Onity electronic locks are brilliantly designed and simple to use, accommodating properties of all sizes. They provide hotel guests with smooth and efficient check-in, enhancing convenience and operational efficiency.

The Basics of Electronic Locking Systems

An electronic lock grants access to authorized keycards at defined times/dates and records opening activity, resulting in reduced liability, enhanced hotel security, and more efficient staff management. Onity systems typically consist of:

• Locks
• Cards (non-proprietary)
• Encoder (keycard issuing station for the front desk)
• System software (optional)
• Handheld lock programmer/interrogator (for maintenance staff)

Onity off-line locks are battery-operated and easy to install/replace, eliminating the need for expensive wiring. The system allows hotels to generate their own reusable keycards, and features automatic re-keying, where a new guest check-in voids the former guest keycard, effectively providing a new lock for each guest. Masterkeying software offers management flexibility, allowing users to define who is authorized, where, and when. Staff keycards can be limited to specific shifts or days. Onity electronic locking systems also enhance hotel security; a lost master-keycard can be cancelled electronically via the Onity software. The technology features multiple levels of encryption for maximum security and peace of mind.

Keycard Technologies

• Magstripe: Performs all expected functions, re-encodable, cost-efficient, features a dent for blind or visually impaired people, non-proprietary.
• Smart: Offers higher security with a "read & write" feature for 2-way communication, "virtual on-line" system performance, non-proprietary.
• Contactless RFID: Intuitive and user-friendly, requires no card insertion, offers high-tech touch, supports multiple key formats (keycard, sticker, bracelet), ideal for spas and beach resorts, non-proprietary.

Advanced Technologies in Contactless RFID

Onity's advanced security products include RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) features, with a flexible architecture for future developments. The Trillium locks offer an additional RFID option with MIFARE® Plus technology for increased credential security. Onity RFID locks are compatible with various opening credentials in two operation modes: Classic Mode (MIFARE Ultralight, MIFARE Classic / EV1, 1K / 4K) and Plus Mode (MIFARE Ultralight C, MIFARE Plus S 2K / 4K, MIFARE Plus X 2K / 4K). New locks and encoders allow switching between MIFARE Classic and Plus modes. Onity solutions are also compatible with NFC (Near Field Communication) and BTLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) technologies, enabling mobile phone key access.

Frontdesk Systems (software & keycard encoding)

HT22i System

For magstripe and/or contactless keycards. Designed for small to medium-size properties. Features include: no PC required, powerful yet easy to use, compact encoding unit, PMS interface option, and smooth check-in with manual insertion encoder technology to reduce errors.

HT24W System

For magstripe and/or contactless keycards. A fully featured system for any property size, based on magstripe and contactless technologies. It is PC-based, Windows® compatible, ingeniously easy to use, supports virtually unlimited front-desk card issuing stations, and includes PMS and POS interfaces.

HT28 Smart System

Features dual technology locks that accept both magstripe and smart keycards. Offers "on-line" performance via the Onity revalidator, allowing smart keycards for staff and guests to use inexpensive magstripe cards. Enhances overall security and improves staff and operations management.

The Onity revalidator

Provides 90% of the power and efficiency of an on-line system at a fraction of the cost. It enables two-way communication between locks and the computer system with significantly fewer wires than traditional on-line systems. Staff keycards automatically report activity and lock status information back to the PC.

Encoding Stations

OnPoint Encoder

Features an innovative touch-screen with quick action buttons, "hot swap" modular encoding deck (insertion, motorized, or dual mag-RFID), TCP/IP connectivity, web-based technical support, and USB/SD card memory backup and USB printer support.

Standard Encoders

Examples include RFID MIFARE encoders.

Wall Readers

Available in on-line or off-line configurations for various applications such as elevators, parking areas, electric gates, swimming pools, and back offices. Available in Magstripe, Smart, and Contactless formats.

