Assembly Manual

Assembly Preparation

Please check local building codes regarding footings, location, and other requirements before beginning construction. Study and understand this owner's manual for important information and helpful tips for easier and more enjoyable assembly.

Review all instructions and appropriate information before you begin, and make sure to follow the step sequence carefully for successful results.

Flooring Base

The site must be prepared so that the base of the shed is level all around, requiring verification with a spirit level. The base can be constructed from treated timber or concrete to prevent moisture ingress. The shed is not designed for direct construction on lawn, as the ground will become muddy during rainy days. If a concrete pad is made, it should slope towards the edges to prevent water ingress. Allow adequate drying time for any concrete or cement before building the shed on top. Bases can also be constructed from bricks, blocks, or mounted on a concrete pad. Bricks or blocks should be cemented onto firm, level concrete footings, and the shed frame drilled and screwed to the base.

Parts and Parts List

Before starting, separate and identify all parts and hardware to ensure you have all necessary components. Do not attempt assembly if parts are missing, as a partially assembled building can be seriously damaged by light winds.

Safety First

Safety is paramount during assembly:

  • Select a dry and calm day for assembly. Teamwork (two or more people) is required.
  • Wear safety gloves, eye protection, and long sleeves to prevent injury. Pay attention to sharp edges on some parts.
  • Keep children and pets away from the construction site.
  • Never concentrate your total weight on the roof. Use a step ladder safely.

Care & Maintenance

  • Keep the shed clean with a soft cloth, using water if necessary.
  • Keep door tracks clear of dirt and debris to ensure easy sliding.
  • Clean snow with necessary tools to ensure safe entry. Heavy snow can cause collapse; ensure safety before entering.
  • The shed is intended for storing items, not for living.
