1 Important Safety Instructions

Hearing Safety

⚠ To avoid hearing damage, limit the time you use headphones at high volume and set the volume to a safe level. The louder the volume, the shorter the safe listening time.

Ensure you observe the following guidelines when using your headphones:

  • Listen at reasonable volumes for reasonable periods of time.
  • Be careful not to continuously adjust the volume upwards as your hearing adapts.
  • Do not turn up the volume so high that you cannot hear what is around you.
  • You should use caution or temporarily discontinue use in potentially hazardous situations.
  • Excessive sound pressure from earphones and headphones can cause hearing loss.
  • Using headphones with both ears covered while driving is not recommended and may be illegal in some areas.
  • For your safety, avoid distractions from music or phone calls while in traffic or other potentially hazardous environments.

General Information

⚠ To avoid damage or malfunction:
  • Do not expose headphones to excessive heat.
  • Do not drop your headphones.
  • Headphones shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing. (Refer to the product's specific IP rating).
  • Do not allow your headphones to be immersed in water.
  • Do not charge your headphones when the connector or socket is wet.
  • Do not use cleaning agents containing alcohol, ammonia, benzene, or abrasives.
  • If cleaning is required, use a soft cloth, if necessary dampened with a minimum amount of water or mild soap.
  • The integrated battery shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.
  • Risk of explosion if battery is replaced by an incorrect type. Replace only with the same or equivalent type.
  • To achieve the Ingress Protection (IP) rating, the charging port cover must be closed.
  • Disposal of a battery into fire or a hot oven, or mechanically crushing or cutting of a battery, can result in an explosion.
  • Leaving a battery in an extremely high temperature surrounding environment can result in an explosion or the leakage of flammable liquid or gas.
  • A battery subjected to extremely low air pressure may result in an explosion or the leakage of flammable liquid or gas.
  • To prevent fire hazard, the device is only supplied by an external power source that must comply with PS1 (with output power less than 15W).

Operating and Storage Temperatures and Humidity

  • Store in a place where the temperature is between -20°C (-4°F) and 50°C (122°F) with up to 90% relative humidity.
  • Operate in a place where the temperature is between 0°C (32°F) and 45°C (113°F) with up to 90% relative humidity.
  • Battery life may be shorter in high or low temperature conditions.
  • Replacing a battery with an incorrect type can severely damage the headphones and battery (e.g., in the case of some lithium battery types).

3 Getting Started

Charging the Battery

Note:
  • Before first use, place the headphones in the charging case and charge the battery for 2 hours to achieve optimal battery capacity and lifespan.
  • Use only the original USB charging cable to avoid any damage.
  • End your call before charging. Connecting the earbuds for charging will turn them off.
  • If the headphones are not used for a long time, the rechargeable battery will start to lose its charge. To avoid this, please fully charge the battery at least once every three months.

Charging the Earbuds

  • Place the earbuds in the charging case.
  • The earbuds will start charging, and a white LED light will illuminate.
  • When the earbuds are fully charged, the white light will turn off.

Charging the Case

  • Connect one end of the USB Type-C cable to the charging case and the other end to a power source.
Tip:
  • The charging case acts as a portable backup battery to charge the earbuds. When the charging case is fully charged, it can fully recharge the earbuds twice.
Tip:
  • Typically, a full charge takes 2 hours (for earbuds or charging case) via USB cable.

How to Use

Select the appropriate ear tips for optimal fit.

A secure and snug fit will provide the best sound quality and noise cancellation.

  1. Test the ear tip that provides you with the best sound and comfort when wearing.
  2. 3 sizes of ear tip covers are available for replacement: large, medium, and small.

Inserting the Earbuds

  1. Check the left or right direction of the earbud.
  2. Insert the earbuds into your ears and twist them slightly until a secure fit is achieved.

Download the App

Scan the QR code / tap the "Download" button or search for "Philips Headphones" in the Google Play or Apple App Store to download the app.

The Philips Headphones app allows you to control the music you listen to. You can customize the sound to suit your music and call experience at all times.

Pairing Your Earbuds with a Bluetooth Device for the First Time

  1. Ensure the earbuds are fully charged and turned off.
  2. Open the charging case lid; the earbuds will be in pairing mode and ready to connect.
  • The LEDs on both earbuds will flash white and blue alternately.
  • The earbuds are now in pairing mode and ready to pair with a Bluetooth device (e.g., a mobile phone).

Pairing with Another Bluetooth Device

  1. Turn on the Bluetooth feature on your Bluetooth device.
  2. If you want to pair another Bluetooth device with the earbuds, simply put them in pairing mode (press the button in the case for 3 seconds with both earbuds and the lid open), then search for the second device for normal pairing.
Note:
  • After turning on, if the earbuds cannot find any previously connected Bluetooth device, they will enter pairing mode (press the button in the case for 3 seconds with both earbuds inside and the lid open).

The following example shows how to pair the earbuds with a Bluetooth device:

  1. Turn on the Bluetooth feature on your Bluetooth device, and select Philips TAT3508.
  2. Enter the earbud password "0000" (4 zeros) if prompted. For devices equipped with Bluetooth 3.0 or later, no password entry is required.

Note:
  • Take out the second earbud from the charging case, and it will automatically pair with the first one.

Switching Between Devices
  • At any time, music can only be listened to from one device. The other device will be for phone calls.
  • Pause audio from device 1, then start playing audio from another device.
Note:
  • When audio is playing from device 1, receiving a call from device 2 will automatically pause device 1. The call will be routed to the headphones.
  • Ending the call will automatically resume playback from device 1.
Note:
  • The earbuds store 4 devices in memory. If you try to pair more than 4 devices, the first paired device will be replaced by the latest one.

4 Using the Earbuds

Connecting the Earbuds to a Bluetooth Device

  1. Turn on the Bluetooth feature on your Bluetooth device.
  2. Open the charging case lid.
  • The LED indicator will flash blue.
