Overview
This document provides the wiring diagram for integrating a mouse control system into 2012-2015 Lexus RX models. It details the connections between the new system components and the vehicle's original equipment (OEM) wiring and modules.
Read Before Use
- For audio playback via CarPlay/Android Auto, ensure the OEM system is set to "Aux" mode and the phone is connected to the new Bluetooth network.
- To switch between the Hamilton interface and the original vehicle interface, long-press the Menu button on the mouse (for 12-15 RX models) or the voice hang-up button on the steering wheel (for 09-11 RX models) for approximately 3 seconds.
- Always disconnect the vehicle's battery before commencing installation. A full installation video guide is available on the Hamilton YouTube channel.
Main Unit Connections
The main unit interfaces with the vehicle's existing systems via several connectors:
- OEM GVIF wire (Part # 3.001.108): Connects to the vehicle's original GVIF source.
- 4G (Optional): Provides optional 4G connectivity.
- GPS 4G: Connects to the vehicle's GPS antenna.
- USB (Part # 3.001.097): Provides USB connectivity for features like wired CarPlay.
Optional and Vehicle-Specific Connections
Additional connections may be used depending on the vehicle's configuration and desired features:
- SIM: For 4G connectivity.
- USB: An additional USB port.
- AV-IN: For auxiliary audio/video input.
- CAMERA: Connects to a camera source.
- MIC: Connects to a microphone.
- 360-Ctl: This connection should only be made if the vehicle is equipped with a factory 360-degree camera system.
- OEM 360: This connection is only used if the vehicle has factory-installed 360-degree cameras.
Power and Control Connections
Power and control signals are managed as follows:
- 09-14 RX/ES Mon Power (Part # 3.001.109): Provides power for the unit, specifically for 09-14 RX/ES models.
- Power Wire: Connects to the vehicle's power supply.
- OEM MIC: Connects to the vehicle's original microphone.
- OEM Monitor: Connects to the black plug located at the back of the OEM screen.
- Touch Pad: Connects to the vehicle's touch pad interface.
Component Connections and Notes
Specific components and their connections are detailed below:
- Camera: Connects to the camera input.
- Mouse: Connects to the mouse interface.
- Speaker: Connects to the vehicle's speaker output.
- Reverse: This connection is marked as "Not used" in this diagram.
Note on Mouse Connection: For 2012-2015 Lexus RX models equipped with a mouse, the connection is made physically underneath the mouse control itself.

Control Interface Operation
