Neewer MS60C RGB Video Light User Manual

This document provides instructions for the Neewer MS60C mini RGB video light.

Safety Notes

To ensure the safety of you and others, please read the following safety advice before using this product. Please pay attention to the precautions highlighted in the manual. The product should be checked prior to use and not used if damaged.

  • Do not place flammable materials near the constant video light. ??
  • Do not use in the rain, a humid environment, or other adverse weather conditions. ?️?

  • Keep the working environment clear of cables. Keep this product out of reach of children and pets. ????

  • Do not use chemicals or liquids to clean the lamp. Do not immerse any part of the device in liquid. ???

  • The constant video light will heat up during use. Do not touch with your hands. ??️?

About this Product

MS60C is a mini RGB video light with compact look and dual power supply. Featuring CCT bi-color mode, HSI colored mode, FX special effect mode, and RGBCW LED configuration, the light consists of 5 groups of independently controlled LED beads. Portable and adaptive, it is widely applicable to video recording, studio photography, still-life photography, interview lighting, etc.

  • 1. Reflector: The main light-diffusing dome.

2. Control Panel Illustration

  • 1. Display: Shows current settings and status.
  • 2. MODE Dial/Button:
    • Rotate: Adjusts light's brightness.
    • Short press: Switches between modes (CCT, HSI, FX, RGBCW).
    • Long press: Shows the light's internal temperature.
  • 3. -INT+ Dial/Button:
    • Short press: Switches between 2.4G and Infinity connection types.
    • Long press: Adjusts channel (CH).
  • 4. Power Jack: DC 20V/3.6A input.
  • 5. SET Dial/Button:
    • Rotate: Changes settings or values.
    • Short press: Moves to the next item or activates button lock.
    • Long press: Powers the light on/off.
  • 6. BT-RST Button: Long press combination key (with another button, implied) to reset Infinity mode.

Display Illustration

The display shows various modes and settings:

CCT Mode Display

  • 1. Channel: Displays the current channel (e.g., CH88).
  • 2. Brightness: Shows the current brightness level (0-100%).
  • 3. CCT Mode: Indicates the Color Temperature mode.
  • 4. Button Lock: Icon indicating buttons are locked.
  • 5. Power Supply: Icon indicating power source status.
  • 6. Color Temperature: Displays the color temperature in Kelvin (e.g., 3600K).
  • 7. GM value: Displays the Green/Magenta compensation value (e.g., +50).

FX Mode Display

  • 8. Bluetooth: Icon indicating Bluetooth status.
  • 9. Scene: Displays the selected FX scene number (e.g., F03).
  • 10. FX Mode (Special Effect): Indicates the FX mode is active.
  • 11. Remaining Battery Level: Icon showing battery status.
  • 12. Frequency: Displays the frequency for FX scenes (e.g., FRQ: 06).
  • 13. Brightness: Shows the intensity level (e.g., INT: 100).

HSI Mode Display

  • 14. HSI Mode: Indicates the Hue, Saturation, Intensity mode.
  • 15. Hue: Displays the hue value (0-360).
  • 16. Saturation: Displays the saturation value (0-100).

RGBCW Mode Display

  • 17. RGBCW Mode: Indicates the Red, Green, Blue, Cold White, Warm White mode.
  • 18. Red: Displays the Red channel value (0-255).
  • 19. Green: Displays the Green channel value (0-255).
  • 20. Blue: Displays the Blue channel value (0-255).
  • 21. Cold Color: Displays the Cold White channel value (0-255).
  • 22. Warm Color: Displays the Warm White channel value (0-255).

How to Assemble

1. Installing the studio light

  1. Push the latch toward the back, turn the protective cover counterclockwise until the tabs are aligned with the gaps, and then remove the protective cover.
  2. Align the tabs on the reflector with the holes, push the reflector in and rotate clockwise until the reflector snaps into place.
  3. Insert the bracket screw into the light's bottom screw hole, then rotate the bracket securing knob counterclockwise to firmly lock it in place.
  4. Connect the mounting bracket to a light stand, then rotate the Stand Securing Knob to hold securely.
  5. Rotate the Angle Adjustment Lever to loosen, then adjust the studio light to a desired angle and tighten the lever again.

