increasing noise levels. If you are concerned about the noise caused by the BoostIQ™ function, you can disable it.
This function is only activated in "Auto" and "Single Room cleaning" modes.
Press the button multiple times on the remote control in "Auto" or "Single Room cleaning" mode to adjust the suction power.
- The corresponding icon will appear on the remote control display.
Designation | Suction Power |
---|---|
Standard | Standard suction power |
BoostIQ | Automatic switching between standard and increased suction power (default) |
Max | Maximum suction power |
The next time the RoboVac robot vacuum is turned on in "Auto" and "Single Room cleaning" modes, the previously set suction power level will be activated.
2. Spot Cleaning
In Spot Cleaning mode, the RoboVac robot vacuum intensively cleans a specific area for 2 minutes in a spiral pattern. This mode is convenient for cleaning heavily soiled areas. The RoboVac robot vacuum will finish cleaning after two minutes in this mode.
Press the button on the remote control to activate Spot Cleaning mode.
3. Edge Cleaning
The RoboVac robot vacuum moves slower when it detects a wall and then follows the wall for thorough edge cleaning. In Edge Cleaning mode, the RoboVac robot vacuum operates for 20 minutes, after which it returns to the charging station.
Press the button on the remote control to activate Edge Cleaning mode.
4. Single Room Cleaning
In Single Room cleaning mode, the RoboVac robot vacuum intensively cleans a specific room for 30 minutes. This mode is used when cleaning is required in only one room. You need to limit the movement perimeter of the RoboVac robot vacuum within the room by closing the door.
Press the button on the remote control to activate Single Room cleaning mode.
5. Manual Control
Using the arrow buttons on the remote control, you can manually control the RoboVac robot vacuum to clean a specific area.
