Note on Accessory Output

? NOTE: The RED accessory output wire from the LPTA25 interface is rated at 10A Max output for most aftermarket head units. Scosche Industries Inc. does NOT recommend connecting additional +12A switched accessories to this output source as that may cause damage to the LPTA25 module itself. If 10A output is not sufficient, then a relay is needed. (Relay not included)

Steering Wheel Wiring Codes

The SWC Wiring Diagram shows a 3.5mm connector with wire loops labeled Violet, Green, and Orange. Connections are provided for KEY 1, KEY 2, and GND, intended for connection to an aftermarket stereo.

  1. Prepare SWC steering wheel connector harness by using the chart below.
  2. Connect the harness to the interface module.
  3. For Alpine, Clarion, JVC, Panasonic and Sony car stereos, connect the 3.5mm male steering plug into the steering wheel input jack at the back of the stereo.
  4. For Kenwood and newer JVC stereos, connect the BROWN wire from the steering wheel harness to the "Remote in" wire at the back of the stereo.

Use the SWC radio samples cuts illustrated as possible outcomes to your installation. Please note that the wire loops are only meant to be cut if necessary for your installation. LPTA25 Wiring Diagram

The LPTA25 Wiring Diagram details connections to an aftermarket radio and the vehicle. It shows the interface module connecting to the vehicle harness. Specific connections to the aftermarket radio include: USB Retention (from aftermarket radio to vehicle), Navigation Connections (Pink for VSS, Lt. Green for Parking Brake Trigger, Purple/White for Reverse Signal, Blue/White for Amp Turn On), Antenna (Blue wire connects to 12V Ignition), RCA Aux In (Red/White), Camera Video Signal Output (Yellow), Key 2, Key 1, 3.5MM, and GND. A table lists stereo brands (Alpine, Clarion, JVC, Kenwood, Panasonic, Pioneer/Sony, Other Brands) with their required configurations and connection types to the stereo.
