Water Hardness Settings Overview
Here is an overview of the settable values for water hardness. A table with country-specific units is available in the user manual.

Regulating the Water Softener
- Press the button.
- To open the basic settings, press and hold the Setup button for 3 seconds.
- The display shows Hxx.
- The display shows Set.
- Press the Start button until the correct water hardness level is set.
- To save the settings, press and hold the Setup button for 3 seconds.
Adding Special Salt
To prevent damage to the appliance, only fill the special salt container immediately before starting the program.
- Unscrew the lid of the special salt container and remove it.
- For first-time use: Fill the container completely with water.
- Pour special salt into the container. Water will overflow and drain out. Never add detergent.
- Screw the lid back on the container and close it.
Adding Rinse Aid
- Press the catch on the rinse aid dispenser lid and lift it.
- Add rinse aid up to the max marking.
- Close the rinse-aid dispenser lid. The lid clicks into place.
Programs
Program data are laboratory values according to European standard EN 60436. Consumption values are indicative values (except for Eco) and depend on the selected program and any additional functions. If the rinse aid system is deactivated or no rinse aid is available, the running time will change.

Adding Detergent
- Pour the detergent into the dry detergent compartment.
- Close the lid of the detergent compartment. The lid clicks into place.
Operation
- Load the dishes. Only wash dishwasher-safe dishes. Remove coarse food residue from dishes. Ensure that the spray arms can rotate freely.
- Add detergent.
- Switch on the appliance.
- Set the program.
- Start the program.
- Remove the dishes at the end of the program.
- To interrupt the program, press and hold the Reset button for approx. 4 seconds. The program will be interrupted and will end after approx. 1 minute.
Cleaning the Filters
- After every wash, check the filters for residue.
- Turn the coarse filter counterclockwise and remove the filter system.
- Remove the microfilter by pulling it downwards.
- Compress the retaining tabs and pull the coarse filter upwards.
- Wash the filter elements under running water.
- Reassemble the filter system.
- Insert the filter system into the appliance and turn the coarse filter clockwise. Ensure that the arrows point towards each other.
Cleaning the Spray Arms
- Unscrew the upper spray arm and detach it by pulling downwards.
- Pull the lower spray arm upwards.
- Check under running water that the spray nozzles of the spray arms are not clogged and remove any foreign objects.
- Insert the lower spray arm. The spray arm clicks into place.
- Insert the upper spray arm and screw it on tightly.
Cleaning the Drain Pump
- Disconnect the appliance from the power supply.
- Remove the filter system.
- Drain any water.
- Using a spoon, lift the pump cover by the rib.
- Lift the pump cover obliquely inwards and remove it.
- Remove food residue and foreign objects from the impeller area.
- Insert the pump cover and press it down. The pump cover clicks into place.
- Reassemble the filter system.
Troubleshooting
Fault | Cause and troubleshooting |

E:32-00 lights up alternately or the water supply indicator lights up. | The supply hose is kinked. ► Lay the supply hose without kinks. The water tap is closed. ► Open the water tap. The water tap is blocked or calcified. ► Open the water tap. With the water supply open, the flow rate must be at least 10 l/min. The filters in the water supply hose or AquaStop are clogged. 1. Switch off the appliance. 2. Disconnect the power plug. 3. Close the water tap. 4. Unscrew the water connection. 5. Remove the filter from the supply hose. 6. Clean the filter. 7. Insert the filter into the supply hose. 8. Connect the water connection. 9. Check the water connection for leaks. 10. Restore the power supply. 11. Switch on the appliance. |
E:61-02 lights up alternately. | The drain pump is blocked. ► Clean the drain pump. The cover of the drain pump is loose ► Secure the cover of the drain pump correctly. |
E:92-40 lights up alternately. | The filters are dirty or blocked. ► Clean the filters. Food residue on the dishes. Dishes are packed too tightly or the basket is too full. 1. Load the dishes leaving sufficient space between them. The water jets must reach the surface of the dishes. 2. Avoid contact points. The rotation of the spray arms is blocked. Load the dishes so that the rotation of the spray arms is not obstructed. The spray nozzles of the spray arms are blocked. ► Clean the spray arms. The filters are dirty. ► Clean the filters. The filters are inserted incorrectly and/or not locked. 1. Insert the filters correctly. 2. Lock the filters. A wash program that is too weak has been selected. ► Select a more powerful wash program. |
Removable streaks are visible on glasses, metallic-looking glasses, and cutlery. | The rinse aid dosage is set too high. ► Set the rinse aid system to a lower level. No rinse aid has been added. ► Add rinse aid. |
Rust marks on cutlery. | The cutlery is not sufficiently resistant to oxidation. Knife blades are often affected more. ► Use stainless steel cutlery. Cutlery oxidizes even when washed with oxidizing items. ► Do not wash oxidizing parts together. |
