Thank you for choosing the 5th Wheel Electric Scooter. Please enjoy the pleasure brought by this scooter.

The electric scooter is a sports and entertainment tool, rather than a means of transportation. However, once you drive it into a public area (if it is allowed by your regional and national laws and regulations), it will also have the attributes of a means of transportation. Therefore, there are possible safety risks of all vehicles. Driving in strict accordance with the instructions set forth in this manual will protect you and others to the greatest extent, and ensure that you will comply with national and provincial traffic laws and regulations.

1 Safety Instructions

Note: Before using this product, please carefully read the following important safety information. The vehicle not intended for use in high altitude locations shall indicate that they are not intended for use at elevations greater than 2000 m above sea level.

  6. Avoid obstacle jumps and anticipate and adapt your trajectory and speed to those of a pedestrian before crossing these obstacles.   7. For your safety, please control the speed to be less than 20mph. Avoid using it at night as much as possible. If you use this product at night, turn on the headlight and control the speed to 9.3 mph or less. [icon: prohibition]

  17. Engage the kickstand when the vehicle is not in use; Flip up the kickstand before use; Do not park the vehicle on the slope. [icon: prohibition]
  18. The minimum height of the user is 55 inch, while the maximum height is no more than 86.6 inch; the maximum age of the user is 70 years old, while the minimum age is no less than 13 years old. [icon: checkmark]
  19. Braking performance and friction between the tire and road deteriorates in wet conditions, so it is harder to control the speed and easier to lose control. Slow down and brake early when it is raining. [icon: prohibition]
  20. WARNING Keep plastic covering away from children to avoid suffocation.

  22. Notify your presence when approaching a pedestrian or cyclist when you are not seen or heard. Avoid high traffic areas or overcrowded areas.
  23. Cross the protected passages while walking. In all cases, take care of yourself and others.

Pay attention before riding! [icon: warning]

  1. Press the power key to open the scooter.
  2. For safety, the factory setting of scooter is non-zero start, you need to slide the scooter to 2mph, and the throttle can be used normally.
  3. The scooter can be turned on normally and cannot ride in walking mode, but can only be pushed.
  4. Can't start when charging.
  5. Do not throw away the manual, please refer to the manual for specific operations.
  6. The suspension system have been fixed well in the manufacture, please contact with customer service if any issue occured.

4 Scooter Assembly

  1. Unfold the folding mechanism of the scooter and put down the kickstand. Unfold the scooter and fix the folding mechanism. (Refer to "Folding and Carrying" for details of unfolding.) [Image of unfolding mechanism]
  2. Insert the handlebar into the scooter stem. Connect the line connector in the head and riser. [Image of handlebar insertion]
  3. Use the tools included in the package to tighten the screws. [Image of tightening screws]
  4. After assembly, check whether the power switch can work normally. [Image of power switch check]

5 Unfolding/Folding/Carrying

1. Unfolding Operations

  1. Turn the folding clip clockwise until it is fully open. [Image of unfolding step 1]
  2. Pull up the body lever while opening the folding clip. [Image of unfolding step 2]
  3. Turn the folder clockwise until it is fully snapped. [Image of unfolding step 3]
  4. Check whether the folder key is returned to the bottom. [Image of unfolding step 4]

2. Folding Operations

Note: For safety, it is recommended to fold the scooter after it is shut down.

  1. Lift the folder key up. [Image of folding step 1]
  2. Rotate the folder counterclockwise while lifting the folder key. [Image of folding step 2]
  3. Lower the body rod slowly. [Image of folding step 3]
  4. Align it to the position of the mudguard hook, and finally hook the hook under the dashboard to the rear end of the body. [Image of folding step 4]

3. About Carrying

After folding, you can carry the scooter with one or two hands. [Image of carrying scooter]

4. About Charging

Charging Steps:

  1. Open the charge port cover, insert the charge cable, and insert the power plug into the power socket. [Image of opening port and connecting cable]
  2. Press the power button, battery power will be shown on the LED Display, and when fully charged, FL will be indicated. LED Display will be turned off after 10 seconds. During charging, you cannot ride the scooter. Only after you unplug the charge cable, can you ride the scooter. [Image of connecting charger]
  3. Turn charging, the scooter cannot be ridden.