Electronic Locks

Onity locks are available with three reading technologies:

• Magstripe Lock Reader: Stand-alone, works with standard ISO/ABA magstripe cards, compatible with BTLE technology. Ensures accuracy by reading the card twice, records last 500 openings, prevents re-entry, programmable for "office-mode", features LED status lights, powered by 4 AA batteries, and has a corrosion-resistant case.
• Dual Mag-Smart Lock Reader: Stand-alone, multi-technology reader (magstripe, memory-chip, microprocessor smart cards), compatible with BTLE technology. Ensures accuracy by reading the card twice, records last 500 openings, prevents re-entry, programmable for "office-mode", features LED status lights, powered by 4 AA batteries, and has a corrosion-resistant case.
• RFID Lock Reader: Stand-alone, uses next-generation proximity technology, works with MIFARE® Classic/EV1, Plus, Ultralight, and Ultralight C technologies. Compatible with BTLE and NFC technologies. Supports multi-application and records the last 500 openings. Features LED status lights, powered by 4 AA batteries, and has a corrosion-resistant case.

ADVANCE Series: A revolutionary new locking solution featuring a unique two-piece modular design, allowing hotels to seamlessly blend locks into any decor. Developed through extensive research, it includes the "Groove & Arrow" concept for intuitive keycard insertion.

Trillium Series: A stylish and technologically advanced new lock series with a sleek design. It offers an easy upgrade path for properties with existing Onity locks, using the same footprint and door prep. Trillium locks offer enhanced credential security and superior security options, available in Magstripe or RFID, RFID with MIFARE Plus®, or RFID with DirectKey™ ready module options. Trillium and ADVANCE locks comply with CE EN14846, DIN, and BHMA standards.

Special Locks

• Outdoors Lock: A special version for outdoors, designed to withstand extreme weather environments. Offered for Trillium Mag and Trillium RFID locks in satin chrome and dark bronze finishes, combined with Onity handles.
• Glass Door Lock: Ideal for main entrance, office, meeting, or passage doors. Designed to fit Onity Trillium series electronic locks on glass doors, and suitable for other doors under 25 mm thickness.
• Sliding Door Lock: Suitable for installation on sliding doors using a specially designed mortise lock, applicable to Trillium Mag and Trillium RFID series locks.
• Electronic Lock with Panic Bar: Combines with a panic bar solution at emergency exits for higher security and control. Manufactured with high-quality materials and simple mechanisms for efficiency and long life.

Electronic Cylinders

The Onity RFID electronic cylinder is an ideal locking solution for guestroom and staff doors in small to medium-size hotels, offering convenience and high security using MIFARE® technology. Installation is quick and easy for refurbishment projects, requiring only the replacement of the mechanical lock. Features include user-friendliness, EURO mortise profile, MIFARE compatibility, standard or MAX outdoor models, software for up to 1,500 doors and 12,000 users, non-volatile memory, card event writing, auto-programmable models, fire rating, free passage mode, advanced encryption, smart sleep mode, acoustic low battery warning, and availability in different finishes, sizes, and handles. HOPPE handles and knobs are also available, featuring the SecuSan® antimicrobial option.

Wall Readers are available in off-line configuration for applications like elevators, parking areas, electric gates, swimming pools, and back offices.

Bathroom and Passage Locks

Easy to install, these locks are ideal complements to Onity electronic locks, sharing the same handle models and finishes. The bathroom lock features a convenient push-only privacy button and panic function for ease of use and security.

Electronic Locks for Lockers

OniLocker RFID Contactless Electronic Lock

Provides high security and convenience using contactless carriers (cards, wristbands). Works with RFID Mifare® (Classic/EV1) technology, enabling locker locking/unlocking by approaching the carrier to the reader. It is an ideal solution for Spa & Wellness centres, Golf clubs, Ski resorts, and Sports complexes. The system includes management software and a card/tag encoder. Features include autonomous operation (no wiring), installation on wooden and metallic doors, user and master card management, master cards to lock/unlock any locker, and compatibility with Onity RFID electronic lock range and Intellity energy savers. An optional InfoTerminal is available.

Qing Wearable Payment and Access Management System

Increase revenue and customer loyalty with Qing, the first RFID/NFC technology-based wearable payment and access management system for hotels, resorts, and cruiseships. Qing enhances the guest experience and boosts hotel results by offering personalized service packs, generating new revenue models, and providing guest profiling. It prevents fraud and provides security and comfort for payments and entry through smart bracelets that centralize all guest needs for payments and access. OS100 Digital Keypad Safe for Any Budget

An economical and functional safe, cost-effective for properties to provide to guests, protecting their valuables. Features include audit trail, mechanical key override, and an optional rental stick.

OS200 Digital Keypad Safe

A fully featured Onity electronic in-room safe with user-friendly operation and high functionality. It includes an optional power outlet and a rental module with software, allowing for audit trail printing and on-screen viewing.

