Assembly Preparation
Please check local building codes regarding footings, location, and other requirements before beginning construction. Study and understand this owner's manual for important information and helpful tips for easier and more enjoyable assembly.
Instructions for Assembly:
Review all instructions and appropriate information before you begin. Make sure to follow the step sequence carefully for successful results.
Flooring Base
The site must be prepared so that the base of the shed is level all around, requiring verification with a spirit level. The base can be constructed from treated timber or concrete to prevent moisture ingress. The shed is not designed to be built directly on lawn, as the ground can become muddy during rainy days. If a concrete pad is used, it should slope towards the edges to prevent water ingress. Allow adequate drying time for any concrete or cement before building the shed on top. Bases can also be constructed from bricks or blocks, or mounted on a concrete pad. Bricks or blocks should be cemented onto firm, level concrete footings, and the frame should be drilled and screwed to the base.
Parts and Parts List
Before starting, separate and identify all parts and hardware to ensure you have everything needed for your building. Do not attempt to assemble if parts are missing, as a partially assembled building can be seriously damaged by light winds.
Safety First
- Select a dry and calm day for assembly. Teamwork (two or more people) is required. ????
- Wear safety gloves ?, eye protection, and long sleeves to prevent injury. Pay attention to sharp edges on some parts.
- Keep children and pets away from the construction site. ?
- Never concentrate your total weight on the roof. Use a step ladder ? safely.
Care & Maintenance
- Keep the shed clean with a soft cloth, using water if necessary.
