Riding Notice
The iSinwheel X1 electric scooter is intended as a leisure device. However, in public areas, it is treated as a vehicle and is subject to the same risks. Always follow manual instructions and local traffic laws and regulations.
Understand that risks cannot be entirely avoided. Others may violate traffic regulations, and you are exposed to road accidents. The faster the scooter, the longer it takes to stop. Smooth surfaces can lead to slips and falls. Exercise caution, maintain proper speed and distance, especially in unfamiliar areas.
Pedestrian Interaction:
- Respect pedestrians' right of way. Avoid startling them, especially children.
- When approaching pedestrians from behind, ring your bell to alert them and pass on their left (in countries where vehicles drive on the right).
- When crossing paths with pedestrians, keep to the right at a low speed.
- When driving across pedestrian areas, maintain the lowest speed or dismount.
Closely follow all safety instructions. iSinwheel is not liable for financial losses, injuries, accidents, legal disputes, or conflicts resulting from actions that violate user instructions.
Do not lend your scooter to individuals unfamiliar with its operation. If lending, ensure the borrower knows how to operate it and wears safety gear.
Pre-Ride Check:
Check the scooter before each use. Stop riding if you notice loose parts, low battery alerts, excessive wear, strange sounds, or malfunctions.
WARNING: Risk of Fire. No User Serviceable Parts.
Charging
The scooter is fully charged when the charger's LED indicator turns green from red. Charging protection automatically cuts off charging when full. Do not charge for more than 24 hours continuously. Do not connect the charger if the charging port is wet. Keep the charging port closed when not in use.
First Ride
Follow these steps for your first ride:
- Press and hold the power switch for 1-3 seconds to turn on the LCD display.
- Within 5 seconds of powering on, short-press the power switch to toggle between zero start and kick-to-go start modes. The default is kick-to-go.
- Zero Start: After powering on, press the accelerator, and the motor will engage, moving the scooter forward. The throttle works even when the scooter is stationary.
- Kick-and-Go Start: With this mode enabled, push off with your foot to gain momentum before the throttle operates.
- Riding Mode Selection: Within 5 seconds of powering on, short-press the power button to cycle through ECO (low speed), MID (middle speed), and HIGH (high speed) modes. ECO is the default.
Riding Basics
Safety Gear: Always wear a helmet, elbow pads, and knee pads, whether you are a beginner or an experienced rider.
- Turn on the power and check the battery level indicator.
- Place one foot on the deck and the other on the ground. Push off with the foot on the ground to start moving.
- Once the scooter gains momentum (above 3 mph), place both feet on the deck and press the accelerator.
- To slow down, release the accelerator; the kinetic energy recovery system (KERS) will engage for gentle braking. For sudden stops, squeeze the brake lever.
- To turn, tilt your body slightly in the desired direction and gently turn the handlebar.
Safety Instructions
- Do not ride in the rain.
- Maintain a medium or low speed (approx. 5 mph) when crossing speed bumps, elevator sills, uneven roads, or other rough surfaces. Bend your knees slightly to absorb impacts.
- Be aware of overhead obstacles like doors and elevators.
- Do not accelerate when going downhill.
- Do not press the accelerator when walking alongside the scooter.
- Always steer clear of obstacles.
- Do not hang bags or heavy items on the handlebar.
- Keep both feet on the deck at all times.
- Always keep your hands on the handlebar.
- Do not touch the disc brake, as it can become hot.
Dangerous Actions (No Attempting!)
- Do not ride in traffic lanes or residential areas where both vehicles and pedestrians are present.
- Do not turn the handlebar violently during high-speed riding.
- Do not ride through puddles deeper than 20mm.
- Do not ride with another person, including children.
- Do not ride up or down stairs, or jump over obstacles.
- Do not place your feet on the rear mudguard.
Disc Brake Adjustment
Adjusting Sensitivity:
Use a hex wrench to remove the screws on the rocker.
- If the disc brake is too sensitive, rotate the disc brake rocker down slightly. Reinstall and tighten the screws on the brake cable core.
- If the disc brake cannot stop effectively, rotate the disc brake rocker up slightly. Reinstall and tighten the screws on the brake cable core.
Note: The disc brake may squeak during initial use until it is broken in. This is normal and does not affect performance.
Removing Disc Brake Noise:
Ensure the scooter is turned off. For easier operation, place the scooter on a desk.
- Loosen the two screws on the brake caliper (not the screws on the rocker).
- Adjust the position of the disc brake caliper so the brake disc is centered between the two brake pads.
- Ensure the brake disc does not touch the brake pads when not engaged.
- Hold the brake caliper in the adjusted position and re-tighten the screws.
Daily Care and Maintenance
Cleaning and Storage
Wipe the scooter body with a damp cloth for stains. For stubborn stains, use toothpaste and a toothbrush, then wipe with a damp cloth.
Notes:
- Do not use alcohol, gasoline, kerosene, or other harsh solvents, as they can cause damage.
- Do not wash the deck with high-pressure water.
- When cleaning, ensure the scooter is off, the charger is unplugged, and the charging port flap is closed to prevent water ingress, which could cause electric shock or other serious issues.
- Store the scooter indoors in a dry, cool place when not in use. Avoid prolonged outdoor exposure, as sunlight, extreme heat, or cold can shorten battery life.
Battery Maintenance
- Use original battery packs. Using other models or brands may pose safety risks.
- Do not touch battery contacts. Do not dismantle or puncture the casing. Keep contacts away from metal objects to prevent short circuits, which can cause damage or injury.
- Use the original power adapter to prevent damage or fire.
- Proper disposal of used batteries is crucial for environmental protection. Follow local regulations.
- Fully charge the battery after each use to prolong its lifespan.
Storage and Disposal
- Store the scooter in a cool, dry place between 14°F and 104°F (-10°C and 40°C). Humid environments can cause condensation and damage the battery. Devices are not intended for use above 2000m elevation. Prolonged exposure to UV rays, rain, and elements can damage enclosure materials; store indoors.
- In daily use, try to recharge the scooter after the battery is nearly exhausted. Charge it as soon as possible if the battery level is low.
- Charge the scooter every other month to preserve battery health.
