Before using the appliance for the first time, please read the operating instructions and safety information provided.
Configure Home Connect
Tip: Connect the appliance to a mobile device. All settings can be conveniently made via the Home Connect app.
- Scan the following QR code. With the QR code, the Home Connect app can be installed and the appliance connected.

Water Hardness Adjustment
Overview of Water Hardness Settings
Here you will find an overview of the values that can be set for the water hardness. The operating instructions include a table with units for each country.

Adjusting the Water Softener
- Press [Setup button].
- To open the basic settings, press and hold the [Setup button] for 3 seconds.
Hxx appears on the display.
"set" appears on the display. - Press [Start button] repeatedly until the corresponding water hardness level is set.
- Press and hold the [Setup button] for 3 seconds to save the settings.
Adding Special Salt
To prevent damage to the appliance, fill the special salt reservoir immediately before starting the program.
- Unscrew the cap of the special salt reservoir and remove it.
- Before first use: completely fill the reservoir with water.

- Add special salt to the reservoir. This will displace and flush out the water in the reservoir. Never add detergent.
- Place the cap on the reservoir and turn it to close.
Adding Rinse Aid
- Press the tab on the rinse aid dispenser lid and lift it.
- Add rinse aid up to the maximum fill mark.
- Close the rinse aid dispenser lid. The lid clicks shut audibly.

Programs
The program data are values obtained in a laboratory according to European standard EN 60436. The consumption values are indicative (except for Eco) and depend on the program and additional function selected. If the rinse aid system is switched off or there is insufficient rinse aid, the wash cycle duration will vary.

Note: The "Silence 50°" program is suitable for overnight operation: with a long duration, it is particularly quiet.
Adding Detergent
- Add detergent to the dry detergent compartment.
- Close the detergent compartment lid. The lid clicks shut audibly.

How it Works
- Load the dishes.
- Only wash dishwasher-safe dishes.
- Remove food residue from the dishes.
- Check that the spray arms can rotate freely.
- Add detergent.
- Switch on the appliance [Power symbol].
- Select the program.
- Start the program [Play symbol].
- Once the program has finished, unload the dishes.
- To cancel the program, press and hold the [Reset button] for approx. 4 seconds. The program will be interrupted and will end after approx. 1 minute.
Cleaning the Filters
- Check after every wash cycle if dirt has accumulated in the filters.
- Turn the coarse filter clockwise and remove the filter system.
- Pull the microfilter downwards.
- Press the retaining tabs and pull the coarse filter upwards.
- Clean the filter elements under running water.
- Reassemble the filter system.
- Insert the filter system into the appliance and turn the coarse filter clockwise. Ensure the arrow markings are aligned.

Cleaning the Spray Arms
Clean the ceiling spray arm according to the operating instructions.
- Unscrew the upper spray arm and pull it downwards from its mount.
- Pull the lower spray arm upwards.
- Check the spray nozzles for blockages under running water and remove any foreign objects if necessary.
- Reattach the lower spray arm. The spray arm clicks into place audibly.
- Reattach the upper spray arm and screw it on.

Cleaning the Drain Pump
- Disconnect the appliance from the power supply.
- Remove the filter system.
- Drain any existing water.
- Pry off the pump cover with a spoon and hold it by the edge.
- Lift the pump cover by tilting it inwards and remove it.
- Remove food residue and foreign objects from the impeller.
- Replace the pump cover and press it down. The pump cover clicks into place audibly.
- Reassemble the filter system.

Troubleshooting Minor Faults
Fault E:32-00 or water inlet indicator lights up
Cause/Solution:
- Water inlet hose is kinked. Install the hose so it is free of kinks.
- Water tap is closed. Open the water tap.
- Water tap is seized or calcified. Open the water tap. The water flow rate must be at least 10 l/min when the tap is open.
- Filters in the AquaStop or inlet hose connection are blocked.
- Switch off the appliance.
- Unplug the power cord.
- Turn off the water tap.
- Unscrew the water connection.
- Remove the filter from the water inlet hose.
- Clean the filter.
- Insert the filter into the water inlet hose.
- Screw the water connection back on.
- Check the water connection for leaks.
- Connect the power supply.
- Switch on the appliance.
Fault E:61-02 lights up alternately
Cause/Solution:
- Drain pump is blocked. Clean the drain pump.
- Drain pump cover is loose. Secure the drain pump cover correctly.
Fault E:92-40 lights up alternately
Cause/Solution:
- Filters are dirty or blocked. Clean the filters.
Food residue adhering to dishes
Cause/Solution:
- Dishes are loaded too closely or the basket is overloaded.
- Load dishes so there is sufficient space between them. Water jets must reach dish surfaces.
- Ensure dishes do not touch each other.
- Spray arm rotation is blocked. Load dishes so they do not impede spray arm rotation.
- Spray nozzles are blocked. Clean the spray arms.
- Filters are blocked. Clean the filters.
- Filters are incorrectly inserted or not engaged.
- Insert filters correctly.
- Engage filters.
- An insufficiently intensive wash program has been selected. Select a more intensive wash program.
Veils on glasses, metallic-looking glasses, and cutlery
Cause/Solution:
- Rinse aid setting is too high. Adjust rinse aid to a lower level.
- Rinse aid is empty. Refill rinse aid.
Rust marks on cutlery
Cause/Solution:
- Cutlery is not corrosion-resistant. This often affects knife blades. Use stainless steel cutlery. Cutlery also rusts if washed together with already rusted items. Do not wash rusted items in the dishwasher.
Detergent residue in the detergent compartment or collection tray
Cause/Solution:
- Spray arms are blocked by dishes, and detergent is not being dispensed. Ensure spray arms are not blocked and can rotate freely.
All LEDs light up, flash, or the wash program does not continue
Cause/Solution:
- The electronic system has detected a fault. Press and hold the main switch button for approx. 4 seconds. The appliance will reset and restart.