OS500 Enhanced Design Digital Keypad Safe

An ideal safe for design-conscious hotels seeking maximized security and convenience. It combines popular advantages of Onity safes with a sophisticated sleek design. The OS500 series records the last 1000 operations and is available with interior light and an electronic rental mode option.

OS600 Guest Keycard Interface & Keypad Safe

An easy-to-operate model using a 4-digit code in combination with the room keycard and advanced security features like a "Non-resident master code" and audit trail. The OS600 safe interfaces seamlessly with Onity magstripe locking systems and features enhanced rental mode through keycard usage, plus an optional PMS interface.

Minibars

The Onity hospitality solutions range includes user-friendly and silent minibars. Onity minibars are backed by the leading provider of solutions for the hospitality market, with products in around 5 million rooms and 30,000 hotels worldwide. All components are sourced in Europe, following the highest quality standards.

Flexibility

Features include a reversible door, 2 sliding shelves (5 or 8 positions depending on model), and 2 adjustable racks for bottles and snacks.

Quality and Environmental Certificates

Manufactured under ISO standards, Onity minibars comply with the highest quality and environmental requirements, including TÜV, TUC GS, CE, ROHS, GOST, and ISO9001. The cooling elements are CFC, HCFC, HFC, and PFC free, making them environmentally friendly.

The Importance of Ventilation

Minibars can be easily integrated into any type of furniture, provided appropriate ventilation space is allowed. A minimum space of 400cm² is recommended for air circulation around the cooling unit.

Minibars offer the advantage of generating incremental revenue for the hotel while providing a service to the guest.

Intellity devices are intelligent energy saving devices that differentiate guest and master cards. They activate one or two relays depending on card information (e.g., lights for all valid cards, TV only for guests). Features include timed courtesy light, attractive light for easy location in the dark, no need for communication with a portable programmer, and installation in a standard electrical box. (Note: Not applicable to Intellity Basic and Intellity RFID).

OniSwitch Range

• OniSwitch Basic: Mechanical operation.
• OniSwitch Mag T3: Detects data in track 3 of magstripe cards.

Onity's wireless on-line solution avoids expensive wiring, controlling property security, managing access, and obtaining real-time information from locks without physical presence. The system reports events in real time and manages locking plans without wiring or reprogramming. It increases security and efficiency, allowing authorizations to be managed in real time. The system continues to perform even if power or network connection fails.

Off-Line Solutions

Onity EntryFlex System

An ideal electronic locking system for facilities requiring a basic solution for mechanical master keying needs. Features an audit trail of the last 500 transactions, manages up to 10,000 doors and 500 masters. Offers advantages of a virtually on-line system with 99% fewer wires than traditional systems, at a fraction of the cost. Onity dual locks feature a multi-technology reader, working with magnetic stripe and smart cards, and combine read/write capabilities with the Onity Revalidator for two-way communication.

Onity Integra3 System

A comprehensive yet easy-to-use system combining stand-alone and on-line devices. Allows facility managers to control from one to 65,000 doors and 65,000 users. Supports both magnetic-stripe and Smart technologies, and can work with proximity readers, CCTV, alarms, and presence controls. The Windows®-based software can be custom-designed.

On-Line Series: Onity Wireless Lock OWL

The Onity wireless lock provides an integrated, cost-effective method for securing locations where wiring was previously cost-prohibitive. The controller technology is built into the lock, offering an inexpensive solution to door wiring network infrastructure. The OWL lock can save customers up to 70% compared to wired access systems. Available in wireless and off-line solutions, OWL provides local decision making at the lock for up to 5,000 keycards, employing a stand-alone power and an intelligent onboard database. The lock continues to operate even when power or network connectivity is lost. The OWL lock is compatible with MIFARE Classic/EV1 and HID iClass reader types, and is NFC compatible. It features a modular design for field upgrades and can be easily upgraded from off-line to wireless on-line with minimal modification. Wireless communication allows users to make updates without physical contact and receive reports on critical events in real-time.

Off-line Series

Features include standard duty locks (with or without keypad), heavy duty locks, and wall readers. Off-line installation requires no wiring, supports up to 3,000 users per door, and works with magstripe or dual (mag+smart chip) technology. Wall readers record up to the last 1,200 events, ensure accuracy by reading the mag card twice, feature green and red LEDs for status, a panic function, and are powered by 4 standard AA batteries.