Charging capacity: When charging, "%" lights up and real-time display of charging progress.

The adapter is built-in, and when starting to charge, the instrument panel will display the battery level, and the % number on the instrument panel will be highlighted.

6 Riding and Parking

Preparation for riding

  1. Select an appropriate riding place.
  2. Unfold the scooter according to the unfolding instructions and wear protective equipment.
  3. It is necessary to check that the steering system is correctly adjusted, that all connection elements (such as a folding system) are correctly tightened and not broken, and that the brakes and wheels are in good condition.

Riding

  1. Press the power button to turn on the scooter.
  2. Put one foot on the footboard and the other foot on the ground.
  3. Make the scooter body slide forwards to 2mph and gently press the right thumb accelerator. The scooter will slowly run forwards. When the scooter is running steadily, put the other foot onto the footboard. The larger holding angle of the right thumb accelerator, the higher the speed.

Note: For the riding safety, the scooter has a non-zero start mode. The accelerator cannot be enabled until the body slides forwards for a certain distance.

Stop

Under normal circumstances, hold either brake lever on the left or right, the motor will be immediately powered off and subjected to electric braking, meanwhile the drum brake will also effect. The harder you hold, the greater the braking force you get. More safety will be provided by holding the brake levers on both sides at the same time.

7 Control System

Instrument Display

Features: Speed Unit, Pedestrian Mode, ECO Mode, D Mode, S Mode, Headlight, Battery, Wireless Connection, Alert, Real-Time Speed, Charging Capacity, Lock, Turn Signal Icon.

Disc Brake

Hold the left brake handle. The greater the pressure, the greater the braking force.

Turn Signal

Turn Signal Control: Short press the left/right button to turn the left/right turn signal on/off; Press and hold the left or right button for 3 seconds to activate the flash function. Press the left or right button to deactivate the flash function;

LED

Power on/off status light display, red light slides from left to right when power on, red light slides from right to left when power off;

Throttle acceleration status light display, green light fades from dark to bright when accelerating;

Brake status light display, red light fades from dark to bright when braking.

Disc Brake

Hold the right brake handle. The greater the pressure, the greater the braking force.

Power Button

Short press to turn on, long press to turn off;

Press the button once to turn on the headlight;

Double press the button to shift the gear mode;

Triple press the button to shift the speed unit.

Two startup modes:

  1. Non-zero start, power-assisted gliding speed is greater than 2mph, press the dial motor to start working;
  2. Brake lever start, the factory default mode is turned off, turn this mode on in the APP, hold the brake lever and release it within 3 seconds, then press the accelerator paddle motor to start working; If the brake lever is released for more than 3 seconds and pressing the accelerator is ineffective, you need to repeat this action and press the accelerator again within 3 seconds to start working;

Gear Setting

Press the power button twice quickly to switch the gear. The gear can be set to Level ECO (max. 10mph), Level D (max. 15mph), Level S (max. 20mph) and the pedestrian mode (max. 3mph).

Brake Control

Hold either brake to lower the speed, the harder you hold the stronger brake force you get.

LED Headlight Switch

After switching on the scooter, click the LED headlight switch to turn it on/off.

Emergency Braking

Under normal circumstances, do not use emergency braking vigorously during high-speed driving, so as to avoid the riding risk or damage to the rear wheel. The company is not responsible for the damage.

Turn Signal Control

Turn signal button function: Click the left button to switch the left turn signal; click the right button to switch the right turn signal; long press the left or right button for 3 seconds to turn on the flash function; click the left or right button to turn off the flash function.

Noise Emission

The A-weighted emission sound pressure level of the vehicle in operation is less than 70 dB(A).

8 Indication Description

If there is anything abnormal about the scooter, the warning indicator will flash, with the flashing value 1-22 displayed.

