WARNING

Not all roof racks can safely accommodate rooftop tents. Even if your roof rack can accommodate your rooftop tent you need to check the weight capacity of your vehicle from your vehicle manufacturer before installation.

Any elements carried on the vehicle roof can change normal vehicle handling. If you are using your car more than your tent, consider removing it to prevent accidental damage from the elements or theft. The manufacturer disclaims all responsibility in case of accidents due to improper use, wrong maintenance or not checking the tightness of the fastening hardware on the roof rack system and tent.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

The following are some helpful tips on how to clean and properly store your rooftop tent.

ROOF RACK REQUIREMENTS

Rooftop tents can be mounted to many vehicle makes and models. Before fitting, please check the load rating of your vehicle's roof is sufficient to support the weight of the tent, two people and extra gear.

Please take into consideration the weight of the rooftop tent and ensure you have checked the static and dynamic load capacity of your roof racks before mounting the tent. Rooftop tent weighs approximately 60kgs.

To avoid damage to your vehicle and rooftop tent, avoid exceeding a speed limit of 100km/h. We recommend you check the maximum speed limit for your roof racks before starting your trip.

FITTING THE ROOF TOP TENT TO YOUR ROOF RACKS

Some roof platforms allow mounting of the roof top tent directly onto the platform. Ensure you check your roof platform manufacturer before attempting to mount the roof top tent. See below for standard instructions for mounting your roof top tent with the hardware provided.

  1. With no less than four people, lift the rooftop tent onto the roof platform. Make sure the main door is facing backwards from the vehicle before attempting the lift. Centre the tent ensuring the weight is distributed evenly. Ensure the rear of the tent is flush with the vehicle so the ladder can be fitted.

  2. Secure each of the four corners with the brackets and screws provided. Each mounting point requires two 55mm M8 screws that slide into the slots on the mounting bar. Tighten the Nyloc with washer using the spanner provided. [Tool Icon]

LADDER OPERATION

The ladder maximum load rating capacity is 150kg.

Clamp the ladder onto the brackets on the rooftop tent extending each rung sequentially. Before attempting to extending the next rung pull each rung to its full extension and ensure that the locking mechanism is engaged.

Place the ladder in an upright position ready for use. To keep the ladder firmly in place, step on the bottom rung. Continue in this manner for several steps until you reach the desired height.

  2. Adjust the length of the ladder to make sure the angle is approximately 75 degrees between the ladder and the ground.

  3. To close the ladder, grasp with both hands and press the left and right switches on the lowest cross piece. Slowly collapse the ladder in the opposite sequence to opening it.
