Assembly Instructions
Step 1: Prepare Mounting Plate
Loosely thread the screws [AA] and the hex nuts [DD] onto the round mounting plate [CC] as shown. Adjust the screw length according to the fixture canopy depth.
Attach this assembly to the outlet box using the mounting screws supplied with the outlet box (not provided). Tighten securely.
Lift up the fixture and pass the screws [AA] through the two mounting holes in the fixture canopy. While holding the fixture, thread the screws [AA] in or out of the round mounting plate [CC] until 3/16" of threads are showing. This length should be sufficient for mounting.
Next, take the fixture down and tighten the hex nuts [DD] up against the round mounting plate [CC] to secure the screw length.
Diagram shows incorrect and correct mounting plate adjustment. The correct method displays screws [AA] and hex nuts [DD] on the mounting plate [CC], with 3/16" [5mm] of screw thread exposed for attachment to the outlet box. Text indicates: "Thread both screws up & down for adjustment".
Step 2: Attach Assembly to Outlet Box
Attach the prepared mounting plate assembly to the electrical outlet box using the mounting screws supplied with the outlet box (not provided). Tighten securely.
Diagram illustrates the mounting plate [CC] being attached to an electrical outlet box with mounting screws. Arrows indicate tightening.
Step 3: Determine Hanging Length and Assemble Stems
Determine the desired hanging length of your fixture by adding/removing stems [FF]/[GG] and nipples [HH]. Cut the electrical wire and ground wire to the appropriate length, ensuring at least 6 inches of wire extends past the canopy for connections.
Do NOT cut electrical wires or ground wires until the overall length is determined.
Once hanging length is set, pull the wires through the unassembled stems [GG] and nipples [HH]. Then, assemble the stems and nipples tightly together.
Attach one end of the assembled stems to the fixture (A) and secure tightly. Pass wires through the canopy (B) and secure it tightly to the stems [FF].
Diagram shows stems [FF, GG] and nipple [HH] being assembled and threaded onto the fixture (A) and canopy (B). Wires are shown passing through the components.
Step 4: Make Electrical Connections
Strip 3/8" of insulation from the electrical wire ends.
Using wire nuts [BB]:
- Connect the smooth fixture wire to the white supply wire from the outlet box.
- Connect the ribbed fixture wire to the black supply wire from the outlet box.
Connect the fixture ground wire and supply ground wire using a wire nut or by fastening to the ground screw on the round mounting plate. Push all wire connections into the outlet box.
Diagram illustrates wire connections using wire nuts [BB]. Shows smooth fixture wire to white supply wire, ribbed fixture wire to black supply wire, and ground wire to ground screw/wire nut.
Step 5: Secure Fixture to Canopy
Pass the screws [AA] through the two holes in the canopy (B). Secure the fixture to the screws [AA] using the two cylinder nuts [EE] provided. Tighten securely in place.
Diagram shows the fixture canopy (B) being attached to the mounting plate assembly using screws [AA] and cylinder nuts [EE].
Step 6: Install Lamps
Thread the lamps (not included) into the fixture sockets. Use a 100-watt MAX incandescent medium base lamp, SBCFL or SBLED.
Diagram shows the completed fixture with a lamp being screwed into the socket.
