HMI WING HY Control Panel Manual
VTS WING EC Air Curtains
The HMI WING HY is a control panel designed for all types of WING EC air curtains. It features an interface with the Modbus RTU protocol for easy integration with Building Management Systems (BMS). Operation is intuitive and user-friendly, thanks to a comfortable, practical touch keypad and a backlit screen.
Constructed from high-quality electronic components, the HMI WING HY controller is built for continuous operation on a 230 V AC single-phase power supply. Its thoughtful design allows for easy installation into a standard Ø60 mm flush mounting box using a special mounting bracket, which also facilitates easy panel installation and removal. Electrical wires connect directly to the terminal block at the rear of the controller.
Key Features:
- Three-position regulation of fan speed for EC motors.
- Three-position regulation of heating power.
- Integrated thermostat and programmer function for weekly scheduling (working days/weekends, 4 heating periods per day).
- Support for external door sensor with three automatic operation modes: Door (default), Room, and Door + Room.
- Optimizes curtain operation for continuous and reliable performance, enabling significant energy savings.
Display and Operation
The HMI WING HY features a backlit graphic LCD display with white text on a blue background.
Key Display Elements:
- FAN SPEED: Indicates the current fan speed setting (?️).
- ROOM SET EXTO: Displays current room temperature (?), set temperature (?️), and indicates if an external sensor (EXT) is active.
- TIMER: Shows timer status (⏰).
- AM/PM: Indicates AM or PM for time settings.
- Day Indicators: MON TUE WED THU FRI SAT SUN for weekly programming.
- AUTO: Indicates automatic mode.
- COOL ON / HEAT ON: Shows cooling (❄️) or heating (?) status.
- Timeline: A 24-hour timeline for programming daily schedules.
Basic Operations:
- Day of the Week Selection: Use [Set] + [v] to hold/select.
- Hour/Minute Setting: Use [Set] + [v] to hold/select.
- Screen Lock: Hold [v] to lock/unlock the screen (?).
- Door Open/Close: Function related to door sensor status (?↔️).
Operating Modes
The controller supports various operating modes:
- Heating Modes: Operation of single [heater coil] or two [heater coil] sections.
- Calendar-Based Work: Yes/No selection for programmed schedules ([calendar]).
- General Modes: Heating (?), Ventilation (?️), or Heating + Ventilation (??️).
- Automatic Operation Modes (with optional door sensor):
- Door (default): Heating/ventilation active only when the door is open (?), maintaining set temperature.
- Room: Heating/ventilation active regardless of door status, maintaining set temperature (ventilation manual activation) (?).
- Door + Room: Heating/ventilation active based on door sensor and room temperature, maintaining set temperature (?+?).
Programming
Weekly Programming:
Access weekly programming by holding the [ ] button for approximately 5 seconds when the controller is off. Navigate through settings using [Set] and change values with [^] and [v]. Up to four heating periods can be programmed per day, individually for each day of the week.
Advanced Settings (A): Enter by holding the [ ] button for 5 seconds with the controller off. Navigate with [Set], change values with [^] and [v].
Advanced Settings (C): Enter by holding the [Set] button for 5 seconds with the controller off. Navigate with [Set], change values with [^] and [v].
Door Optimum Function (Function AA): Allows programming fan speed adjustments based on door status (+0, +1, +2 increase). This function influences fan speed in 'Door' and 'Door + Room' modes.
Extra Heating Time (Function B1): Programmed heating duration after door closure (0-90 seconds).