2. Mount the battery holder

  1. Push the Battery holder Lock up and hold until the battery holder is put into place on the bracket.
  2. Power cable connection.

Note: The light stand and battery are NOT included.

3. Installing the Bowens Mount Adapter Ring

If you need to use a Bowens type mount, you can install this Bowens Mount Adapter Ring.

Install the Bowens mount adapter ring in the right position first. The tabs will seem as if they are obstructing the Bowen's mount itself. Lift the tabs on both sides for the ring to fit. Once the tabs are completely inserted into the positioning holes of the Bowens mount, tighten the twist knob at the bottom to secure the adapter ring fully.

※ The Bowens Mount Adapter Ring and reflector should not be used at the same time.

How to Use

Powering the studio light

  • Source 1: Powered by compatible batteries. Compatible battery types: NP-F750, NP-F970.
  • Source 2: Powered by AC adapter.

Power on/off & Standby

  • Long press the [ON/OFF] button to turn the studio light on/off.
  • Short press the [ON/OFF] button to enter or exit the standby mode.

Setting the brightness of the light

In any mode, rotate the [ -INT+ ] knob to adjust the brightness level of the light between 0 and 100%.

Adjusting the Color Temperature

  1. Short press the [MODE] knob to switch to CCT mode.
  2. Short press the [SET] button to select color temperature value, then rotate the [SET] knob to adjust color temperature between 2700K and 6500K.

Adjust red/green color compensation

  1. Short press the [MODE] knob to switch to CCT mode.
  2. Short press the [SET] button to select GM value, then rotate the [SET] knob to change red/green compensation from -50 to +50.

Scene/Frequency (FX Mode)

  1. Short press the [MODE] knob to switch to FX mode.
  2. Short press the [SET] button to change special effects. Rotate the [SET] knob to choose one of the light scenes from F01 to F17.
  3. Short press the [SET] button again to select "FRQ", then rotate the [SET] knob to set frequency between 01 and 10.

Change hue (HSI Mode)

  1. Short press the [MODE] knob to switch to HSI mode.
  2. Short press the [SET] button to select H value, then rotate the [SET] knob to adjust hue from 0 to 360.

Set saturation (HSI Mode)

  1. Short press the [MODE] knob to switch to HSI mode.
  2. Short press the [SET] button to select S value, then rotate the [SET] knob to adjust saturation from 0 to 100.

RGBCW Mode

  1. Rotate the [MODE] knob to switch to RGBCW mode.
  2. Short press the [SET] button to select R/G/B/C/W (Red/Green/Blue/Cool/Warm/White), then rotate the [SET] knob to set their value between 0 and 255.

2.4G Mode

  1. Short press the [∞/2.4G] button until the display shows "CH" value, which indicates the light has entered 2.4G mode.
  2. Long press the [∞/2.4G] button to select CH, then rotate the [SET] knob to set light channel from Channel 00 to Channel 99. Press the button again to confirm.

In 2.4G mode, you can set multiple LED lights to the same channel, such as CH88. Changing the light settings on one of the lights will result in the settings on other lights to change in sync.

Infinity Mode

Short press the [∞/2.4G] button until the display shows the "∞" symbol to indicate that the light is in Infinity mode.

Connect the NEEWER app via Bluetooth in order to control the light. For detailed instructions, please scan the QR code on the App Leaflet. When the "∞" symbol has stopped flashing on the display, the light has been successfully connected.

* Please reset Infinity mode before connecting with the App. Long press the [BT-RST] combination key to reset Infinity.

Checking the Light's internal temperature

  1. Long press the [MODE] button to check the internal temperature of the light. Short press the button to exit.
  2. Rotate the [SET] knob to switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit.

Button Lock

In any mode, long press the [SET] button to lock or unlock the buttons on the light.

Notes

  1. Do not drop the product or expose it to a strong physical impact.
  2. When using, do not look directly at the light to prevent possible damage to your eyesight.
  3. Do not place the product near inflammable or explosive materials.
  4. Do not use the product in a damp or humid environment.
  5. Do not touch the product with wet hands.
  6. Please turn off the power when not in use.
  7. If not to be used for a long period of time, the product should be kept in a ventilated, dry place away from heat sources and magnetic fields.
