Overview

Honeywell V-Plex PIR and next-generation Dual Tec motion sensors, based on the award-winning IS3000 passive infrared and DT8000 DUAL TEC technologies, offer simple installation, superior detection, and reduced false alarms.

V-Plex motion sensors are compatible with Honeywell control panels that support V-Plex devices, including the Honeywell MAXPRO® intrusion control panel series, and utilize two-wire V-Plex technology, saving time and money.

Patented V-Plex Polling Loop Technology

By using two wires instead of four, V-Plex offers significant advantages over peer-to-peer or traditional four-wire multiplexing. For example, since each sensor can be installed using only two wires for both power and data, less money is spent on wiring. Additionally, V-Plex devices draw minimal current, requiring fewer auxiliary power supplies.

Designed for Faster Installation

Pre-drilled mounting holes with screw retention, removable terminals for easy access, and the patented flashlight walk test make installation very fast, reducing labor costs and allowing quicker progression to the next job.

IS3016A-SN, IS3016M-SN Detection Patterns

Top View

The top view detection pattern for IS3016A-SN and IS3016M-SN shows a wide, fan-shaped coverage extending up to 16 meters (53 feet) from the sensor. The pattern is symmetrical, with detection zones radiating outwards. Key distances are marked at 2m (7'), 4m (13'), 6m (20'), 8m (27'), 10m (33'), 12m (40'), 14m (46'), and 16m (53') from the sensor, covering an angular spread of approximately 40' (12m) to each side at the furthest point.

Side View with Zones

The side view illustrates the vertical detection zones. The side view for DT8320AF4-SN and DT8320F4-SN illustrates the vertical detection profile from various mounting heights. For a 10.5m (35') range, the pattern extends from the sensor at 1.8m (6') height, covering a wide area. For a 9m (30') range, from a 3.7m (12.3') height, the pattern extends horizontally. For a 6m (20') range, from a 2.4m (8') height, the pattern extends horizontally.