Codes Errors Solutions
01 Communication Fault Communication Fault. It is recommended to check whether the connection line between the instrument and the controller is well connected. If it is connected well, or contact the official after-sales personnel.
02 2nd Brake fault Please check if the 2nd brake lever is reset to zero position, and check the brake line, brake lever, and related circuits, or contact official after-sales personnel.
03 Controller Fault Controller fault, it is recommended to replace the controller or contact official after-sales personnel.
04 Controller Overheated High temperature alarm. The temperature of the controller is too high. It is recommended to let the scooter cool before restarting.
05 Motor Fault Motor fault, it is recommended to check if the motor and controller cables are properly connected. If they are already connected, please contact the official after-sales personnel.
06 Motor Stall Motor stuck. Please release the throttle and restart the vehicle to observe if the fault disappears. If it still persists, please contact the official after-sales personnel.
07 Motor Hall Fault Motor Hall fault. Please check the wiring related to the controller and motor Hall, or contact the official after-sales personnel.
09 Motor Current Sensor Fault Motor current sensor fault. Please check the circuit related to the controller and motor phase line, or contact the official after-sales personnel.
10 Motor Overheat Motor overheat, it is recommended to cool down for a period of time and wait for the motor temperature to drop before use. At the same time, try to avoid sudden braking during use.
11 Throttle Fault Throttle fault. Please check if the throttle is reset to zero, and check the cable, throttle, and related circuits, or contact official after-sales personnel.
12 Brake Fault Brake fault. Please check if the brake lever is reset to zero, and check the brake line, brake lever, and related circuits, or contact official after-sales personnel.
13 Over Current Protect Overcurrent protection, please contact official after-sales personnel.
14 Over Voltage Protect Overvoltage protection, please contact official after-sales personnel.
15 Under Voltage Protect Undervoltage protection, please check the battery voltage and capacity, or contact official after-sales personnel.
16 BMS Fault BMS fault. It is recommended to check whether the controller and battery cables are well connected, or contact official after-sales personnel.
17 Battery overheat alarm Battery temperature alarm, battery temperature is too low. Please check the battery temperature and restart after meeting the conditions.
18 Battery low temperature alarm Battery temperature alarm. The battery temperature is too high. Please check the battery temperature and let it sit for a period of time before turning it on.
19 Battery low temperature charging alarm Battery low temperature charging alarm, battery temperature is too low. Please check the battery temperature and wait until the conditions are met before charging.
20 Battery charging over temperature alarm Battery charging over temperature alarm. The battery temperature is too high. Please check the battery temperature and let it sit for a period of time before charging.
21 Battery cell voltage disbalance alarm Battery fault. It is recommended to contact the official after-sales personnel.
22 Short circuit fault in battery AFE cell detection cable Battery fault. It is recommended to contact the official after-sales personnel.

9 About Charging

Charging Steps:

1. Open the charge port cover, insert the charge cable, and insert the power plug into the power socket.

2. Press the power button, battery power will be shown on the LED Display.

3. Turn charging, the scooter cannot be ridden.

10 About the Battery and Charger

Each electric scooter is equipped with a dedicated lithium battery and charger cable. Both the scooter and its accessories have product identification numbers. It is forbidden to use the charger cable of other brands. The charger cable provided by the company must not be used for other purposes. The company is not responsible for the resultant damage to the battery or charger.

Battery: The lithium battery provided by the company can be recharged for at least 800 times, and more than 1,000 times under normal circumstances. Please charge full battery for the first time before using it. The battery can be charged at any time, and there is no any damage to charge it frequently. Meanwhile, please don't forget to charge it per 3 months if you don't use it for a long term.

Operating Temperature: Charging: 0°C~45°C, Discharging: -20°C~60°C.

Built in Charger adapter: The dedicated charger provided by the company has charging protection function for the built-in charger. When the battery is 100% charged, the charger will be powered off automatically. The charging time is about 5-6 hours. Damage to the battery arising from water, collision and other abnormal factors is excluded from the warranty policy.

