Charging and First Ride
Charging
Your scooter is fully charged when the LED on the charger changes from red to green. The scooter has a charge protection system that automatically stops charging once fully charged. However, it is not recommended to charge your scooter for more than 24 hours consecutively. Do not connect the charger if the charging port is wet. Keep the charging port closed when not charging.
First Ride
When the scooter starts to roll, place both feet on the deck and press the accelerator pedal (the pedal engages once the rolling speed exceeds 4.8 km/h).
Riding Basics
[Visual: Person wearing helmet and knee pads.] Wear a helmet and knee pads to prevent injuries while learning to ride.
- Turn on the device and check the power indicator.
- Place one foot on the deck and push off with the other foot.
- As the scooter starts rolling, place both feet on the deck and accelerate (the accelerator engages once the rolling speed exceeds 4.8 km/h).
- When you release the accelerator, the kinetic energy recovery system (KERS) automatically applies gentle braking. Use the brake lever for sudden stops.
- Lean your body in the direction of travel while turning the handlebar slowly.
Safety Instructions
- [Visual: Scooter in rain.] Do not ride in the rain.
- [Visual: Scooter riding over uneven terrain.] Maintain a moderate or low speed (5 km/h) when riding over speed bumps, elevator thresholds, bumpy roads, or other uneven surfaces. Bend your knees slightly to adapt to these surfaces.
- [Visual: Scooter near obstacles.] Be aware of doors, elevators, and other overhead obstacles.
- [Visual: Scooter descending a slope.] Do not accelerate when riding downhill.
- [Visual: Person walking next to scooter.] Do not press the accelerator when walking alongside the scooter.
- [Visual: Scooter maintaining distance from an obstacle.] Always keep a distance from obstacles.
Dangerous Actions (Do Not Attempt!)
- [Visual: Scooter with bags attached to the handlebars.] Do not hang bags or other heavy objects on the handlebar.
- [Visual: Rider with both feet on deck.] Always keep both feet on the deck.
- [Visual: Scooter on a road with cars and pedestrians.] Do not ride on roadways or in residential areas where both vehicles and pedestrians are permitted.

- [Visual: Scooter approaching a set of stairs.] Do not attempt to ride up or down stairs or jump over obstacles.
The E9 MAX electric scooter is a recreational device. However, when used in public areas, it is considered a vehicle and is subject to all the dangers vehicles face. For your safety, follow the instructions in this manual and comply with traffic laws and regulations set by governments and supervisory authorities.
Be aware that risks cannot be entirely eliminated, as others may violate traffic rules or ride carelessly, exposing you to traffic accidents similar to walking or cycling. The faster the scooter goes, the longer it takes to stop. On slippery surfaces, the scooter may skid, lose balance, and even fall. Therefore, it is important to exercise caution, maintain appropriate speed and distance, especially in unfamiliar areas.
Respect pedestrian priority. Do not startle pedestrians, especially children, while riding. If riding behind pedestrians, ring your bell to give a warning and slow down to pass on the left (applicable in countries where vehicles drive on the right). When passing pedestrians, keep to the right at a low speed. When passing pedestrians, maintain the lowest speed or dismount.
Folding and Carrying
[Visual: Diagram illustrating the folding and unfolding mechanism of the scooter.]
- Ensure the scooter is turned off. To fold, unlock the folding mechanism and bend the handlebar stem to hook it onto the buckle on the rear fender.
- To unfold, press the bell release to detach it from the buckle, raise the handlebar, and lock the folding structure.
Follow the safety instructions in the manual carefully. Isinwheel is not liable for property damage, personal injury, accidents, legal disputes, or other conflicts arising from actions that violate the user instructions.
Do not lend your scooter to people who are unfamiliar with its operation. If lending to friends, please take responsibility for ensuring they know how to operate it and wear safety equipment.
Check the scooter before each use. If you notice loose parts, low battery warnings, excessive wear, strange noises, malfunctions, or other abnormal conditions, do not ride. WARNING – Fire Hazard – No user-serviceable parts.
Disc Brake Adjustment
To adjust disc brake sensitivity: You will need the Allen key to loosen the screw on the caliper arm.
- If the disc brake is too sensitive, turn the disc brake caliper arm slightly downwards. Then, reinstall the screw and tighten it onto the brake cable anchor.
- If the disc brake cannot stop the scooter, turn the disc brake caliper arm slightly upwards. Then, reinstall the screw onto the brake cable anchor and tighten it.
- Note: The disc brake may squeak during the break-in period. This is normal and does not affect the brake's function or performance.
To remove disc brake noise:
First, ensure the scooter is turned off. For easier operation, we recommend placing the scooter on a workbench.
- Loosen two screws on the caliper (not the screw on the caliper arm).
- Adjust the position of the disc brake caliper so that the brake disc is centered between the two brake pads.
- Ensure the brake disc does not touch the brake pads.
- Hold the disc brake caliper in the desired position, then tighten the screws on the caliper.
Daily Care and Maintenance
Cleaning and Storage
If you see stains on the scooter's body, wipe them with a damp cloth. If stains cannot be scrubbed off, apply some toothpaste, brush with a toothbrush, and then wipe with a damp cloth.
Notes:
- Do not clean the scooter with alcohol, gasoline, kerosene, or other corrosive and volatile chemical solvents to avoid severe damage.
- Do not wash the board with a high-pressure washer. During cleaning, ensure the scooter is turned off, the charging cable is unplugged, and the rubber cover is closed, as water ingress can lead to electric shock or other serious problems. When the scooter is not in use, store it in a dry and cool room.
- Do not leave it outdoors for extended periods. Excessive sunlight, overheating, and undercooling accelerate battery life.
Battery Maintenance
- Use original batteries; using other models or brands may lead to safety issues.
- Do not touch the contacts. Do not disassemble or puncture the casing. Keep contacts away from metal objects to avoid short circuits, which can lead to battery damage or even injury and death.
- Use the original power adapter to avoid possible damage or fires.
- Improper handling of used batteries can cause enormous environmental damage. To protect the environment, please follow local regulations for the proper disposal of used batteries.
- Charge the battery fully after each use to extend its lifespan.
Storage and Disposal
- Please try to store the scooter in a cool and dry place between -1°C and 40°C. In extremely humid environments, condensation or water accumulation inside the scooter can occur, quickly damaging the battery or casing materials. Store indoors when not in use.
- In daily use, try to avoid recharging the scooter after the battery is completely discharged. If the battery is low, charge it as soon as possible.
- Please charge the scooter every two months to protect the battery.
