✨ Features
Retains:
- Steering wheel controls (if equipped)
- OEM Phone Buttons (If equipped)
- Amplifier (if equipped)
Compatibility:
- Compatible with old and new 22 Pin Vehicle Connectors (See 'A' & 'B')
- Compatible with amplified systems
? Amplified Systems
For vehicles with factory amplified sound systems: The factory system accepts two channel audio only. The factory amplifier fading is controlled by data communication from the factory radio. Therefore, the aftermarket radio will not have the capability to control the factory amplifier. Please connect the front outputs of the aftermarket radio to the rear inputs of the 22-pin Scosche connector. This will allow Bluetooth hands-free audio and navigation voice prompts to be heard. The rear speaker outputs of the aftermarket radio will not be used. The factory amplifier BALANCE and FADER is set to center by the interface.
? Wiring Color Codes
WIRE COLOR | FUNCTION | WIRE COLOR | FUNCTION |
---|---|---|---|
White= | Left Front Positive (LF+) | Gray= | Right Front Positive (RF+) |
White/Black= | Left Front Negative (LF-) | Gray/Black= | Right Front Negative (RF-) |
Green= | Left Rear Positive (LR+) | Violet= | Right Rear Positive (RR+) |
Green/Black= | Left Rear Negative (LR-) | Violet/Black= | Right Rear Negative (RR-) |
Black= | Chassis Ground | Orange= | Illumination |
Yellow= | +12V Constant Power | ||
Red= | +12V Accessory | ||
Blue= | +12V Power Antenna (Remote Out) |
? Navigation Connections:
- Pink = VSS Vehicle Speed Pulse Signal
- Lt. Green = Parking Brake Trigger (-12V when park brake ON)
- Purple/White = Reverse Signal
- Blue = Amp Remote
? Notes:
- The RED accessory output wire from the LPCR15 interface is rated at 10A Max output for most aftermarket head units.
- We do NOT recommend connecting additional +12A switched accessories to this output source as that may cause damage to the LPCR15 module itself.
- If 10A output is not sufficient, then a relay is needed. (Relay not included)
⚙️ Steering Wheel Wiring Codes
A diagram shows the SWC wiring connections. It includes a 3.5mm jack, GND, Key 1, and Key 2. Wires are labeled Violet, Green, and Orange, representing loops.
STEREO BRAND | CONFIGURATION | CONNECTION TO STEREO |
---|---|---|
ALIPNE | Cut Green Loop | 3.5mm |
CLARION | Cut Violet Loop | 3.5mm |
JVC | Cut Green & Violet Loop | 3.5mm or Brown (Key1) |
KENWOOD | Cut Orange & Green | Brown (Key 1) |
PANASONIC | Cut Orange | Brown (Key 1) |
PIONEER / SONY | Do Not Cut Loops | 3.5mm |
OTHER BRANDS | Call Tech Support | Brown, Gray, Black |
Connection Steps:
- Prepare SWC steering wheel connector harness by using the chart above.
- Connect the harness to the interface module.
- For Alpine, Clarion, JVC, Panasonic and Sony car stereos, connect the 3.5mm male steering plug into the steering wheel input jack at the back of the stereo.
- For Kenwood and newer JVC stereos, connect the BROWN wire from the steering wheel harness to the "Remote in" wire at the back of the stereo.
✂️ SWC Harness Sample Cuts
Sample cuts for SWC radio harnesses are illustrated for Alpine, Kenwood, and Pioneer & Sony stereos. These diagrams depict wire loops (Orange, Green, Violet) that may need to be cut to configure the harness for specific stereo brands. Do NOT detach the loops from the connector, cut only. ? Wiring Diagram
The LPCR15 Wiring Diagram shows the interface module connecting to an Aftermarket Radio and the Vehicle Harness. Connections to the Aftermarket Radio include Key 2, Key 1, 3.5MM, and GND. Navigation signals (Reverse, Parking Brake, Speed Pulse, Amp Remote) are also routed. The interface connects to the vehicle via two possible 22-pin connectors, labeled 'A' and 'B', which then connect to the 'Vehicle Harness'.