Charging instructions:

11 App Description

We pay great attention to user experience and constantly inject new functions into the App, so the App UI may change with version updating. The following contents are for reference only, please follow the instructions based on the current App version.

  1. Please use your mobile phone to scan the QR code to download the App, or search "Invanti", "Invanti Mobility", "5thWheel" or "5thWheelTrip" in the app store to download and install it. If you have installed the App, please ensure it is the latest version. [QR Code Image]
  2. Open the App, complete the registration for the first time use. After registering, please login to the homepage, tap "+" on the upper right or Search Devices button in the mid-lower section, then follow prompts to add your scooter. Please keep your Bluetooth and scooter on, and try again if you fail to scan. [Images of Android and iOS app interfaces]

Special note: About the locking function, it can only ensure that the scooter can't run normally. Due to the light weight of the whole scooter and the whole scooter is composed of mechanical parts, it can be removed with corresponding tools. To prevent your electric scooter theft, suggest always park your scooter in a well-lit and highly visible area for you, or invest in a high-quality and sturdy lock that can keep it securely locked up.

12 Maintenance

Lubrication

For maintenance, add a small amount of white grease or lubricant to the folded part once every six months. Check the scooter once every three months for screw loosening. Tighten the loose screw.

Battery

When you get the electric scooter for the first time, please fully charge the battery before using the scooter. The battery can be charged at any time to ensure the power supply. It will not be damaged during charging. When not in use, the battery needs to be charged once every three months.

Storage and daily maintenance

Avoid leaving scooter under direct sunlight or in severely humid places for a long time. Keep the scooter clean. Regularly check the tightening of the various bolted elements, in particular the wheel axles, the folding system, the steering system and the brake shaft. WARNING! As with any mechanical component, a vehicle is subject to high stresses and wear. The various materials and components may react differently to wear or fatigue. If the expected service life for a component has been exceeded, it may break suddenly, therefore risking causing injuries to the user. Cracks, scratches and discoloration in the areas subject to high stresses indicate that the component has exceeded its service life and should be replaced.

Cleaning Recommendations

If you see stains on the scooter's body, wipe them off with a damp cloth. If the stains won't scrub off, put on some toothpaste, and brush them with a toothbrush, then wipe them off with a damp cloth.

Do not clean the scooter with alcohol, gasoline, kerosene or other corrosive and volatile chemical solvents to prevent dire damage. Do not wash the scooter with a high-pressure water spray. During cleaning, make sure that the scooter's turned off, the charging cable is unplugged, and the rubber flap is closed as water leakage may result in electric shock or other major problems.

Routine Inspection

  1. Before riding, please confirm the folding mechanism is locked;
  2. Please check whether the tires are badly worn. Please contact the local authorized dealer if they needs to be replaced;
  3. Please check whether the tire pressure is at the standard value. If the tire pressure is too low, please inflate the tires immediately;
  4. Please check whether the wear condition of the brake pad affects the use of the brake system. If so, please contact the local authorized dealer to deal with the problem;
  5. The screws used in this product are self-tightened screws. Please note that the effect may be gone after several times of tightening.
  6. WARNING – Risk of Fire and Electric Shock – No User Serviceable Parts.
  7. Prolonged Exposure to UV Rays, Rain and the Elements May Damage the Enclosure Materials, Store Indoors When Not in Use.

14 Authentication

The product has passed the ANSI/CAN/UL-2272 certification. The battery complies with the UN/DOT 38.3.

According to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Compliance Statement as follows: The product complies with part 15 of the FCC rules, and the operation must meet the following two conditions: (1) the product should not cause harmful interference, and (2) the product must accept any received interference, including interference that may lead to accidental operation. Any change or modification not expressly approved by the responsible party may make void the user's right to operate the product.

The EU Compliance Statement is as follows: WEEE needs to properly dispose of and recycle the product. This sign indicates that the product should not be disposed of together with other domestic waste throughout the EU. Therefore, in order to prevent possible harm of uncontrolled waste treatment to the natural environment or human health, it is necessary to recycle it and promote the sustainable reuse of material resources.
