Operation and Functions

Controls and Display

The handlebar features a display and control buttons:

  • Display: Shows battery level, current speed, assist level, gear indicator, headlight status, Bluetooth status, and error codes.
  • On/Off Button: Press and hold for 2 seconds to turn the bike on or off.
  • +/- Buttons: Used to adjust the assist level (gear) and navigate menus.
  • Boost Button (B): Press and hold to activate Boost mode for temporary extra power, useful for hills or challenging terrain.
  • Brake Levers: Left lever controls the front brake, right lever controls the rear brake.
  • Gear Shifter: Used to change assist levels.
  • Bell: For signaling.
  • Headlight Switch: Press and hold the '+' button for approximately 2 seconds to turn the lights on/off. This also adjusts instrument brightness.

Assist Modes

The bike offers multiple assist levels (gears). Use the '+' or '-' buttons to select the desired level. Level 1 is for flat terrain, and higher levels provide more assistance on inclines.

Note: When the bike is in PAS (Pedal Assist System) mode, it provides power based on pedaling, but can also be ridden like a normal bike without power.

Braking Instructions

The left brake lever controls the front wheel, and the right lever controls the rear wheel. For effective braking, apply the rear brake first, then the front brake. ⚠️ Do not brake solely with the front brake, as this can destabilize the bike and cause accidents.

Folding the Bike

The bike can be folded for easier storage and transport. Follow the specific steps shown in the diagrams to fold the handlebar stem and the main frame.

Battery Management

  • Battery Removal: Unlock the battery using the key and slide it out from its compartment.
  • Charging: Two charging methods are available: directly on the bike or after removing the battery. Connect the charger to the battery and a power outlet. The charging indicator light shows the status: Red = Charging, Green = Fully Charged, Blinking Green = Ready to charge, Blinking Red = Error. Charging time is approximately 3-4 hours.
  • Battery Activation: For the first use, charge the battery fully. After the green light blinks, the red light will stay on. Wait about 10 seconds for activation to complete. It is recommended to charge for an additional 30 minutes for the first ride to ensure longer range.

User Settings

You can customize settings such as display units (km/h, mph), brightness, and activate/reset a password. Access these settings by pressing and holding the '+' and '-' buttons simultaneously. Follow the on-screen prompts to navigate and adjust options.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting

Maintenance and Self-Inspection

Regularly check tire pressure. Inspect key components like the handlebar, folding mechanism, saddle, seatpost, chain, wheels, and brakes for proper function and tightness. Lubricate the chain and derailleur every two months with motor oil, and the axle bearings and fork every six months with calcium-based grease.

Motor Maintenance: Keep the motor clean. Avoid water ingress (IPX5 rating). Do not use high-pressure water jets or immerse the motor in water. Do not open the motor housing.

Battery Maintenance: Charge the battery regularly. Avoid storing the battery for extended periods without charging. Do not expose batteries to open flames, heat sources, or direct sunlight at high temperatures. Do not attempt to disassemble the battery.
