Fitting Instructions
- Remove the boot floor covering and side trim.
- Remove the rear bumper: locate and remove 6 nuts inside the boot on the rear panel, and 3 clips around each of the wheel arches. Temporarily remove the foam packer from inside the bumper. Bend the panel clips securing the central bumper trim and remove the trim.
- Cut a slot from the lower edge of the bumper, measuring 140mm wide by 60mm deep. (Refer to diagram for visual guidance).
- Using the existing bolts (labeled X in diagrams), loosely replace original bumper brackets with item E (refer to sketch for correct positioning). Replace the foam packer.
- Locate item C (Side Arms) into each chassis mounting point. Using items H (M10 bolts/washers) and J (10x30 flat washers), loosely bolt item C and item D (Angle Brackets) into position.
- Using items H (M10 bolts/washers) and G (M12 bolts/nuts/washers), with items J (10x30 flat washers) and K (12x25 flat washers), loosely bolt item A (Crossmember) into place.
- Fully tighten all nuts and bolts. Ensure the towbar assembly is rigid and secure.
- Using item G (M12 bolts/nuts/washers) and item K (12x25 flat washers), refit the bumper. Align the bumper and fully tighten the original bolts (X). Refit the central bumper trim.
- Using item F (M16 bolts/nuts/washers), bolt and fully tighten item B (Extension Bar) to item A (Crossmember).
- Using item F (M16 bolts/nuts/washers), bolt the ball bracket and wiring plate (not supplied in this kit) to the mounting plate.
