Wiring Interface
The device offers various connection points:
- Power Adapter: PWR_IN, PWR_GND.
- RJ45 Port: PoE+, Sensors, INPUT, RJ45, BELL, DOORBELL.
- Security Relay: NC1, COM1, NO1, RS485_A, RS485_B, GND.
- Door Lock (DC 30V): DC+, GND, Diode, Lock Terminals. Supports connection via COM1 or COM2.
Diagrams illustrate the wiring for power, network, relay, and door lock connections.
Note on Door Lock Wiring: To protect the device from potential damage caused by over-voltage, it is recommended to wire a diode into the circuit. Connect the anode of the diode to the negative cable of the lock, and connect the cathode of the diode to the positive cable of the lock.
Installation
Step 1: Flush-mounting Box Installation
1. With a flush-mounting box in the wall
- A: According to the cable position, dig a square hole (height*width*depth=102*102*90mm) to accommodate all cables. Note: Size may need adjustment; ensure cables are routed or conduits reserved.
- B: Take out the flush-mounting box, break out needed wiring holes, and lead wires through them.
- C: Press the flush-mounting box into the square hole, ensuring it's flush with the wall surface. Fill gaps with cement or adhesive, matching the surrounding wall's decorative material. Wait for cement to dry.
- D: Fix the wall-mounting bracket on the flush-mounting box using two M4x20 crosshead screws.
2. Without a flush-mounting box in the wall
- A: Dig a square hole (height*width*depth=75*75*90mm) for cables. Note: If HDMI is not used, depth can be 70mm. Ensure cables are inside and routed.
- B: Take out the wall-mounting bracket, align its cable hole with the wall opening, and adjust to a level position.
3. Secure bracket
- A: Mark four fixing holes through the wall-mounting bracket onto the wall.
- B: Take down the wall-mounting bracket. Use a 6mm drill to make four fixing holes, each 25mm deep.
- C: Insert the plastic wall anchors into the fixing holes.
- D: Fix the wall-mounting bracket on the wall with four ST4x20 crosshead screws.
Step 2: Device Mounting
- A: Take out the main unit. Check that the two M4 set screws at the bottom are properly positioned (flush with or slightly protruding from the bottom surface). Do not tighten them inward.
- B: Connect all cables to the device.
- C: Hold the main unit, tilt the bottom outward. Slide the upper hooks into the top hooks of the wall-mounting bracket. Move the bottom backward until it fits flush against the bracket.
- D: Use the Allen wrench to tighten the two M4 set screws.
- E: The installation is completed. Remove the protective film.
Application Network Topology
The network topology shows a Door Phone connected via PoE to a network switch. Multiple X937 units are also connected via PoE. A PC (third party) can also be connected to the network.
