This manual provides essential information for the safe and effective operation of your XTM Dual Air Compressor.
Product Overview
The XTM 150PSI 250LPM Dual Air Compressor is designed for 4WD and vehicle use, offering powerful and efficient tyre inflation. It features automatic thermal cut-off, circuit breaker protection, and a timer cut-off function for safety and longevity.
Image Description: The compressor unit is black and orange, featuring two cylinders, mounted on a metal base plate with rubber anti-vibration feet. It includes a 10-meter rubber air hose with an in-line pressure gauge, a pressure release button, and a quick-connect fitting. Accessories include a screw-on brass inflator, a thumb lock adaptor, and three nozzle adaptors for various inflation needs. The unit is stored in a handy carry bag.
Protection Features
Thermal Cut-Off and Circuit Breaker Protection
The XTM Dual Air Compressor is equipped with an automatic thermal cut-off protection. If the unit reaches an unsafe operating temperature, a protection circuit will activate, cutting off all power to prevent damage. Disconnect the unit from the power source and allow it to cool for approximately 15 minutes. The circuit will automatically reset when the temperature returns to a safe level. Always allow the compressor to cool before reuse. An auto-reset circuit breaker is built-in to protect against overload or short circuits.
Timer Cut-Off Protection
This compressor also features an automatic timer cut-off. After 15 minutes of continuous operation, the air compressor will automatically shut off to prevent damage.
Maintenance
- All moving parts are permanently lubricated; no additional lubrication is required.
- Before and after each use, inspect the compressor unit and hoses for signs of damage.
- Check the air filter regularly (at least every six months). Remove the cover and clean the air filter gently with mild soapy water, rinse well, and replace if worn.
Note: Tyre gauge pressure readings during operation will not be accurate. Turn off the air compressor to obtain an accurate reading.

Warnings
- Read the entire owners manual thoroughly before use.
- This air compressor operates on a 12 Volt electrical system only.
- Use extreme caution when connecting to a power source, as vehicle batteries can spark and vent explosive gases. Safety glasses are recommended.
- All parts, including the handle, hose, fittings, and compressor, generate high heat during and after operation. Allow the unit to cool before handling to avoid burns. Always use gloves.
- Only inflate tyres to the manufacturer's recommended pressure. DO NOT over-inflate tyres, as this could result in serious injury or death.
- After 5 minutes of continuous operation, allow the unit to cool before restarting. Overuse can cause damage.
- Do not use this compressor with wet hands or allow it to get wet while in use.
Operating Instructions
- Before operating, ensure you are in a safe location away from traffic. Inspect the compressor and accessories for any signs of damage. If damaged, DO NOT use and replace parts.
- Remove the compressor from the carry bag and place it on a dry, level surface near the 12 Volt power source.
- Connect the 10-meter rubber air hose to the compressor using the quick connect fitting.
- Choose your connector: the screw type is pre-attached. For the thumb lock adaptor, screw its end into the screw type connector on the air hose and ensure a good seal.
- Connect the RED battery clamp to the POSITIVE (+) post of your 12 Volt vehicle battery or power source.
- Connect the BLACK battery clamp to the NEGATIVE (-) post.
- Test connections and airflow by switching the compressor ON using the [ON/OFF switch]. Direct the hose away from yourself and others during testing.
- To inflate a tyre:
- Remove the valve cap from the tyre valve. Ensure the valve system is clean.
- Screw type connector: Screw the brass inflator onto the tyre valve until finger-tight. DO NOT use tools, as this may damage the inflator or valve system.
- Thumb lock adaptor: Press the lever down, firmly press the adaptor onto the tyre valve system to create a good seal, then release the lever.
- Remove the brass inflator or thumb lock adaptor from the tyre valve system. Refit the valve cap.
- Disconnect the battery clamps from the power source.
- Allow the air compressor to cool completely before storing it in the carry bag in a dry location.
Use extra caution when inflating small objects like bicycle tyres and sport balls. Pay close attention to the pressure gauge and be ready to stop the compressor when the manufacturer's recommended pressure is reached.
